Poor afterservice
Asked for correct connector size for pump and bought based on info given. When it arrived it didnt fit. Contacted for help but they didnt offer to send correct size, despite only being a few £, didnt offer to swap for original one, and told me id have to buy another one but have to spend a minumum £20 to place an order. Really poor

Failed delivery, no updates, and no flexibility
I made an order before 4 pm on Friday and paid for next day delivery. I was expecting it on Saturday. On Monday I contacted them via the online messaging system and I was told next day delivery meant Monday. I phoned twice and was told that someone would get back to me with a tracking number to find out what had happened with my delivery. No one got back to me, and it is now 6 pm Monday with no delivery having ordered around 2:30 pm on Friday. Having read responses to other reviews, the roads in my area are completely clear and dry with no issues of access to any address in my village or street.
Update:
the package (pump, hose and clip) was delivered on Wednesday. The company points out that although they pay for next day delivery they have no control over the courier company. In my case, the "next day" delivery was the middle of the following week. I can only say that if you have an active flood incident, then it may well be too late to address the issue. I've updated the rating to 2 stars instead of 1 because it did arrive in the end.
Update 2:
The product itself seems to work. However the lack of a non-return valve means the water in the 30 metre hose just keeps running back as soon as the automatic pump action stops, then it pumps that same water again, in an endless loop that will never stop as water in a pipe will not evaporate. Other companies include the NRV as standard. About £3 on the website.
Update 3:
The rating goes back down to 1. The company said that they would not supply the £2 NRV and £1 tail because the minimum order value is £20. They said I should visit a hardware shop. I bailed the water out with a cup and bucket. They also declined to refund me the next day delivery charge of £12 despite the order taking 5 days to be delivered.

Concerning the contents of your order, our website meticulously outlines the items included in each package under the 'What’s in the Box' section. If the Non-Return Valve (NRV) was not listed, it would not be part of the package. This specification is intended to cater to diverse requirements of different usage scenarios. For instance, if you were pumping across land, from a deeper area, or with a shorter pipe, no NRV would be needed.

Hose tail not fit for purpose - APP BPS Submersible…
I recently bought an APP BPS Submersible Puddle Pumpf from floodandwaterpumps. The supplied hose tail is not a standard fit. Despite being sold as 19mm/ 3/4 inch the male end does not fit a standard 19mm. 3/4 inch female hose fitting. Customer care seem to be unaware this was a problem and suggested pushing the bare hose directly on to the hose tail. I ended up buying a standard 19mm male fitting and it worked, Could this not have been supplied? Cost £1.50.

Please allow us to clarify: as per the website, our pump is specifically designed to be used with a 19mm hose tail (as supplied with the pump), and this detail is clearly indicated in our product description.
This setup ensures optimal performance when used with a 19mm hose, secured appropriately with a hose clip.

I purchased multiple pumps from these…
I purchased multiple pumps from these guys which have nearly all failed, some have water leaking internally into the motor causing the electrics to trip out and some didnt cut off meaning the pump ran to hot and melted the internals. The pressure switches seem to be a weakness in these pumps and despite being advertised as suitable for water bowsers they are far from it!! When i asked to for some help with them as they were failing at an alarming rate all with different issues i was asked to fill out a warranty form for all the pumps. The reply was then that they had failed due to user error and would not be covered under warranty, this was without even seeing the pumps! They then said to send the pumps to them so they could inspect them but i refused to waste more money sending them just to hear that they won't cover them.
When I spoke to them on the phone i was told lots of these were being returned as faulty but then on email i was told that they never have any issues with these pumps.
In short they will take your money just fine but blame you for any type of failure and refuse warranty claims without even seeing the pumps.

Held to Ransom
I bought an automatic puddle pump from Flood & Water Pumps. In the literature it made it very clear the pump should not be allowed to run dry however no cut out timings were supplied. I contacted the company by phone and informed them the pump was not automatically cutting out (once it had run dry) for at least 30 seconds so I had been turning it off to avoid damage. I was asked to return the pump so they could check it.
After I had returned the pump I was sent an email saying I should leave it to run for at least 2 minutes, for the automatic cut out to happen, however too late I had already returned the pump - on their request.
Long story short the cut out timings were approx 3 minutes and the pump wasn't faulty. However despite them asking me to send the pump back they then demanded I pay twice what it had cost me to return it or else they would dispose of the pump. Effectively I was held to ransom.
Not a good experience. I was as diligent as I could have been (calling and explaining exactly how I was using the pump) and yet the company took no share of responsibility for their lack of product knowledge and for the costs of the actions they asked me to perform.
The pump has since totally failed however I am loathed to contact Flood and Water Pumps and will go elsewhere for a replacement.
In terms of profit and loss I guess they won however my advice would be to go elsewhere if you are in the market for a pump.

However, to prevent the pump from running dry, the off level should not be set lower than 3-5mm." This design is intentional to optimize performance and longevity.
During our troubleshooting discussions, we explored this functionality in detail. Recognising your concerns, we even proposed inspecting the pump to ensure its efficacy. However, upon review, it was evident that the issue was not a result of any defect or warranty-covered problem but rather a matter of incorrect setting adjustments on your part. As our terms clearly state, we cannot absorb shipping costs for non-warranty issues, especially when the product is functioning as designed.
We provided as much guidance on setting the sensors according to your specific site requirements and usage, as we could, without having been instructed to conduct a site survey. It's crucial for the sensors to be adjusted correctly to prevent the pump from running dry, yet allowing it to operate efficiently when water levels fall below the sensor. Site assessment and installation are not included in the basic purchase price. While we offer these services at an additional cost, they were not utilised in your case.
We understand that dealing with water management equipment can be challenging, and our aim is never to have customers face difficulties with their purchases. Our company was founded on the principle of offering high-quality products and services to mitigate flood risks, a mission born from the personal experiences of our founder. Your satisfaction and safety are of utmost importance to us, and we extend our support and empathy to all our customers.
However, we must also ensure that reviews reflect the reality of our product's capabilities and our support efforts.
