I placed a $90+ order and, when it arrived, a Kiki cat messenger tote was not included. I immediately wrote the company and all they did was give me the run around. First, they wanted a photo of what did arrive…why? That does not prove anything. I complied and they told me the photo was blurry. I sent another one. They said they did not receive it. I resent the first photo and they acknowledged it. By this time, I had written or replied to over 20 texts from them. Elena ( the person who wrote me) said she had to talk to her supervisor who would look into it and give me an answer in
2-3 days. That was over ten days ago and still no answer.
This is a ripoff company. Do not purchase from them. You can buy these same items elsewhere (Amazon for one) cheaper and won’t get ripped off.

Don’t be fooled by the cute stationary and fun deals! I ordered four items with this company over a month ago and haven’t received anything.
I was tracking my order and about a week later, I saw that my package was “returned to sender” after never leaving China. I sent an email to customer service and they replied saying they will reship my package. Well, after tracking that order, I saw that it was delivered to Wisconsin, a whole different state! They first replied that it was already delivered, then said they would escalate it to their manager. I’ve continued to email them every few days, and now they just keep me on an endless cycle, repeating they have a large amount of inquiries and will get to me asap.
The customer service assistant I’ve been emailing, “Elena”, seems like a total bot, as someone else pointed out in a previous review. Now, I feel like I’ve totally been scammed. I wish I would’ve seen these reviews before purchasing. I don’t usually write reviews myself, but I hope it keeps someone else from wasting their money.

I spent over $100 on an order from them. The items literally never came. When I emailed customer service they made up a BS excuse of it being "stopped by customs" and that it would be sent to me soon. I could see on the tracking number that the package had been returned to sender, and stayed there. They never gave me a refund or acknowledged that they kept my products and my money. This site is a SCAM.

I ordered items from here before and had no issues, this time the customer experience was dreadful. The order arrived with a missing item and I've had no promise of it being sent despite numerous e-mails and a promise of a response from the senior manager. Very disappointed and won't be using them again

I saw through the international tracking link that there was an issue with delivery and I asked them immediately to tell me which local postal service they used so I could resolve it. "Elena" answered like a bot with no reading comprehension all the times I asked. The package was returned since I couldn't do anything about it - I didn't even know which postal service had it because the bot wouldn't tell me. And now they refuse to refund me. It's been two months. I have sent 3 documents proving that my address was correct and now they want an "official document" proving that it was returned, even though in the international tracking link THEY sent me, it says very clearly that it has been returned. Insanity. Zero accountability, useless customer service, they are thieves.

I was quite surprised at the very poor packing my items came in, almost as if they had been shipped by a person selling their own things than a supposedly professional business. My main gripe with it through is the instructions for the things ordered (little led flower light, calculator) are not in english so its a guessing game as to how to get them to work. I also bought a couple of everlasting pencils, which are only just about ok, its a full size pen, with a long thin eraser in the barrel and a small graphite nib. Just a bit odd. I do think these items are overpriced for what they are and will not be ordering again, and cannot recommend to others. Don't be seduced by the very pretty website!

This company is no good! They ship broken items and do not respond to emails and their phone number doesn't work. Save your money because you will be disappointed in the low quality items they ship out v-e-r-y s-l-o-w-l-y! Lesson learned, will never order from this shop ever again!!

I ordered 4 pastel colored eternal inkless pencils. There is a very short piece of pencil lead in them with a long eraser. It doesn't make sense why there isn't more lead. Also, they write so light you can hardly read it. I am extremely disappointed and will not order from Kawaii again.

I paid for express 3 day delivery but my package wasn’t even shipped for ten days and after that it’s been in transit for a week and it’s not leaving china. The customer service is horrible they don’t reply at all I tried to cancel the purchase because it wasn’t shipped after I sent the email it suddenly got shipped but in transit ever since. Don’t waste your time with this company they are a scam I only found out they are in china after it got shipped. Please don’t waste your time with these useless people.

I looked at the site but did not order anything however I was charged $22.98. I have contacted customer service and am waiting for a reply.

I have ordered from them a few times, never had any issues until recently when an item was missing and asked for a replacement or refund. I've been told that it has been escalated to a senior manager and get a response in 1-3 business days. I had this answer every time I emailed them that nothing happened, and finally when agreed to have a refund, no one seems to be looking into it. This has been going back and forth the last 2-3 month. Never been more disappointed!!! Never going to order again and be aware if you think about doing it!!!

Ordered well above the minimum amount to receive free gift package. On checkout, there was no place to apply the discount code to get it. Emailed immediately and 2 days later received an email stating it was too late for it to be added as my order had been processed. Automatic notification stating that order had been processed arrived a week later so something isn't adding up. Won't be purchasing from again after feeling like I was scammed.

I'm surprised to see negative reviews because I don't have enough good things to say. My items arrived fast and are so beautiful, I got SO many freebies by using a code, and I'm extremely happy with everything!

In November’25 I placed an order that was over $145 and was supposed to receive a 20 piece mystery box free. Well I received my order minus 2 of the more expensive items that I had paid for, and then to top off the disappointment the 20 item box was missing 3 items!. When I contacted the store on the 29/11/25 to tell them I was missing at least 5 items, I was told that it was a matter of what was available in stock at the time. That I could probably understand IF they weren’t continuing to advertise the 20 pieces free! When I pointed this out I was told they would have to consult their supervisor. There was no mention of the fact that I had purchased items which they had failed to deliver. I then waited a month to hear back, nothing. I contacted them again at the end of December and was told they were extremely busy and they would get to my request for a replacement for the missing items. It is now the 02/02/2026 and still NOTHING! This is the WORST customer service I’ve ever experienced. Don’t trust Kawaii Pen Store! Otherwise you might as well just stick your wallet in a post pack and send it to them so they can just help themselves…..

So sad. For perhaps 50p more spent on decent lining fabric and 50p working out a better production process , my Totoro shoulder bag would have been perfect. Plenty of pockets. Great colour and size. But the lining is almost plastic and is incompletely sewn. I like a challenge and kniw that I won't get any customer care so I've reinforced the entire base internal seam with glued tape. If you buy this bag but be prepared to finish it off yourself! 3 star review given so it will be posted

SCAM do not order - did not receive all items ordered and unable to secure a refund although I reached out to customer service via email. I had to submit a "clear photo" of the items I did receive, but they won't refund the item that did not ship out. They charge in full before your order is even processed, so you are charged for all items even if they don't all ship.

Unfortunately, the cute calculator I purchased as a treat for myself didn't work when I put the battery in, and after sending video proof to the company and asking for a replacement they just ghosted me and stopped replying. Very disappointing as they are flooding my socials with ads still for the same product.

I don't know if anyone else has come across this, but what alerted me to scammy behaviour was that I was adding items to my cart and it kept saying $x until free shipping, so I added a couple of more items thinking I may as well get these extra things for the same amount as the shipping would have been. Then once I reached the required amount, it still said I was eligible for free shipping for my country (including in the small print), but added on a mandatory $25 shipping fee. This fee was added into my cart before I was even allowed to select shipping, plus further down the cart it was the only shipping option provided. I'm so glad I refused to pay that amount of shipping, because it prompted me to check reviews and find out that the items they sell are actually low quality. I was fooled by their name into thinking they were a Japanese company and the prices also fooled me that they were quality items. Very happy to remove the items from my cart and never shop here! UPDATE: I emailed them to ask about the shipping fee and they answered that they had changed the free shipping rules for 'some countries' (even though the small print still stated my country was included) - I imagine they say this to anyone who questions it.

Placed an order, got an email that the 2 x items were out of stock and was offered a store credit. I asked for a refund as the items could not be provided - have been ghosted, it's now been over 1 month, no refund and no resolution. Absolutely appalled.
