I went on a Italy tour May 2025 my tour guide was Carlos Bozzolan. I was drugged by the travelers and had a near death experience, I had to get myself to the ambulance the tour guide took an hour trying to figure out what to do. Before the drugging, I was verbally attacked by him and some of the travelers. I had items stolen like my makeup and expensive glasses. I begged the company to look into it and investigate but time and time again they refused to acknowledge what happened and investigate. I paid $250 for insurance and all I got back total is $600. My ten day trip was cut to 4 days with half being sick and dying. This experience was extremely traumatic and messed with my quality of life for over a year. I didn’t even get an apology until I begged for a formal apology through email. The company said I didn’t get drugged that it was due to “mental health”. This is a terrible company and I hope everyone stays away. Especially women of color. Because I believe this was a hate crime for the most part. Im posting this now as it was so traumatic I didn’t have it in me to take all the steps needed.

I went on the Portugal Getaway Plus trip this May and it was my first trip with EF. I went with a high school friend and had a fantastic experience. Our tour director was Sofia Silva and she was absolutely the best person ever for this job (plus she's just a great person)! She was caring, attentive to group member needs, knowledgeable, and fun to be around! She seemed to coordinate all ground transportation and flights flawlessly and always communicated with us promptly about daily schedules and what to expect on excursions. She truly felt like a member of the group and the memories from this trip are some of the best of my life! There were about 25 members in my group and everyone was so kind and we all got along and made new friends! I highly recommend booking with EF and traveling with Sofia when you can! I have already booked my next trip with EF for this fall. It's clear EF cares about traveller experience and safety and their hired tour directors really seem to love their jobs!

DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY THEY WILL TAKE HUGE AMOUNTS OF YOUR MONEY!!! I can’t tell you how disappointed and frustrated I am with this company. They have taken $800 from me due to cancellation 100 days from my departure which was never discussed with me when I called and cancelled my trip. They make no sense and have all these hidden rules in their terms and conditions that allow them to take huge chunks of money from you. If anything comes up this company will take your money and refuse to give you credit or be in any way understanding. My friend had to cancel her trip as well and only was charged $100 while they have taken $800 because I signed up for automatic payments and she didn’t. THIS COMPANY IS CORRUPT AND WILL LEAVE YOU WITH NOTHING

My trip to Bangkok, Thailand during Songkran Festival was nothing short of unforgettable. From start to finish, every moment felt perfectly curated and full of life, culture, and excitement. The itinerary struck the perfect balance between exploration and fun. Visiting the stunning temples gave me a deep appreciation for Thailand’s rich history and spiritual beauty, each one more breathtaking than the last. One of the standout experiences was the dinner cruise, where I got to enjoy incredible food while taking in the sparkling views of Bangkok at night. It was peaceful, elegant, and truly memorable. Exploring Iconsiam was another highlight, such a vibrant and modern space filled with amazing shopping, food, and views of the river. It offered a completely different energy that complemented the traditional aspects of the trip so well. Of course, celebrating Songkran in the streets of Bangkok was the ultimate experience. The energy was unmatched, everyone coming together for a massive, joyful water fight filled with laughter, music, and pure fun. It is something you have to experience at least once in your life. A huge part of what made this trip so special was our tour director, Adisorn. He was absolutely outstanding, patient, kind, incredibly helpful, and always going above and beyond to make sure we felt safe, comfortable, and fully immersed in everything Thailand has to offer. His recommendations were spot on, and his dedication truly elevated the entire experience. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone, whether you are traveling solo, with a partner, or in a group. It is an experience that is 100 percent worth it and one that I will be talking about for years to come.

First off I want to start of by saying my TD Despi or Despoina was an Angel sent from above. She was incredibly organized and always made sure we stayed informed with daily reminders and updates, which made the entire experience feel smooth, stress-free, and easy to follow. Our sightseeing guides were absolutely wonderful and made every excursion so enjoyable and memorable. Their knowledge of the history, culture, and local landmarks was incredibly impressive, and they had a way of explaining everything that kept the group engaged and interested the entire time. We went to a local Olive and Bee farm and the way I was so moved listening to them talk about the bees. I was ready to move there and help out. This was my 8th trip and I felt so at peace and relaxed in every city we were at. I could not recommend this trip enough. 9th grade me would cry if she knew one day I would see the beauty that is Greece

I’ve taken 3 trips with this company and I’m so happy I did! All of them were worth it! Very reliable and all the tour guides I’ve had were amazing! I just hope the prices don’t raise up because I looove this company!

EF Ultimate Break has been such a wonderful experience! I will be going on my 7th trip with them soon and I have always had the best vacations thanks to them! They make everything so easy and I wouldn't want to travel any other way. You pay a reasonable price for them to take care of everything and you just show up and have the time of your life! The one time i had a slight issue on vacation (NOT EF's faults) EF's support group reached out INSTANTLY. Sara in particular was who reached out to me and was soooo professional and kind and made sure I felt heard. I could not recommend this travel company enough. They have helped me experience the world and have provided the greatest tour directors and greatest customer service. Thank you EF!! Can't wait for the next adventure!!

They changed trip itinerary and removed over half the tours and replaced with free days..no refund...they put you up in bed bug ridden hotels..no refund...they dictate what you eat. They are RUDE AF. They have made it overly apparent that all they want is.your money and could careless.about.your expierence. I will NEVER use this place again. Total SCAM

A Greek odyssey.
My overall review for this trip is that it’s Ana amazing trip to see many historic places a lot of people don’t get to see when traveling to Greece, and if you’re a history nerd it’s awesome to dive more into the history with the tour guides. However this is not your typical relaxing, tropical Greek vacation. You are fairly active and walking around, there is a bit of time spent on buses to travel to and from cities.

If I could change anything about this trip it’s that it should be longer to add a few days of R&R at some local seaside towns like Nafplio and Itea, or even an extra night in Athens. You’re never quite in one place long enough to fully enjoy it before moving to the next location. It was still a wonderful trip and I had an absolute blast and our tour director was incredible, but that would be the one thing I would change to make this trip even better.

Came here in a vacation with my friend to celebrate our birthday. While on vacation, I was assaulted by another person in the group. EF refused to remove them during the trip causing safety issues. EF is a very for profit company and after speaking with someone in HQ they offered me a voucher. I got assaulted during a EF group trip due to poor vetting. I don’t want a discount because I don’t plan on coming back.

First time ever traveling with EF and to Europe!! I had full faith in them to plan everything out for me and they succeeded! I had the time of my life, I didn’t know anyone and went alone but I left Europe with amazing friends! I even have my next one planned with a friend I met! 10/10 would do again!

I went on a trip and had purchased their insurance plan to ensure I was covered in case of any emergency. I ended up having a medical emergency and was hospitalized in Sicily and missed part of the trip, including an excursion that I paid extra for. I filed a claim exactly how EF told me to do. I was barely reimbursed for my medical expenses. They said they would reimburse me for my missed time, missed excursion as well as over $100 taxi rides I had to take from the hospital and they never reimbursed me, instead, they closed my case and completely ghosted me. I have been following up for months and have not received reimbursement. I am extremely disappointed in how they handled this situation, it has been showing a lack of care for their customers.

I have done 3 trips! And I got a few more planes out! I love the communication,communication is super important for me. Every time I’m on a trip I always have an amazing time, would like more Central America or Asia countries added but over all the team is very helpful , the trip leader are helpful and friendly. Never had an issue with the staff and trip leader.

I loved traveling with EF! They handled every detail and planned an amazing, adventure packed trip for me where all I had to worry about was what to wear! I chose a plus itinerary and had EF book my flights, and the flights were great, with layovers that had plenty of time to make my next flight without leaving me in the airport endlessly. The hotels were mostly amazing, only one that was a bit too far from everything. And even that wasn’t exactly a bad hotel. The activities were fun and helped us explore more of the local culture, while providing great photo opportunities. Any issues on the trip were immediately handled by our wonderful tour director, who made the whole trip a breeze! It was a great mix of planned tours and activities to help us get the most of our experience with plenty of free time to do whatever we wanted to.

Fun-packed schedules and good hostels. Not luxury, but perfect for budget travelers.

I paid the cost of my trip ages ago, but now it says there is $220 few past due. Nothing says what it is for. I tried contacting them and they said it's just the cost of the trip. Awfully messed up of them to add fees and not tell me.

I just completed the 35 day Ultimate Europe trip with my best friend and while it was amazing to see so many new places, I would not recommend this tour for young women traveling solo. The behavior of the tour director, who was a man in his 40s, was very inappropriate and made many of the young women we traveled with uncomfortable. He shared sexually explicit content with several of the women on the trip and made racially derogatory remarks. Had I not come on the trip with a travel companion I would not have been comfortable completing it by myself. I am uncertain of the process that EF utilizes to vet tour directors but he is not someone that should have been permitted to travel around the world with young women.

July 8th Update: The reply from EF to this review is disingenuous. My travel companion and I both left extensive information concerning these events in our tour evaluations and were never contacted by EF. The management at EF has been unresponsive and apparently uninterested in removing someone from their staff who is clearly a predator.

I really liked the experience both times I've used EF, once for Ireland and another for Greece. I was fortunate to have amazing tour guides Diarmuid and Greig who helped balance learning new things about the countries and having fun.

EF definitely isn't for everyone, it packs a lot of travel into a short period of time which isn't ideal if you are going on vacation to relax and take things slow. EF does amazing job at keeping everyday filled with things so I don't have to do the research myself. Would definitely recommend for anyone who wants fast pace adventure and exploring new things.
