Wow massive rise in the renewal, and tried to contact as when I went onto their web site to get a new quote it was cheaper, no wonder no one from Napo can be bothered to respond !

my first experience with a online face to face vet and my Vet was really helpful gave me some good advice on feeding a picky Shih Tzu my Shih Tzu may not think so when I put plan into action but deff going to try. Thank you
Renewal
Have just had a renewal for my senior dog, who did not claim last year. I have been told a 5% discount has applied but it has gone up just under £800 to just under £2400!!!
I e mailed but just got a standard I bot reply indicating all the usual excuses.

Animal insurance recommendations
Hi,
I switched to Napo when my last insurance policy doubled in price.
I have had 2 reasons to deal with Napo and can honestly say,they have been seamless in helping me with my claims.
I submitted my claim and within , literally 3 days they had sorted out contact with my vet and informed me that my claim was going to be settled.
I have no connection with Napo,but I would 100% recommend you having a look at them when/if you’re looking for animal insurance. Happy to recommend.

I would definitely recommend Napovet they are quick with all claims no messing about best pet insurance I ever had my puppy as been poorly she’s at to have on going treatment and they sorted it out with in week.
Raised premium to a unreasonable price
Have been with Napo for two years without any claim with my 3 cats and this year they raised their price from 39 to 59pound per cat, which is a massive charge for a no claimed customer. This is just pure ripped off, just got myself switch to another insurance company to aviod this scam.

Very good in the first instance but renewals bad!
So initially a great experience, easy claims process and claims always paid out so cant fault that. My only issue is the renewals. My dogs went from £66 pm to over £200 as we had claimed. My other dog no claims still went from £36 to £76 for renewal but a brand new policy with a higher vet fee limit was back down to £56! They refuse to deal with this issue and just insist it is what it is and confirmed if I cancelled and took out a new one then it would be cheaper even with no claims. Why? This seems so silly and doesn't give you the feeling that your valued so unfortunately I have cancelled and gone with another insurer as have quite a few people I referred... Such a shame Napo as I thought the first year was amazing but you let everyone down with the renewals prices.

Speedy service when claiming!…
I asked the vet to claim directly from Napo and just paid the excess, to which they agreed. I have received an email today saying Napo has received the claim and would be reviewed within 2 weeks. An hour later I received an email stating it was approved! That is so much quicker than expected. Well done Napo!
Do not recommend
Have been with Napo for years with premiums increasing every year without fail. Have never had an issue in the past with claims however they now seem to be trying to get out of paying a claim for an accident & sending accusatory emails asking why my dog was given a DOGS toy.
Would not recommend.

Avoid Napo if you actually plan to use the insurance.
My renewal has jumped from £20.61/month to £64.89/month. That is more than triple, with no meaningful justification.
What is worse is that when I searched for alternatives, Napo themselves appeared offering what seems to be the same cover for £35.21/month. So new customers are offered significantly lower prices, while existing customers who have actually used the policy are charged far more.
Once you claim, you are effectively trapped. If you try to leave, pre-existing conditions are usually excluded elsewhere, so you are forced to either accept inflated renewal pricing or risk losing cover for your pet. That is not a fair position to put customers in.
The only obvious difference is that I have made claims. In other words, you are penalised for using the product as intended.
This pricing approach feels like extortion and is frankly disgusting.
I have raised a formal complaint and will escalate this further if it is not properly addressed.
If this is how customers are treated after they claim, you are better off avoiding them altogether.

Thank you for helping Felix when we needed it most
I do not think I will ever be able to properly put into words how grateful I am to Napo for everything they have done for me and my little Felix this week.
This has genuinely been one of the hardest, most frightening and emotionally exhausting weeks of my life. Watching Felix become so poorly with HCM and CHF has been absolutely heartbreaking. Anyone who loves their pet like family will understand the sheer panic, helplessness and pain of seeing them so unwell and not knowing what is going to happen. I have been running on pure stress, fear and adrenaline, trying to hold it together while rushing around, arguing with vets, trying to sort transport, and fighting just to make sure he got the treatment he needed.
I was honestly dreading contacting the insurance because you hear so many stories about companies making everything harder when you are already at breaking point. But Napo have been the complete opposite in every way.
They have been incredible.
Lou, especially, has been an absolute angel through all of this. She has listened to me when I was upset, let me cry, let me vent, and never once made me feel like I was too much, even when I know I probably was all over the place. She was kind, patient, understanding and just genuinely there for me at a time when everything felt like it was falling apart.
What meant the world to me is that she did not just treat it like a job or read from a script. She actually cared. She advocated for me, fought our corner with the vets, and stepped in when Felix’s treatment was being delayed because they were trying to charge me twice. When you are exhausted, heartbroken and terrified for your pet, having someone actually stand beside you and help carry that weight means more than I can ever explain.
At a time where I felt like I was drowning, Lou and Napo made one part of this nightmare feel safe, easy and manageable. Everything was dealt with quickly, smoothly and with real compassion, and that is something I will never forget.
This week has absolutely broken me, but the support I have had from Napo has made a painful and traumatic situation that little bit easier to survive.
Thank you for caring about Felix. Thank you for caring about me. Thank you for showing kindness when I needed it most.
