I needed to get car insurance on my car today. I made a call and was immediately put through to Jezeath Cabiles. She was able to get me insurance within 15 minutes from beginning to end. She was very professional and very knowledgeable. Made it a pain free experience.

not good. they turn off the visits & you have to contact them manually to turn it back on. why do you do this ? people use insurance for a reason & then a company like this thats so corrupt decides to do manual approvals for insurance claims, thats so damn inconvenient. i wouldn't recommend going through them at all.

Very bad treatment from the whole team. Refusal is thier slogan, they treat ppl sooo badly just shouting and refuse, call center are very tough although the approval department, not recommended at all

I am with GiG/AXA since 8 years and this year I have renewed my car insurance easily online for a very good price. GIG is very customer centric and focuses on simplicity and reliability. Year on year they continue to convince me to stay with them.
Also the additional services like the airport pick up or RTA passing are also very convenient and I use them every year: it makes me save 400 aed more.

I have purchased Full comprehensive insurance for My GMC Yukon Denali 2021 model that covers GCC countries. after 3 years I had an accident, and my car was damaged at my fault. I was in Riyadh in KSA, They told me first to bring the Car to Dubai so we can fix it. I mentioned that I am in Riyadh. Jaafar from customer support mentioned to fix your car and we pay you back. the total cost for my car was 10300 SAR and they have refunded 2200 AED, and mentioned we pay you this because we didn't see the car. I have sent them all the invoices and photos and they did not agree. basically total disaster. It would be cheaper for me to ship the car to Dubai and get it fix there, but they did not recommend this so I lost over 6000 AED.

My car lost 10% of its value this year, yet GIG Insurance increased my premium by 1.7%. I asked for an explanation but never received a proper answer.
What’s worse, there’s a huge gap between the reviews here on Trustpilot and the perfect ratings they show on their website. Instead of improving service quality, it seems GIG prefers to filter reviews or create fake feedback.
This is not the behavior of a professional company. Future customers should be very cautious before trusting GIG with their insurance

Worst insurance experience I’ve ever had – completely useless when you actually need them
I had a minor accident (someone scratched my car while it was parked), and even though I had a green police report clearly proving I was not at fault, GIG Insurance still managed to turn a simple claim into an exhausting, frustrating ordeal.
Here’s what I went through:
I waited over 2 weeks, made more than 10 follow-ups, and got no proper response or support.
I was denied the hire car benefit, even though it was included in the policy, just because I requested a cash settlement instead of using their shady workshops.
They forced me to visit one of their so-called “authorized” workshops (PAL Auto), where the staff were sleeping, ignored me, and offered no help. I even picked up a screw in my tire while parked there — and no one took responsibility.
After all of this, GIG offered me AED 400 as a cash settlement — an insulting amount that doesn’t even cover basic paintwork for a premium vehicle like a Mercedes. No explanation, no breakdown, just a "take it or leave it" attitude.
In short, GIG’s promises on paper mean absolutely nothing when you try to file a real claim. You’re left on your own, wasting time, money, and patience.
Do yourself a favor — don’t insure your vehicle with GIG. When it matters, they won’t protect you.

Worst health insurance provider in the UAE. Every single health pre-approval request is denied. They reject the most basic tests.
This is not a trusted partner when you really need them. If you can afford to go with a more reputable option then do so.
I cannot understand how some companies provide such garbage health insurance to their employees..

Their entire “medical board” are a bunch of clowns sitting behind a cubicle with zero medical knowledge.

An ineffective insurance . They will deny almost any claim you put and they have provided zero justifications for denial. Considering their exorbitant premiums, if claims over major procedures are not covered - what is the point ?

Absolutely the worst insurance company !
1st took them over 6h to upload the insurance on RTA
2nd after calling them couple of times and they finally managed to to do it , they uploaded under wrong name
3rd was calling them over 10 times , no one answered the call .
Absolutely unbelievable never had such a negative experience before!
Hope at least they will refund the money payed as I was forced to pay to another insurance company to do the job

if you are about to buy medical plans from GIG, please do not go for them regardless the category as they are worst experience for myself when i opted for gold plan..
initially all fancy words but many detailed services which are required not being covered and very disappointing

I have to say that this is the worst insurance I have had since being in UAE.
One good thing is that the response times for me have been good and the communication had been okay. However there is a lot of things that are just terrible.
Many hospitals not covered, in fact it took my doctor 4 different attempts to find an approved hospital before they accepted them.
Also my own doctors clinic banned them due to a payment issue. That lead to a delay of two months in my ongoing treatment
Also a lot of things my doctor recommended for treatment were not covered and have paid out over 1000 USD to cover these .
I would avoid using them if you want to look after your health

For me the comprehensive car insurance worked perfectly when I had accident in Dubai. No fuzz no questions, just gave me a good garage where the technicians perfectly repaired the body damage.

Motor claim team is really worst. They made your life miserable if you are stuck in any problem. They Will not respond to emails, not call you back. Every time they give call to another POC to make you more tortured. No clear guidance. If their is less rating than 1 i would have given than. Please never choose GIG as motor insurance they are really really pathetic and team is super annoying who never support

Worst Insurance in the UAE, they have rejected the claims from our new born child that was covered under their policy. We are extremely disappointed with this insurance. I don't recommend anyone going with this insurance, they will take any opportunity to reject your claim. Not reliable at all.

Very bad experience. When I requested a callback from a Manager Samanda, the representative claimed they had called me multiple times, but I only received one call. Instead of waiting for the call, I asked the executive to provide me with the supervisor’s contact information, and she refused. I do not recommend this company at all

I've been a loyal GIG Insurance customer for nearly 10 years, trusting them with my insurance needs. However, the one time I genuinely needed their support for a surgery, my claim was rejected and they refuse to provide the help I expected.
It feels like GIG is only interested in collecting premiums, but when it comes to fulfilling their commitments, they fall short. I strongly advise others to reconsider before choosing GIG. Learn from my experience—don't make the same mistake

after 2 years of suffering with this insurance finally my policy will run out in 2 weeks and i will be free. it feels like they are constantly working against you. i did not claimed anything over the year and when i did it was rejected like 20 times. my doctor had to rewrite the report 5 times. today i called 11 times. the pharmacy is telling me that they keep declining.
