This was my first Kickstarter project ever backed and probably last. With an initial anticipated lead time of 2 months, the items were received almost 6 months later. When finally received, the valve exhaust on the mask lets your breath exit without a filter, meaning if you're infected, you will be breathing out virus unabated. The seller mentioned there is a valve cap for the item, but all that's listed on the site is a 3D printing document for you the user to source yourself. As an initial backer, I would think the seller would be sending these out to those who actually helped get his project launched instead of "Here are the files, you go figure it out."

Response: Then offer the backers the valve cap for cost of shipping that won't take 3 months to arrive. No point in writing an email when any email that was sent was never responded to.

Great product! I feel very safe when I am wearing it. Also looks very fashionable and I like the color options!

My sense is that the mask is not filtering at 99%. Air comes in very easily and it seems to me that the problem is mostly due to a series of small holes that outline the perimeter of the filter. They are partly covered by the interior plastic, but they seem to allow air in. I taped the holes, but was able to blow through a filter held to my mouth. I don't know if this is a reasonable test, but it's not something that I want to depend upon. I wrote asking about the holes, but received no response -- though with all of the people writing, I'm sure that they are overwhelmed. One sidenote -- a presumably earlier version of the filter (seen in a picture) did not have holes.

Does not fully seal for me (adult female). Hard to figure it out at first, but will work as a reusable filter that is better than paper masks.

Got my mask and I have to say it's way better than I expected. Thankfully now I don't have to wear those horrible blue things anymore.

Even better than that, I was getting total mask envy from other customers in the shops.

Edited: it took mine a good while to arrive, but Mark got (eventually) on the case and solved it instantly. The masks have arrived and they are great quality, seem practical to use and somehow fit well both my much bigger hubby and myself (tiny human) although they don't look good on me they do the job. One minor problem is that I can't use the glasses with them, not sure if this happens to other people or is just because of my child sized face, but I use contacts most of the time anyway. I am glad they send the valve cap so you can cover it :)

It’s a difficult one trying to review this mask as whilst it is without doubt far superior than anything else out there, I just cannot hide my disappointment over the way it fits me. I have a fairly large face, I wear glasses and I was really hoping that the shape of this would solve the problems of my glasses steaming up. It didn`t. In fact the seal around the nose is far worse than any of the rubber masks I have tried, and believe me I have tried them all. The best generic fascial seal shape I have come across so far was from a cheap 3M 4251 respirator mask for paint spraying which falls seriously short on many other aspects but if you wear glasses in the rain, give it a shot as a backup mask. I agree with other comments that this is so close to being perfect and with a bit more R&D it certainly will be, but for me it doesn`t quite work just yet. I guess that there will never be a one size fits all, and that is always going to be an issue, but for those of you with an average sized face then you will undoubtedly love this one. For me, the sides of the nose are simply the wrong shape to seal. The cheapie paper disposable masks (that we all hate) have a metal strip to seal around the top of the nose, and for those with glasses, this is a godsend because you can at least see through your misted up lenses for nearly 2 breaths out of 10. This mask in the rain however was just hopeless. It either needs a fuller shape to the sides of the nose, or some form of reinforcement in there to maintain a shape around the nose. Sorry for the “average” review guys, even though it didn`t work for me your product is far too awesome to be rated any less, but until you come up with a bigger size or a better fascial seal then I regret than I cannot give this the six stars that it could ultimately one day deserve.

The mask itself was rolled out without enough R&D - multiple sizes should have been produced and the valve caps should have been an anticipated item from the beginning. The shipments from China taking literally 3-4 extra months to arrive is indicative of rushed product and I fully anticipate having to fashion my own filters as those produced by the company are sub par for both fit and function

I owe this crew an apology! I made a mistake and was upset about it for a New York minute. When the fog cleared they rose to the occasion and took care of me.

I can't imagine what it is like running a small international biz in this world, but I'm sure it's daunting.

The mask is solid, breathing in it is excellent and I feel safe with it on. I had a small leakage issue that is being worked out and I look forward to using it as my main mask moving forward. I also like the fact that it can be easily disinfected and reused.

I am working on my Bane voice and hopefully it will get better, seems to go with the black mask.

Finally! a well designed solution to the throw away face coverings! I havent seen another mask out there that is as easy to clean/change the filters on. Gives me great confidence shopping during lockdowns, particualry as I have vulnerable family members back home.

Great service, great quality

The filters and frame are difficult to place properly without alot of touching of the filter. The filters seem to be smaller than the space provided and you can feel the air flowing around the edge of the filter and frame; especially when the valve cap is in.

The frame tends to come loose from the edge of the mask causing discomfort and pokes into your face. Possibly not designed for people with high cheek bones and wide faces?

The strap design is by far the most uncomfortable of any mask I have tried. They are difficult to adjust and the plastic piece used to hold them together is a pressure point. I have not found a way to place the strap without it digging into my head. After just a few minutes of wearing this mask it was painful around my ears.

Because of higher than expected air flow around the frame I do not feel safe using this mask as PPE, and even if I did the discomfort would not be worth enduring.

Lost the silicon disc that is part of the valve during a bike ride. Tried to contact the company via contact sheet, mail and even filled their feed back form a few weeks ago. now i am annoyed as i bought a mask and some extras hat i can´t use. never again.

Excellent Quality (reusable) Mask with better level of protection compared to most N95 masks.

Considering the difficulties Covid-19 has brought along with deliveries, I was surprised to receive constant updates on the status, even when there were no news, and eventually received my product(s) before I was even expecting it/them.

I backed the product on Kickstarter. The mask works as advertised and I find it more comfortable than traditional surgical or clothing masks because if you breath I does not “move” with your breath, being made of silicon. The only downside is that is not very “portable”.

The plastic piece that holds the filter in place keeps popping out of place and the seal is good on my left side of my nose
