THINK VERY CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THIS…

THINK VERY CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THIS PET INSURANCE. THE POLICY SAYS THAT YOU CAN ONLY CLAIM FOR DENTAL IF THE DOGS TEETH ARE CHECKED IN THEIR 12 MONTH CHEECK BEFORE TREATMENT. SO IF YOU DOG HAS A DENTAL ISSUE YOU WILL HAVE TO WAIT FOR THE DOG TO BE CHECKED AT A CHECK UP BEFORE YOU CAN HAVE THE TREATMENT. THEY START CHEAP AND GET VERY EXPENSIVE. NOT WORTH THE MONEY

Really fast service

Really fast service, quick to respond and payment for claim made super fast. It’s a bit weird not having a number to call but when I used the site chat bot I got a callback really quickly. Overall very impressed

My Experience with NAPO insurance

My vet said I would only pay my excess and they would claim direct through NAPO,I had a e mail on the 9/4/2026 to verify the vets claim,I filled it in and submitted it and with in a hour had another e-mail with the outcome, this is the first time I have maid a claim ,I am pleasantly surprised how quick the claim was approved ,I would definitely recommend NAPO .

Great advice

Jo was very understanding & informative. She was able to ascertain that Reggie is overstimulated by the outside which is why he is reactive, some very good advice given & the follow up email had lots of suggestions & links. I think this service is very beneficial for dog owners

Great insurance company

Fabulous insurance company, fair yearly prices and pay out for what is included in your policy! Fast process when making a claim also, my dog had her operation on a Thursday and claim was approved by the Tuesday the next week!

The FirstVet service is incredible

I really appreciate the FirstVet service from Napo. It's such an incredibly valuable thing to be able to talk to a vet for free. I woke up today at 5 am because my cat was wheezing, and half-asleep, I just didn't know how serious it was or what to do. It's amazing that I could have a call with a vet in just 30 minutes to go through what's going on. Now I have a plan for my cat, I got reassurance about what to do and when, know what would make this an emergency, etc etc. If I didn't have FirstVet, I would have had to take my cat to nearest emergency vet, which would have taken over 50 minutes before I ever even talk to anyone. It's such a 10/10 service for when you need immediate advice or quickly sense check something with a vet.

Massive increase in monthly payments

The claims process was easy, we claimed around £1500 in a year with Napo and they paid out without too much fuss.

However, because we claimed two times in a year (total of around £1500), our premium has increased from £50 a month (around £600 a year), to £170 a month (around £2000 a year). Considering we would be paying more money in insurance than we have ever needed to claim, this seems like a ridiculous (and completely unaffordable) increase.

As someone who works in the veterinary profession, I am extremely disappointed in Napo for making veterinary healthcare completely unaffordable, and will be switching away from Napo.

Renewal prices are calculated based on a range of factors, including your pet’s age, breed, gender, location, veterinary fee inflation, and any previous claims. These all contribute to the final renewal cost. Our lifetime policies are designed to provide support with unexpected vet fees, so the price also reflects the lifetime cover you've built up, meaning we can continue to offer cover for the same conditions year-on-year when you renew.
