The customer service was good. The car was great, but the front passenger seat was not hugely cushioned comfort for a really long drive. We returned the car to an airport and received prompt shuttle service to the airport, which was appreciated.

Seamless from booking , pick up and drop off. Great staff in Tina and Ron at the Auckland branch. Much appreciated service by the two who were very thorough with their explanation of the procedures. All done with a great smile. Will be using Bargain Rental Cars again.

Very helpful and friendly crew! We wanted to upgrade our rental vehicle at short notice, so firstly spoke to a helpful person who made recommendations, then transferred us to the airport branch. The staff made the transition very smooth by going over and above to make sure it could happen.

Nous avons loué un "large people mover" pour un road trip en famille (2 adultes + 2 enfants et tout l'équipement pour camper avec la tente), nous avons été très agréablement surpris ! On avait lu pas mal de commentaires négatifs sur la qualité des voitures, mais nous avons eu un super grand Toyota Alphard, très confortable, avec un coffre super spacieux, aucun ennui mécanique, il a parfaitement fonctionné durant les 6000 km que nous avons parcourus sur l'île du Nord et du Sud. Les prix défiaient toute concurrence, à recommander sans problème ! (Il y a un shuttle gratuit pour vous déposer/récupérer à l'aéroport, service au top)

Great service, car was exactly as promised. Had an Xtrail hybrid for 2 weeks. I will always use when going back to New Zealand. Value for money.

Seamless Interaction. Staff were very helpful. I didnt have to wait at all to pick the car up and it was very quick to drop it off. I have dealt with other car rental companies that have felt the need to go over the car with a fine tooth comb clearly trying to get you for something, BRC didnt do this at all. I would highly recommend to family and friends - in fact I already have!

Booked on line which was fairly simple.
Arrived by taxi to the BRC depot & was quickly served. service staff ran through the transaction, explained things well, informed me re Tolls & took me to my car (older, a hybrid, ran well & very fuel economic).
Drop off simple although was a bit busy so a bit of a wait, but the vehicle check was very quick.
Office is ok but a bit small & customer wifi would be nice extra, especially as many of the hirers are from overseas with no wifi access..

Staff were very professional, efficient. Over all experience is awesome.

Quick and Easy pick up and drop off. Great wee car that was cost effective. Friendly service. Would definitely use again.

The airport pick up drop was awesome and also I was given a chance to change the vehicle without any cost at all

BCR staff made extra effort to provide excellent service. Made second trip to drop off items I left in car.

1. On December 16th 2024 Bargain Rentals Cars near Auckland airport delivered to us a Nissan Nevara 6 seats while we were promised us a larger van 7 seats Toyota Estima. I complained about that but the employee at the reception told us it was the only vehicle available.
2. The car was delivered to us without a spare tire. Bargain Rental cars maintained there is no spare tire on that Nissan. It took me 2 minutes to find on YouTube some videos how to replace a tire (that is supposed to be under the car, under the left seat) on the same van, same year.
That was a first manifestation of bad faith.
We took an Uber (with the wheel with the flat tire) for 25 minutes, got a new tire mounted in 15 minutes, and were back to our rental home in another 25 minutes. As we wanted to continue our visit of your New Zealand, I figured out that would be quicker than waiting for assistance.
Still, the whole issue would have been solved quicker if there was a spare wheel.
3. This 2012, 130K+ Km van has serious front suspension issues. Lots of vibration while braking. Probably worn-out bushings.
As I have worked in automotive engineering for 45 years I pretty good about evaluating` such issue.
4. The car turned to the left while braking. As suspension alignment was necessary.
5. The right front and right rear tires were only at 2/3 of the recommend pressure.
Bargain Rentals Cars offered us a compensation that was ridiculous for the troubles we went through.
All in all a really bad experience.

NEVER AGAIN BARGAIN RENTAL CARS AUCKLAND!
I rented a car for 40 days from November to December 2024 and at first I was given a scrab car, the cover of the speedometer was so scratched that I couldn't see how fast I was going, so the car wasn't roadworthy at all. Inside, the car was also totally dirty, the seats smeared, comment from the employee at Lunn Av.: that's far too cheap what you pay. Customer service? Zero point zero. Bargain didn't respond to any of my emails, even though the website says they'll get back to me in 12 hours at the latest. Only after a lengthy phone call I was able to change the car (time-consuming, I then had to drive to the airport). The second car was ok, but the petrol tank was not full. Again, no response from customer service, I then returned the car with the same tank of petrol as I had received it. TIP: ALWAYS TAKE PHOTOS OF THE CONDITION OF THE CAR AND THE TANK!

Great rental experience in Christchurch! Our 2018 Toyota Highlander drove like a dream. Very comfortable and plenty of luggage space. Shayla was super friendly and helpful. She did a wonderful job of explaining our rental agreement and also some of the vehicle features. 5 stars all the way!
