SCAM
The credit card company they work with won’t release my funds and their customer service is non existent. Honeyfund is claiming innocent. Im literally asking for my money I was gifted for my wedding. I’m shocked that this company is allowed to operate. A complete scam. Use any other service other than this. Like throwing money down the drain.
Countless times I’ve reached out to customer service and they’ve steered me away , only to come back and find all the info they gave was useless.

If redeeming via PayPal or Venmo, a 2.2% fee applies to each redemption. For couples who prefer direct cash deposits, we also offer the “My Bank Account” option. Gifts through this method are processed securely by Stripe for a small fee, and Honeyfund does not add any additional fees. We’re grateful for your feedback and for choosing Honeyfund!
Anonymous Comments a Problem
The site is easy to use and convenient. However I am having an issue with people leaving anonymous negative comments on our honeyfund registry. We asked honeyfund to intervene and or reveal the emails the comments are coming from and they declined to assist. I feel its unfair and invasive that people other than invited guests can troll others registries anonymously without repercussion or exposure. This has now happened twice.

2.2% fee to get your money. Their marketing is incredibly misleading as it says “no fee” over and over again. That’s categorically false. It’s not free. Pretty upset and will tell all my friends not to use this scam.

Great experience! We weren’t in need of household gifts so Honeyfund was perfect for us. Honeyfund was easy to use & navigate. We loved how our website turned out. We added the QR code to our invitations, created/ framed Honeyfund 5x7 cards, and added it to our gift table at our wedding.
Our Honeyfund was a huge hit! We did not expect the outcome of funds that we received. We were able to transfer the funds to a Honeyfund virtual Mastercard that you can use for tap to pay, have access to the card information to buy online, and was able to use every penny without NO fees. Because of Honeyfund, we had an amazing honeymoon!

Possible scam and poor support
At this moment honeyfund has lost or stolen $5200 from me and my wife. At first, they seemed like a helpful trustworthy company and for 2 withdrawals they were as long as you pay the 2.2% fee. But when we requested the 3rd and biggest transfer they claim to have sent it to venmo and provided what we believe to be a fake transaction ID. When speaking with support who are very slow we were just being told to wait while they process a fix, but after a month of waiting they have since changed their terms of service to not include venmo anymore and my wife's emails and phone calls are failing to deliver. DO NOT trust honeyfund it has come to the point we are seeking legal action next week to get our money from them.

Easy, Convenient, but FEES$$
I liked the ease of set up and convenience. I didn't like the amount of fees associated to put the money into Paypal and then more fees to pull the money out of that account. There was an option that didn't have fees, but that had its own issues.

Very disappointed; extra fees
When we signed up for honeyfund, there were no fees to transfer to Venmo. We had to lose 2% of our fund to cover transfer to Venmo. We were very disappointed and have been recommending to other engaged friends to not use honeyfund as their cash registry.

It keeps saying that a code is being texted to us, but we don’t get a code.
So, we can’t get into Honeyfund to get OUR money.
Why won’t they send the access code?????

Many of our guests did not want to use…
Many of our guests did not want to use the app once they found out they would have to pay 10% based on their gift. So if they were giving $500 that is an extra $50. Those fees are so high. Also had issues logging into the debit card system. I know that this is not your fault but you should off other free options that would work better. I was worried the day before I left for our Honeymoon if I would be able to access our money. It took an extra day but finally was able to access their website to download the digital card.

Deceptive Advertising
I used Hineyfund for my wedding because of their ads of “No Fees” yet when I went to access the funds I’d received, I did indeed have to pay about 3% Fee to actually receive the funds as cash. The only free options were gift cards or a prepaid card, which doesn’t work that well for booking a honeymoon.
