Had a few issues but the staff are…

Had a few issues but the staff are polite. They cancelled my policy at the end with a days notice. I didn’t get a renewal price via email/ post just a text to say it was finished so I had to start a new policy which caused some issues when they changed the billing date. Other than this some of the staff are amazing and managed to resolve/ explain it to me on the 3rd time I called to follow up after they advised somebody would be in touch and didn’t. Thank you to the lovely lady who’s customer service was polite and patient resolving it for me whilst I was on the phone.

I had a query on my renewal

I had a query on my renewal. I rang and spoke to a very friendly and helpful operator who sorted it out quickly. My premium had risen by around 25% in a year with no claims but we got it right down to a reasonable increase. It was well worth the call.

45% increase from last years quote

45% increase from last years quote, no claims, no contact, no service used. That can’t be justified.

Ran quotes on compare the market, got a 40% reduction offered for same cover.

Where is customer loyalty? I note I had auto renewal on, scammers.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your review.

Although our pricing team work hard to keep pricing competitive at renewal, there are factors that can increase the cost. This will partly be down to whether there have been any claims, the age and breed of your pet, along with other things such as rising vet fees and increased underwriting costs.

Petgevity offer two types of policies; the Lifetime Plus and Lifetime. Your existing policy and renewal quote are for the Lifetime Plus cover, while your new policy is for the Lifetime option.

Your new policy does not provide quite as much cover as the Lifetime Plus and does not offer pre-existing medical cover.

There are cover differences in the optional extras, excess, and bill share when comparing the two covers. These differences result in this being a cheaper option, and you can download both copies of our policy wording from your online account for comparison.

Affordable pet plan

I've been avoiding get pet insurance for my toy poodle because of the high cost involved but I knew i had to get some sort of cover because vet's fees are so high and this policy just about suits my budget.

Quick and easy to apply for a claim.
They are quick at reviewing claims.

Automatically renewed policy without…

Automatically renewed policy without giving requisite notice then failed to refund the amount that they admitted was incorrectly taken.
Continual fobbing off from customer support.
Its a shame, otherwise they were ok.

In response to their generic response. Yes, I know it should take some time - but your agent told me it would be with me by the 23/4, then they said by the 25/4. it's now the 27th and still no sign. Looks like you have a lot of technical issues

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Due to a technical issue, renewal notifications were unfortunately not sent out to some policyholders, and I completely understand how frustrating that must have been.

I can see that when you initially contacted us to request cancellation, that there was a direct debit payment that was pending, so we could not cancel your policy until our system had updated.

After discussing your renewed policy with an agent, to see if there was anything we could do on your policy, like amending the cover levels, the policy was then cancelled for you as requested on 02/04/2026. A BACS refund was issued that can take up to 15 working days to go back to your bank.

Great clarification on policy

Had some questions re-policy that I wanted clarification on. Initially emailed and had good response. Advised to phone to discuss medical issues. The lady I spoke with was lovely and very helpful.

This would have been the third year…

This would have been the third year with Petgevity however their renewal price this year was astronomical. Ist year was £400+ second year £600+ this year was a whopping £900+ yes he turned 10 this year but he is really fit with no existing issues and we have never ever claimed on his insurance. After opting out of the renewal, they did manage to get the price down to £600+ however the cover was dramatically decreased and the excess and cost share had risen. I got a much better deal elsewhere.

I am sorry to hear you are not happy with your renewal offer, whilst we do try to keep pricing as low as possible, there are many factors taken into consideration when it comes to a renewal. Some of the main factors include age, breed, inflation and new veterinary treatments, and to ensure we can continue to cover any potential costs prices may increase.

I can see you discussed your renewal with an agent who managed to offer a better price and also looked at changing the cover levels to try get a more suitable option for you.

I am sorry to hear that you have decided to cancel your renewal with us, however we thank you for being a customer with us over the last couple of years and I am pleased to hear you have found alternative cover for yourself and fury friend.
