Disappointing service and extremely difficult contract experience.

Our experience with Citation was extremely disappointing.

We experienced repeated issues with slow response times, lack of continuity in account management, poor communication and support that frequently fell below the standard we expected from a professional HR and compliance provider.

Citation themselves ultimately acknowledged shortcomings in aspects of the service we had received.

Our biggest concern, however, was the contractual experience. Despite the service issues we raised, we found ourselves facing a substantial financial demand to exit following an automatic contract renewal. This resulted in a lengthy dispute before we eventually reached an agreed settlement to terminate the relationship.

The entire process consumed a considerable amount of management time and caused unnecessary frustration.

Based on our experience, I would strongly encourage any business considering Citation to read the contract, renewal provisions and notice periods extremely carefully before signing.

We certainly would not use Citation again.

Stephen Taylor visited our premises to conduct our annual H&S inspection. He was very friendly, approachable and constructive throughout the visit. Rather than feeling like we were being scrutinised or rebuked, he asked thoughtful questions, highlighting areas for improvement. This made the inspection feel collaborative and supportive, while still providing the appropriate level of challenge. It was a very positive experience and an approach that I think is really effective.

I would stay well clear of this company I went with this company to help with my heath safety they didn’t follow through with what they sold me I wrote emails to them asking for assistance with reply’s 2 to 3 weeks later and falsely sold me the service so I stopped my direct debits cause I was getting nothing from them to end up with solicitors letters I tried to resolve this by phoning them and talking to the manager but was rude on the phone only asking for me to pay the outstanding bill not realy knowing I had signed up to 10 year contract by them they passed it on to there solicitor wanting the full balance of over £10000 of me with not even trying to help me resolve this were I said if you do what you said you will do by supplying the service I don’t mind paying the outstanding and starting the direct debits with 18 months of absolutely nothing just £180 per month for nothing so any one thinking about this business be very careful

The review was thorough and informative and is easy to follow.
The follow up call from Sally was also very helpful confirming how Citation can help and what actions to take.

Trying to cancel the contract is proving impossible. My company ceased trading, and I have notified them. They keep debiting money so I've now cancelled the direct debit and finally got an email from them saying they have tried to phone me (not a single missed call from them). Every time you phone, you get voicemail, you leave a message, and no one replies; emails get ignored. Closing a business is stressful; add ill health on top then having to deal with these pirates who just want your money makes things even worse.

They gave me advice on making my staff redundant, so they were involved in the process. That was 3 months ago, and the contract still isn't cancelled. I would never use this company again.
