Resolved now- Initial communication, Afterpay, refund issues
I decided not to do the course I enrolled in with OCA because I found another option that suited me better. I initially had issues with communication with student support and anyone else involved with my refund of deposit and cancellation of Afterpay payments, as even after my refund was approved, they still continued attempts to charge me and today the money was taken. I was very worried I was being scammed. After calling, emailing and writing a very bad review all in the same hour, it was only then that the issue was treated with urgency. Nevertheless, Carlo and his team were communicative, helpful, and assuring with the matter and I have now received a notification indicating that the refund should arrive soon. I will also note that because of all this, Afterpay has now assigned me a spending limit because it doesn’t trust me with money lol so this whole thing has basically lowered my credit score concerning Afterpay, so the damage of the issue would be ongoing for me if I was a regular user of Afterpay.
I gave three stars because of how quickly and easily it was sorted out today, but wish that it could have initially been this simple and efficient. Carlo has assured me that they will ensure this doesn’t happen to any other student.
I think online courses are great, accessible and needed in today’s world so I have high hopes for OCA

I am very satisfied with the course and really enjoyed it. I found the presentations easy to follow and understand, and I liked how each topic connected to the realities of modern life. We live in a time of constant change and cultural shifts, which can leave many people feeling uncertain, doubtful or disappointed and this can be have an impact on mental well-being across all age group and companies as well. I thought all EXPERTS involved were excellent and clearly very experienced in their fields.
The "Celebrity Mentor Sessions" were a real highlight for me. Dr Golly Pediatrician and Mental Health Advocate, was the humble spoken and professional, Wayne Schwass, Former AFL/Mental Health Advocate/Pula up Founder, with his real experiences were fantastic. I found these sessions very inspiring, especially because they encourage people/young people to have the courage to express their feelings and talk openly about what they are thinking and experiencing.
I also found the self-assessment part of the course very valuable. The prepared questions challenged me to really think about the topic, consider my own understanding, and answer honestly. At times it was challenging, nut I think that was also what made it worthwhile.
One area I felt could be improved is the lack of personal mentoring sessions. I think having the opportunity to speak with mentor or student advisor individually would be very valuable for students, particularly when discussing some of the topics in the course. I hope the support team or student advisors might consider this for future courses.
Overall, I am really happy to have gained a new skill from this course. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and found it both informative and inspiring. Thank you to everyone involved for putting together such a valuable course.
