Abigail Padilla Claims Associate at Claims Tech II interrupted claims payment with demand to complete direct to pay form after Adjuster agd agreed to pay shop directly as we have for the last 6 years.
GuideOne has paid repair shops directly for our account since 2020.

Per our original adjuster for Claim AA 207804 since your Dept. has now inherited managing this claim solely due to a snap sheet appraisal, please note that in our 6 years of auto claim settlements with GuideOne we have submitted next to zero Direct to Pay forms vs GuideOne paying repair shops directly on every claim.
Ms. Padilla’s attempt to compel our Accounting Dept to waste their valuable time booking, depositing, and coding as income your proposed check only to turn around and have to voucher, code as expense, write and then mail a check for the exact same amount is the anthesis of your company’s lauded customer service reputation.

GuideOne was very communicative and prompt with my claim. My primary contact checked in regularly and kept me up to date on the claim's progress. It was a large commercial property claim that necessitated an on-site inspection. Even so, the entire process, from report to claim approval to payment, was completed within a few months.

The adjuster sent to inspect the roof of our church stated that there estimated cost to repair the roof would be less than $550.00. We ask two other professional roofers to inspect the roof and the estimated price ranges from $3,000.00 to $5,000.00; This is a vast difference from the price Justin Ooper quoted. Please, explain the difference.

Following an inspection of the property, limited wind-related damage was identified to a portion of the shingled roof. The estimate of $527.02 reflected the covered damage observed during that inspection. Because the covered damages fell below the applicable policy deductible, no payment was owed under the policy.
The investigation also determined that the interior water intrusion originated in the area where the flat roof transitions to the sloped shingle roof. No storm-related damage was identified to the flat roof covering. Based on the inspection findings, wind-driven rain was entering beneath the shingles at the roof transition area, resulting in the interior water damage. Because the interior damage was not determined to be the result of a covered cause of loss, that portion of the claim was not covered under the policy.
A partial denial letter outlining these findings was sent, and the claim representative discussed the coverage determination with you on July 22, 2026.
We understand that contractor estimates may differ based on the scope of repairs being proposed. If there is additional information or documentation that has not been reviewed, we encourage you to contact our Claims team so we can address any remaining questions. Ice brought down our copper gutters…
Ice brought down our copper gutters 2-3-2026. Notified local agent that evening. New gutters installed in June of 2026. Initial settlement for the entire replacement was about equal to the contractor's cost of gutters alone. Ins. Co. was $20 per foot under on gutter cost and only used $11/hr. labor. Took many weeks to get a fair settlement.

Following the loss, coverage was extended for the damage caused by the weight of ice and snow, and an inspection was completed to evaluate the repairs needed. As additional information and contractor estimates were received, the claim team worked with the contractor and independent adjuster to review the scope of damage, reconcile pricing differences, and evaluate supplemental requests.
We recognize that this review process took longer than you expected. Our records reflect ongoing communication throughout the claim, including status updates, estimate discussions, and follow-up regarding repairs and supplemental payments. After completing the additional review, supplemental payments were issued, including consideration of documented increases in copper material costs.
