The course was designed to do at selfpace
The course was designed to do at self pace with some set guidetimes.
Some of the material was out of date by a number of years so the answer which was true in quizzes were wrong as you needed to follow the set textbooks.
Trainers were good when you needed to get them, either via zoom or email, at times zooms were hard to get in a timely manner often a week or so out.
The facebook group was good and helpful.
Overall a good experience.

Good but needs updating
Well laid out modules however content is outdated and needs updating. Especially with the computer program units.

Do not recommend
For a company who charges what they do, the workbooks should not be outdated as they are. It should be illegal to charge what you do and be given the resources we are given. The last 3 assignments with zero were absolutely horrifically outdated. When the workbook said it was last updated in 2022/2023, it’s now 2026 and zero has an update every few months - the instructions with the step by step guide are so so wrong. I spent hours sitting there at every step trying to workout where to go because the workbook was outdated and zero has updated. Throughout the whole study time, multiple times things were unclear on where to find the correct answer. Multiple times I tried to book an appointment with a tutor to get some help with no available before I had to resubmit my assignment (2 weeks to resubmit after the first submission, and I couldn’t book an appointment for over a month at times). I had a work colleague do the same certificate and at times, I would pass a question with one answer (numbers) and she would not pass that question and she had the same figure as me. Same assessor that assessed both of ours. I passed. She did not. Make that make sense. It was horrible and I do not recommend to anyone doing this course until massive changes and updates are done.

While we were unable to find any previous concerns raised regarding the course materials during your enrolment, we appreciate the specific examples you’ve provided regarding workbook content, Xero resources and assessment instructions. We regularly review and update our courses, assessments and learning resources, and feedback such as this is valuable in helping us identify areas that may require further attention.
We’re also sorry to hear that you found it difficult to access trainer support when you needed it. Students can book support sessions directly with trainers, and our support and academic teams are also available to assist where additional help is required. While trainer availability can vary depending on demand, we appreciate that this experience left you feeling unsupported.
In relation to assessment outcomes, Monarch has a range of quality assurance processes in place, including assessment validation and moderation activities, to support fairness and consistency across our courses. While these processes are designed to minimise inconsistencies, we recognise that assessment decisions are ultimately made by people and are not immune from error. For this reason, students also have access to a formal assessment appeal process where concerns can be independently reviewed.

The course material was very informative, and the platform was easy to use. The structured timelines helped me stay focused and on track throughout the course.
The only disappointing aspect was the lack of communication after I completed the course, along with the length of time it has taken to receive my certificate and transcript.
That said, I would still recommend Monarch as a training provider. Overall, I was really impressed with the support provided during the course and how user-friendly the platform was.

Great experience with the Dip of Proj Mgt
The Diploma of Project Management course is well structured & there's no shortage of resources at your disposal. The LMS is easy to navigate & the onboarding process was seamless. Availability of the course trainers is very good & they are very supportive & will point you in the right direction with anything you're struggling with. I would recommend the structure of this particular course as instead of taking the 12 individual units of the diploma, you are taking 4 separate modules that essentially cover 3 subjects at one time. I found that you got a much more well rounded view of Project Management in action as a result of this approach.

I recently completed the Cert IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping with Monarch Institute and had a very positive experience.
