Travelled down today to look for a full travel system and bundle, we found our perfect set thanks to Jade, who guided us every step, and helped us put together a package

NEWBIE AND ME- LEEDS. STAY CLEAR OF THIS HORRIFIC COMPANY.

They hold your money and they ‘order’ your items but will sell them to someone else if they come in sooner and they have a buyer for them. - they also come to the door to unlock it and lock it behind every customer, what does that tell you.

We made a purchase in March 2026 with this company and they asked us what date we would like to collect, we advised 31st July and was advised that this was more than fine and so we proceeded and paid a deposit.

Around the middle of July we hadn’t heard anything which was fine but I sent an email to check how much balance was outstanding and to confirm a collection date - i received a response confirming the remaining balance and also to confirm that we could collect on 31/07 as agreed.

On 1st August we went to store to pay the balance and to collect our order, we were told after we had paid that only one item was available and that they were having a ‘meeting’ the following Monday to check stock / arrivals and would be in touch. - we heard absolutely nothing. - I tried to call and email the following week and had no response.

My husband then called on 11/08 and was advised that they didn’t know what the delay was but the items still weren’t there and he would get a call back that day once they had consulted with their ‘admin team’ - this call back didn’t happen.

My husband then went into store the following day 12/08 to ask for a refund as we are due our baby in two weeks and the agreement had been broken - the lady who initially dealt with him was nice and advised that she wasn’t authorised to give him a refund and that she would need to speak to the owner who wasn’t in today - my husband asked if they could call him and she did, she went away and returned with a gentleman who said they would not ring the owner, they had not broken the contract and my husband would have to come back the next day and sit from 10am - 5pm and wait for the owner - the gentleman who was dealing with him was particularly nice when other customers were around, albeit quite condescending but then when the store was empty he became aggressive and rude.

My husband left the store and called them the following day 13/08 to be told the owner wasn’t around but he had agreed as a gesture of goodwill to give us a refund, we asked them to confirm which card they would be refunding to and they didn’t know but said they would ring back, I then received an email asking for my bank details as this would apparently be easier for me, I provided by details and then got a weirdly abrupt email saying this wasn’t policy and they must refund to the card we used to pay - this email was as if it wasn’t their own suggestion at all (totally mind boggling) - my husband questioned why this refund was a gesture when in reality this is actually our basic right - they advised that their policy states that it’s discretionary when it comes to refunds. This policy felt weird but it will also be as weird as the policy they make you sign upfront to say that any deposits or instalments made towards your goods are none refundable - even in the tragic event of the worst happening where your pregnancy doesn’t essentially work out. Mamas and Papas and any other reputable brand would always return any money paid towards baby items without question to cover the event of the loss of your baby - this company will not.

We’ve since discovered that they regularly sell orders that have arrived into stock belonging to other customers if they have a buyer who will pay for them sooner, this then leaves you waiting or without your items at a time where you don’t need the stress - this has been confirmed to us by a previous / ex employee who knew nothing about our situation and told us that before we explained what had happened to us.

Do yourself a favour and go to a reputable high street or online company that have morals and will always work to consumer rights / agreements made. - not where one ‘owner’ has to decide if he fancies giving you a refund (or not)

Extremely helpful staff. Meg and Jade were amazing and left us to try out the prams but offered demonstrations on the pram and were very helpful with any questions and also great when it came to ordering our pram.

I came in today to look for my perfect stroller and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful!! The lady who helped me in the Crewe store was jade and she absolutely lovely!!I walked away happy with the perfect compact stroller great prices too!!

My husband & I went in at a weekend to look at prams / car seats. We hadn’t made an appointment & despite the store having a few customers, we felt that customer service was excellent. Megan ran through the benefits of the prams we were interested in with full demos - she was very knowledgeable about each of the ranges & gave honest advice based on our needs. We must have been there for a couple of hours but felt no time pressure or pressure to buy anything.
I returned the next day with my mum & Megan helped us again. Again, we felt no obligation to purchase, but their pricing was competitive (particularly over John Lewis where we’d already been to look) & it included the extra touches of them fitting the car seat for us when it arrives etc. A much more personal experience which I had more confidence in than the John Lewis process - I would highly recommend!

Newbie and Me was an amazing experience, especially this being my first pregnancy. I was welcomed as soon as I came in and Liv was so informative and helpful with assisting with a pushchair. Showed us how to put it up and down and how it all worked. It was so welcoming and felt so comfortable straight away.

Lovely and great service

I went in looking for a toddler car seat, as soon as I went in I was asked if I needed any help and the staff went through all the car seats and the differences and gave me their recommendations when I asked. Great customer service as they tried the car seat in my car and showed me how it worked.

Upon arrival we felt very welcomed and looked after. We are first time parents and didn’t have any idea what to look for. Laura was extremely helpful and guided us through everything. Highly recommend visiting especially if you are so unsure about anything pram related!
