Cute cottage in LaJolla
The company was great, good communication and quick to respond to our questions. Check in and check out was easy. The house was cute, and in a great location for walking everywhere in LaJolla including restaurants and grocery stores. The beds were comfortable and the linens were really nice.I would probably rent there again, with some improvements. Throughout the house there were signs of deferred maintenance. Aside from the fact that it could use an interior paint job and a deep cleaning, the faucet in the kitchen needs replacing, it is vertical loose. The low quality cookware is scratched and seen better days, finally, the couch in the living room is badly stained and very uncomfortable. It should be replaced especially if it will be used for sleeping. We were in the house for five nights and did use the kitchen to cook. If you don’t plan on spending much time in the house these things may not be an issue for others.

Bad experience!
We stayed at Windsor Island villa about three weeks ago, and we paid a considerable amount of money for our stay. The only positive thing I can say is that the children’s rooms are indeed beautifully designed—very unique—and for kids, it truly is an amazing experience to sleep in a bed shaped like Anna and Elsa’s castle or in an Avatar-themed room. Beyond that, I’m afraid I have nothing good left to say.
The villa stinks. Not “not clean enough,” not “poorly maintained”—it literally smells bad in every sense of the word.
The bedding smelled as though it had not been washed, with an extremely strong odor of urine.
The sofa in the living room was so dusty and dirty that we were disgusted to sit on it.
The same goes for the outdoor furniture.

Great staff resulted in great vacation
Rented property about a year out. Molly and the TV staff kept me up to date with details along with potential promotions and deals. Travel day prior to arrival, notified by staff of gas leak found during property final inspection. TV staff went to work and within hours, found an upgraded villa to replace current property at the same price. Staff continued to communicate with me throughout the stay to ensure our needs were met. Hats off to the Top Villa team and will continue to use them in the future.

After days of trying to find the “perfect vacation present” for my family I called Top Villas and spoke with Kedesh, about a vacation rental. Within 1 hour of working together we found THE ONE! Kedesh made the booking very easy.

Abus de confiance et vol sur le taux de change
J’ai réservé 3 semaines en Floride et payé en euros sans vérifier « le taux de change » pratiqué j’ai reçu une facture en dollars de 3660$ ors que j’ai payé 4590€ soit 5300$ !
J’ai demandé un remboursement des euros versés pour payer en dollars mais cela m’a été refusé. La facture ne correspond pas au montant que j’ai payé je considère qu’il s’agit d’une fraude.

Nightmare vacation
Our experience has been subpar from the beginning, but once settled in the 11BR home in encore resorts, it became very clear that this company is more into scams and racketeering than a “luxury booking resource”.
I was told the morning of our arrival the pool heat I had prepaid for was not functional, when I asked to be refunded I received an email on day 2 of our stay that in fact, without notifying me, the pool heat was working and we could have a $50 resort credit (not useful to us). Of course, we had not used the pool presumably bc of not having the heater. The home is damaged in nearly every part of it and the floors were so dirty our kids feet were black within the first hour of arrival. The worst part is that I called to specifically discuss parking at the house bc of how large our party was, and was told without doubt that we would be notified of any concerns and just to avoid parking on the street. The first night of our stay, a parking security guard came by and took photos of vehicles, they were asked if we needed to move the cars and we were told that they were fine. It seemed weird, but they were friendly and we went to the parks the following morning on a shuttle, leaving the cars exactly as they were the night before. We came home to towed cars (containing our children’s car seats). Topvillas has been radio silence, the encore resort points their fingers at the parking security, while that company points their fingers back to the encore clubhouse. It’s a racket. Do not trust this company.
Updating after Top Villas reply re: cleanliness.
I called the night of our arrival to alert you to how dirty the space was and sent photographs showing damaged items, dirty toilets, bugs in the master bath tub, and throw up on chairs. You did not offer to send another cleaning crew or anyone to inspect after you were notified by us.

As of 11/11/2025; TopVillas has offered to refund my pool services if I sign a gag order and waiver of liability. For images of the above records, I have posted reviews to Google that allow pictures.

We are truly sorry to hear that your experience fell short of your expectations and we understand how frustrating it must have been to encounter issues during your visit.
With regards to the pool heat concern, I apologise for any confusion caused with regards to the availability of pool heating during your stay. Whilst the Property Manager had previously advised that the pool heater was not working, they then worked hard to solve this issue prior to your arrival, so that this service was available for your stay. However, we have reached out to them today for clarity on this, as you still may be entitled to a partial or full refund as a gesture of goodwill. As soon as we have an update from them, we will let you know.
Regarding the towed vehicle, this was managed by the resort’s third-party security company due to the car overhanging the sidewalk. While parking enforcement is completely outside of our control, we’ve shared your feedback with the resort to help improve clarity around their policies in future.
We also apologise for your dissatisfaction with regards to the cleanliness and condition of the home. The Property Manager has advised that they did reach out to you regarding these matters as soon as they were reported, however any furniture changes need to be approved by the Home Owner. Upon reviewing the photos you provided, we observed signs of general wear and tear consistent with regular use, but we were unable to identify any evidence of pests or throw up. We would like to assure you that all of our homes are professionally cleaned and inspected prior to each guest’s arrival. Furthermore, rental properties are subject to wear and tear by their nature. Nevertheless, I have forwarded your comments to the housekeeping and maintenance teams for review moving forward.
We truly regret that your stay did not reflect the high level of service we aim to provide. Our Resolutions Team will contact you directly with a view to resolving this matter amicably.

Great site with excellent selections of homes
Great site with excellent selections of homes. I took my kid to Disney and Universal Studios which was in short driving distance. The owner of the home had an excellent set up with themes in every room and two arcades in the house. It was hard to leave the house with so many activities to do there. The only negative I would say is I booked this once and I was told afterwards that my booking was cancelled even though my deposit was paid. There was some double booking issue. I had to move some things around and schedule it later.

What an absolute disappointment this company are! We had so many problems with the villa we were put in and top villas were not helpful in responding to and rectifying the problems! We should never have been put in this villa and top villa have been awful as dealing with our complaint! I would never use them again!
