I've purchased Office 2021 Professional Plus for myself and helped friends purchase it. It really was a seamless process each time and you do get a genuine Microsoft licence and product key, all for a low one time cost and on top of that, Microsoft will support it for 10 years, until 2031. Communications from The Software City are also excellent.

I was initially pretty happy with my experience purchasing software from Software City. Communication was initially good and helpful. The software install was bumpy however, because the technician deleted a Microsoft product (Publisher) unrelated to the offerings that came with Office Pro 2024, and he did not offer to address this in the installation process. So disappointing. He later offered in an email to replace the product that he had deleted (Publisher), using my original product key. However, instead of reinstalling the version I had (that he had deleted), he proceeded to uninstall the product I purchased from him (Office Pro 2024) and replaced it with Office Pro 2021, because it includes Publisher in the package. He did this without any explanation, or conversation about why he wasn't doing what he said he would do in our email exchange. At this point I wasn't going to argue, but I asked him to refund me the difference in price and also give me the product key for the new product he installed (Office Pro 2021). Thankfully he gave me the refund, but told me that the product key would be useless and there was no sense in providing it to me. We argued about that a bit, because product keys are critical if you ever lose your software and it needs to be reinstalled. Obviously he had a clandestine reason for not providing the product key to me. Even with all of the trouble I would have given 4 stars if the technician had fixed the problem of the uninstalled Publisher product with honesty and integrity. But now, not having a product key for the Office Pro 2021 product installed on my computer, Software City deserves only 1 star.

UPDATE 10/12: Several days after the install of Office Pro 2021 by Software City, NONE of the shortcuts placed on my desktop are working. This problem has a real negative impact, as I make my living working from home using Office products. I will not be contacting Software City to fix this problem, as they have lost my trust completely.

I purchased Microsoft Office after comparing it with Microsoft 365. The Software City site provides a clear description of both and gives suggestions that were helpful in making a decision. Downloadimg and installing the software was easy, and instructions were complete and clear. Great communication and confirmation during and after purchase. Everything was top notch! Price was great for the basic package which was perfect for me.

The purchase process and install went very well. Had a couple of queries and the staff via Chat was very quick to respond and answer the questions.

Very easy, good clear instructions, and with you through the entire purchase, and even afterward to make sure all is good. I highly recommend and would be glad to do business with them on other purchases.

I was hesitant to buy this product online, not sure if this was a legitimate product. I can say I am happy that you are legitimate and the product is what I wanted. I use Publisher and wanted this on my computer. I also did not want a subscription service. The problem I had seems to be resolved thanks to my online chat. So thank you. So far so good.

Could not use the software. Rep called me and wanted me give him access to my computer so he could help. I refused and hung up. The credit card charge was then removed. Was it a scam?

A little background, I bought a new computer strictly for CAD work and documents. It will always be offline except for the initial set up. A copy of office was purchased (order # 24963) and it worked fine, the CAD was purchased and worked OK for a while, also had trouble with a printer, ALSO VERY SLOW. It was decided to remove windows 11 and replace it with windows 10.
Before wiping Win11, I tried at least 4 or 5 times emailing TSC with no response. I wanted to ask how to preserve my recently purchased copy of office, could not find a phone number either. Windows 11 was wiped and I had to buy another copy of office (order 28683).
It is not so much the money but the hype about support, that I did not receive. I did research office options and decided to stick with MS and what I feel is a legit copy.
I am not sure it is working correctly this time because I cannot find the excel or word programs, however, I can open any of over 75 files, and do a save as xxxx to start a new file. No thesaurus and the file extensions changed that kind of scramble the word documents.

I received an emailed from James P. at The Software City. He was sorry for not answering my, 3 not 5, emails and I now believe they were just overlooked. I was told if he received them, I would not have had to purchase a second copy of office. They are refunding me for my second copy, order #28683.
I can install the original copy of office, with phone help from James at no charge if needed.
This experience represents the mostly positive reviews I had read earlier and am changing my rating to 5-stars.
