Ours was a complicated claim, but Guide One did an excellent job walking us through the process. The company did a very extensive review of damage and were prompt on getting us an intitial check. We did have a couple items where our bids came in much higher than insurance estimated. We ended up switching to a different staff person because it was such a complicated claim. Guide One even helped us find a new company to replace the copper spire on the church, because all our bids were so high. We are still in process with the spire replacement, but the service was wonderful concerning the other repairs.

The most difficult insurance I've ever worked with
Our initial adjuster was difficult to work with and unresponsive. I ended up having to copy his supervisor on all communications, but that did not seem to help. Our initial claim was filed in Oct/Nov 2025, and we did not get a new adjuster until August 2026. For 10 months, we struggled to get any response, and when we did, it was often just asking for the same information that had already been supplied. GuideOne hired 5 different consultants to confirm scope. This was excessive and made the project drag on longer than needed. From our end, it seemed like the adjuster was just trying to find someone to give a different answer, but each consultant came in with a very close estimate across the board. This process has been time-consuming for everyone involved. I'm giving 2 stars because our second adjuster was responsive and prompt with information and paperwork, otherwise, I would be giving a 1-star review.
