⭐ Very disappointing experience
⭐ Very disappointing experience. Be extremely careful with additional charges.
After returning the rental car, I was unexpectedly charged an additional €255 more than two months later, without receiving any prior personal notification that this amount was going to be charged to my card and without being provided with sufficient evidence explaining and supporting the charge.
What is even more concerning is that I was apparently not provided with the original ASFINAG notice within the applicable payment period. If there was an amount that I was required to pay, I should have been given the opportunity to receive the original notice and settle the original amount within the deadline. Instead, I was only confronted with the matter after it had apparently escalated to a much higher amount.
I have requested from Klass Wagen the original notice, the original amount due, the original payment deadline, proof of when they received the notice, proof that they actually paid the €200 claimed by ASFINAG, and an explanation for the additional €55 administrative fee. I have not been provided with satisfactory evidence justifying the €255 charge.
As a foreign customer renting a car in Austria, I find this practice extremely disappointing. Customers should be clearly informed about additional toll obligations and, more importantly, should be given a genuine opportunity to resolve any alleged charge within the original payment period before being presented with a substantially higher bill.
I would not recommend this company based on my experience. I strongly advise anyone renting from Klass Wagen to carefully document everything and ask specifically about any possible additional tolls or charges before driving

We would like to clarify that, before any such charge is processed, a notification is sent by email to the address registered with the rental agreement, informing the customer about the related charge.
Regarding tolls and vignette-related matters, the renter remains responsible for any charges or violations incurred during the rental period. Notifications from the relevant authorities, including ASFINAG, may reach us after the rental has ended, and unfortunately, the timing of these notifications is outside our control.
The €55 administrative fee is applied in accordance with our Rental Terms and Conditions for the processing of such cases and is separate from the amount imposed by the relevant authority.
We fully understand the importance of transparency in such situations and regret that your experience left you with a negative impression.

The rental experience was very satisfactory. The vehicle was in very good condition, and both the pick-up and the return of the car were convenient and completely hassle-free.
The staff were also very helpful and attentive throughout the whole process. They treated my friends and me very well, and we felt well looked after at all times. I would especially like to mention Călin, who was very helpful and made the return of the vehicle very easy.
