Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping
Just received my Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping with Monarch. It was long 2 years journey with full time work. It is online course, where you need to plan your study time, to complete all the modules in timely manner. You can book zoom meetings, if you need help from trainers, but I usually used student support mail, and response was quick and very helpful. It is best if you find study buddies from the begging of the course (Monarch has Facebook page) that you can work on some questions together. Overall happy with the Institute and recommend this course.

All online, however you have the option to buy the text books at a discount price. Would recommend if you would like to do the course at your own pace.

I Do Not Recommend
The feedback on assignments is not constructive, often merely stating "not satisfactory" without explaining why or how to improve.
Email response times are inconsistent; sometimes I receive a reply the same day, while other times it can take up to five days.
It was also not made clear that I would receive a certificate of attainment rather than a certificate of completion, which is not recognised by universities.
For $1,624.00, I expected a much better experience. I would not recommend this program.

Trainer Support and Responsiveness
I really appreciate the timely response from my trainer. From replying to my email promptly to marking assessment and providing feedback, their supports have gone beyond my expectation. This level of responsiveness is what I value the most, as it made me feel I'm connected to the trainer and reassure me that I can receive support where needed.

Trainers are helpful
Trainers are helpful and provide support to push through to completion. only thing is sometime its bit hard to book a trainer last minute specially when module due date is coming and you need help.

Certificate IV in Book keeping and Payroll
I began the Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping in July and would like to share my experience so far. The course structure has been vague and poorly defined, with no clear learning outcomes provided at the start of each subject. As a result, students are largely left to navigate the material and self-direct their own learning.
For example, in the first accounting module students are instructed to "Read the learning materials, then complete the activities necessary to prepare you for the assessment task". The "reading material" refers to the two 400 page accounting text books which you are expected to read from cover to cover. The activities consist of a series of online multiple-choice quizzes, but there is no indication of which chapters they relate to, nor is there any meaningful integration with the chapter readings.
There are several videos which accompany the learning and they do relate to certain chapters but are very dry one-way lecture presentations where someone simply talks at you with very minimal engagement or interaction.
I have previously completed a micro credential with Deakin University, which was a far more structured, professional, and well-delivered course by comparison.
Support is also difficult to access, as it requires booking Zoom appointments that are rarely available until at least 24 hours after the help is needed. A quick glance at the course’s Facebook page makes it clear that students are struggling—it is filled largely with students asking one another for help rather than receiving meaningful support from the provider.
Overall, I am extremely disappointed with the quality of this course. Unlike other institutions that offer a census date or cooling-off period for withdrawal and refund, this provider does not. As a result, I am left with no choice but to either complete the course despite its shortcomings or forfeit the money I have paid. I can only hope that this review assists others in making a more informed decision about choosing this education provider.

I would recommend Monarch Institue for…
I would recommend Monarch Institue for anyone who wants to study for Advanced Tax units. I completed both Advanced tax units with Monarch and I’m very happy with the overall experience! They are very responsive to email queries. I have sent full questions and answers in emails and they have helped me over emails, and if that question needs detailed explanation we can arrange a one to one meeting with one of the support team member to get our questions clarified. Also very flexible with course plan. As we go on life happens and sometimes we cannot stick to the schedule, so as a solution they have a formal course extension system where you can buy more time (few more months) to complete the course! So overall this institute perfectly fits for anyone who’s working 9-5, and studying part time while everything else going on in life!
