A big let down.
I recently purchased some PAR timber and later discovered that several pieces were bowed along their lengths and had splitting, which made them unsuitable for use. I had to wait several days for this timber and there wasn't a lot at all. I've lost time and money.
I don’t understand how timber in that condition could have been approved for supply. I emailed a couple of days ago about this issue but haven’t received a respons, yet when I email requesting a quote for larger projects, I get a reply the same day.
I also recently placed a large order and found that various cuts were incorrect and caused a lot of problems for me, some of the MDF was also damaged. These problems have cost me both time and money, and they’ve made me lose confidence in Fulham Timber’s ability to supply and pre-cut material accurately. I don’t think I can trust them with a large order again. I gave a cut list document with everything clearly labelled and laid out and whoever cut my material still messed up.
I understand that mistakes can happen, but if I only receive attention when making a purchase, and not when raising an issue, I’ll have to start looking elsewhere for a reliable timber merchant, as poor customer service is too risky for my business at times things go wrong with an order I've received.

Efficient service
Dealt with the Brixton branch for the first time. Sorry not to hear my friends from Croydon but the Brixton service was just as efficient.
Was a little surprised to take delivery at 7 a.m. - but then I had asked for it to be early! The driver (Milton) was helpful and courteous, and was very careful when backing down a narrow drive in the dark and rain.
We’ll be back!!
We purchased 15 meters of hardwood sill…
We purchased 15 meters of hardwood sill online on November 3rd, with delivery scheduled for November 11th. Unfortunately, we forgot to follow up and later contacted FT to check on our order, only to find out it had never been sent. Eventually, we received it on December 11th. However, the delivery experience was disappointing, as the driver was rushed and spoke to us in a disrespectful manner, seemingly due to being late for another appointment. This was not a pleasant experience.

Visited the Brixton branch today and these guys were awesome. Extremely helpful and pleasant. The product (some architrave) is beautiful, their quality control is excellent.
10 orders in a row delivered on the right day!
If you shop around then sometimes you get better prices elsewhere - but not always.
Either way - another delivery yesterday. That’s at least 10 in a row they’ve delivered on the right day!
And yesterday was supposed to be rainy – so it looks like they wrapped my panels to keep them dry. At least I think that was the intention. Nice work!
Keep it up (a lot of other companies could learn from this).
Don’t waste your time and go somewhere else
I had a really bad experience. Stock levels not accurate, staff attitude is poor and customer service is 0. Would not recommend. I wasted my time and van rental due to staff not knowing their stock level. Before posting this review I gave customer service an opportunity to resolve but they chose not to.
Fulham timber providing a great service!
The team at Fulham timber have been amazingly helpful with our company and the customer service has been better than any other timber company I’ve used. Aggie and Marcin from the Balham branch are always extremely efficient in making sure we have materials delivered and make sure they go out of their way for us to get deliveries on the day too! I highly recommend and continue to use them.
Non-existent customer service
Non-existent customer service, only a stupid automated voice that responds every 18 seconds with call ending after 3 minutes with a false claim they are busy and they will call you back after you leave a voicemail which never happens. God forbid you have any issues that needs customer service.

I spoke with Aggie at Fulham Timber to locate a high quality timber decking at an affordable price she gave me a great deal and the timber is on rout for Friday deliver, fast efficient and friendly service and i save some money maybe £500 cheaper than TP.

Promised a Service they couldn't offer. Incredibly rude.
I needed a hardwood board cut. I called in advance to check whether they could do it. I was told the Brixton Branch of Fulham Timber could, but the guy who does the cutting would be going on holiday for a week on Monday, so I needed to come in as quickly as possible (within the day). I got there within the hour. When I walked in the shop, I spoke to a rep and told her that I was here to get the board cut. I was immediately told it wouldn't be possible because the guy had gone on holiday. I told her about the call - her colleague then flatly and rudely repeated that the guy was on holiday. That was it. There was no apology for dragging me across London (I had to get a cab to get there in time) or for wasting my time in the middle of a working day. In fact, of the five employees in the shop, not one even bothered to make eye contact.
I think anyone who had bothered to call and check in advance that a service would be available would be insulted to have their time wasted like this. I do not recommend Fulham Timber.

Bad Quality Worse Service
I ordered sapele hardwood from Fulham Timber. It came with no protection, scratched and chipped. It is a hardwood, but it's already badly twisted. I requested a replacement, I got the confirmation for this request, but since then they ignore my emails. Don't waste time with this company.

Good service from Brixton Branch
I used Fulham Timber during the pandemic and had a good service so ordered again recently because I wanted the same decking. This time I required one of the boards to be cut lengthways, this seemed to be a bit of a problem for the Colliers Wood branch who directed me to Croydon. The member of staff at Croydon was unhelpful and we never quite got to the bottom of my requirement, possibly because of the language barrier, anyway he directed me back to the Colliers Wood. I didn’t bother and just called the Brixton branch and spoke to the manager Paul who swiftly took my order over the phone including the cutting requirement and arranged delivery. The boards were delivered swiftly by a very pleasant driver. Thanks Paul
