This company is going under different names on trust pilot but still the same company. It’s not a real company. You order products and they don’t arrive or, other customers from trust pilot appear to have received products that are not safe or fit for purpose and no refund provided. Will be applying to my bank to retrieve money paid on credit card.

I wish you had more types of table lamps with two fixtures.

Chinese company pretending to have a UK base. Non existent customer service and very cheap bargain basement product deemed not fit for use by my electrician.

I ordered 3 lights they were shipped in 2 batches. They were both dispatched well after there estimated delivery time. First delivery was completely wrong I have been emailing them but just get a "I have passed this to out cs team". Second has never arrived dispute ordering over 2 weeks ago

I should have looked at Trustpilot before buying from this company. I have been trying to return a ceiling lamp for a month now and it is impossible.
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY, THEY ARE A CON.

Look at the reviews…the GB ones have really bad experiences. Is this some kind of franchise and the GB section is failing g miserably because it’s a con?

Ordered an floor lamp which was scratched and damaged. Couldn’t be assemble. They offered 30% refund for broken lamp. Then stopped communicating. I will do everything to get it sorted but not with them now. I’m going to take it further and I’m determined. I spent over £300. This is crazy how this kind off websites can even work. DONT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM AS THEY WILL NEVER GIVE YOU THE REFUND. AVOID!!!!!!!!

I was very happy with my purchase. Instead of ordering online, since I live close by I went to the warehouse to pick up my order and everything was ready and waiting for me.

Ordered 4 lights at nearly £300.00 what arrived was cheap and ugly. i request a refund as the products were not as advertised: Lightzey kept insisting on me sending photos of products even though i had only unpacked one of each: i provided this over a week ago and now company are not responding. company advertise easy hassle free returns which is a false as the poor quality of product and customer services. my next email is to trading standards to report this company. i will not give up.

I am having same issues regarding a refund . Plain rude , spent nearly £ 600 and only returning one item .
Do not reply to emails or telephones. Off to the ombudsman for me :

They will not honour any returns ir refund policy. 7 weeks after receiving the product that I posted back, there was no reply to any emails or phone calls until I posted a review. Then they came up with an excuse that they have not received a ‘certificate’ of proof of return and would not reply to confirm that they have actually received the product! Still no refund! A scam of company

Whilst normally I don’t write reviews for positive or negative experiences, I have to go out my way here to advise people to AVOID Lightzey LIKE THE PLAGUE!

This is a UK website fronting for a Chinese E-commerce site.

Delivery took over 4 weeks (as it was coming from China, not Stockport as indicated).

Unfortunately, while the item was fine - it didn’t suit our needs upon delivery. I requested a return for refund. The Lightzey only offered me a 30% refund - if I kept the item. Which I didn’t want to do!

On attempting to gain a return address, it took a number of unresponded emails - culminating in my threat to:
- raise a chargeback with my credit card
- contact the consumer ombudsman
- raise with trading standard
- leave a negative review on trust pilot

I finally received a returns address after the above process and about a week and a half of emailing to the Lightzey.

Sadly this was not the end of the matter. 6 days passed after my tracking showed successful delivery of the return. I repeatedly had emailed requesting confirmation of the return being delivered and requesting my refund. No answer.

A second email citing trading standards, consumer ombudsman etc was sent to the Lightzey demanding a full refund. Again, it took these extremes to get a refund and reply.

Thankfully, the full refund was processed within the next three days.

However, the amount of work required by myself to get both the returns address and refund processed was an utter joke.

I hope the above advice is of some use to those of you still awaiting a refund.

I encourage all potential buyers to AVOID BUYING FROM the Lightzey; and where you can - use a creditcard if you absolutely have no other option but to use the Lightzey.

Ordered an outside light which was not what I was expected. So contacted Lightzey and they asked me to return it which I did. They have not refunded the money to me and now I have to escalate this with my bank to get the money from PayPal as lightzey took far too long to respond. DONT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM AS THEY WILL NEVER GIVE YOU THE REFUND. AVOID. COWBOY COMPANY.

Terrible, do not use this company. I ordered a light and when our electrician fitted it, it didn"t work. I requested to return the light and get a refund. The Lightzey initially asked for a photo of the connections that the electrician was fitting the light into, I sent this but explained I still wanted a refund. They then emailed asking "Please ask your electrician to test the lamp without installation. Please refer to the attached video. Connect the wire, and then turn on the switch to check whether the lamp is on. Please send a video for us to check." I have replied to this email twice explaining that I'm not paying for our electrician to come back to and test a light that he has already established doesn't work. I have had no further correspondence. The website implied it was a UK based company however the delivery took ages and came from China. I have tried the customer service number but as other reviewers have mentioned this just goes through to a voicemail saying mailbox full. Do not buy from this company.

Over a week since I posted my review and still no answer or even acknowledgement from your customer care. Can I know when you are paying Klarna their money. You have the good returned back to you so how am I suppose to pay Klarna for what I don't have! Worse still is the attitude - issue raised on 20th and to-date NO RESPONSE

It's not an US company, it's just a facade. Items coming from Far East, probably China. All photos are Photoshoped, nothing to do with look of the items and most importantly, quality is the worst than anything you can get from a Pound shop. Even Pound shops sell better quality staff these days. So stay away

This company is corrupt and does not exist, we have tried to sent items back to an address which does not exist, expensive Chinese imports, DO NOT BUY FROM THIS WEBSITE/COMPANY

Again totally ripped off ordered a light fitting want to return and they keep offering me 10-20-30% to keep this was a expensive light fitting which I can not use and now they ignoring my emails

Such poor customer service these companies should stick by they
Word and offer returns instead of ripping people off
