The hotel was run down as expected, which is a great shame as it is a magnificent building with a fabulous view from the dining room. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.
The beds were the most uncomfortable I have experienced in many years.

2nd day was cut short and only had 2 hours in York. I've been on a mystery trip to Scarborough and York before but not had this little amount of time on the 2nd day.

We had a good holiday
We had a good holiday. The ferry crossing was smooth. The week in Ireland was lovely, we saw some lovely places. The hotel was clean and the meals were very nice.
