This is a company that targets and misleads small businesses.
Their sales people lie to lock those most vulnerable in business into contracts that they can’t get out of,, lying about and locking people in to packages that are excessive to small businesses needs.
Even when services are not used, they will still not budge on allowing you to break contracts unless thousands is paid in release fees - this includes when you have already paid thousands in monthly payments for services you never needed and have never used.
As you are entering a business to business contract, consumer law doesn’t apply so they have you trapped.
If you are even considering using these, then I hope this review finds you and I hope you walk away.

I can honestly say that this was the most useful training day I have had, and that's saying something! Darren was fantastic, he was endlessly patient, incredibly knowledgeable and had a brilliant way of explaining things clearly and practically. He took the time to make sure we really understood what we were doing and how to make the most of the system.
We came away feeling that the day had been genuinely worthwhile, with a much better understanding of Atlas and, most importantly, the confidence to use it far more effectively and productively.

I had my first Citation visit with Nela, and it went really well. Nela was friendly, approachable and very helpful. It was reassuring to hear that we’re doing a good job, and she took the time to check that everything we already have in place was looking good, offering advice and guidance where needed. A really positive and helpful visit.

Disappointing service and lack of accountability

We have used Citation for two consecutive years to provide compliance support and carry out mock inspections ahead of our regulatory inspections. Unfortunately, our recent experience has been extremely disappointing.

Following the mock inspection carried out by Citation, I spoke directly with the consultant who conducted the visit. At no point was I made aware of any significant concerns requiring urgent attention, nor were we provided with a clear action plan identifying areas of non-compliance and the steps needed to address them.

We subsequently received our worst Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) inspection report in five years. While I appreciate that a mock inspection is not the same as a full regulatory inspection, many of the issues identified by CIW were already present at the time of Citation’s visit. This raises serious concerns about the effectiveness of the service we paid for and whether the purpose of the mock inspection was fulfilled.

My main concern is not simply that issues were identified by CIW, but that we were not given clear, meaningful advice about the risks or the actions needed to address them beforehand. We engaged Citation specifically for professional compliance guidance and support, and I would reasonably have expected any significant concerns to have been highlighted and accompanied by a practical action plan.

What has made the experience even more disappointing is Citation’s response to the concerns raised. Rather than adequately addressing why these issues were not identified or clearly communicated, the response focused on the limitations of the mock inspection and went on to offer additional compliance support. Given the concerns about the effectiveness of the service already provided, this felt inappropriate and demonstrated a disappointing lack of understanding of our position as a customer.

We expected a professional service that would help us identify potential compliance risks and prepare for regulatory scrutiny. Instead, we have been left questioning the value of the service, the quality of the advice provided, and the level of accountability shown when concerns are raised.

Based on our experience, I would urge anyone considering Citation for compliance support not to!!
We certainly expected more from a company we had trusted for two consecutive years. I did offer Laura Caers a chance to rectify the situation but received no reply to my email.

Christie came to do our risk assessment and was very helpful, friendly and supportive.
