Staff are friendly always kept informed about vehicle situation.
My only little concern is the bumper,it's still sticking out a bit, was it ok and did it need the brackets/clips repairing that's all

Terrible service
Following a no fault accident - the car went into the Sheffield branch. Pick up of car and drop off of courtesy car went fine. Car was then with Alton for 2 months before being returned with sub-quality work - replaced panel misaligned, masking tape visible from respray areas. During that 2 months updates were hard to get - nobody picked up the phone at Alton and when they did it went to a central call centre who knew nothing about the car. Car was taken back in and a courtesy car left that had a slow puncture, this was replaced and the car was in for another 2 weeks. No updates, phoned and left 2 messages and emailed direct to Sheffield branch for updates and no response. Eventually the bodyshop manager did call back to confirm the car was almost ready for return. It was returned yesterday with damage still to the passenger side window post - caused by masking for body spraying, pink pen marks on the rear wheel arch, paint drips and masking tape marks. I have no idea with the customer care and standard of workmanship and lack of care clearing up the vehicle before return how this company keeps getting work.

Very poor experience
My car was put through Alton Cars for body shop works following a no fault accident. I can’t fault the insurance company but Alton Cars were terrible. Car assigned to Huddersfield, but they couldn’t repair it in the (presumably agreed contractual time with the insurance company) so asked me if they could “take it to Barnsley as it was quicker”. They repaired it in Barnsley just in time before my hire car rental expired, but the “expectation” was that I collect it from there. They couldn’t take it back to Huddersfield or bring it to me in less than a week. I did not agree to a different workshop on those terms, and would not have, had it been explained. I had to fight to get the insurance to extend my hire vehicle due to Alton Cars delays. Come the day of delivery, one whole week after completion and where they had just sat on it, I waited in all day (drop off all day 8-6) and at 15:30 they called saying their driver was delayed and could they deliver the day after. No, absolutely not. Interestingly, after putting my foot down, the car arrived at home during peak traffic within the hour. The car was dusty inside and out with work shop grime, there was residue all over one light where they had been taped for respray, and the dash cam was disconnected and thrown on the floor, despite all the holders and glove compartment being empty. Utterly incompetent and poor. Staff sulky who embellish their notes, happy for all my calls to be listened to, I would avoid at all costs. I am going to have to pay for a full valet to restore my car to the pre-accident condition.

Car now completed
due to AA causing confusion with originally stating car written off with only a rear passenger door dint there was a 3 week delay in the process also a front alloy was not repaired but a rear alloy was which again confusion from engineers report at fault two black transfers where missing off a replacement panel after painting now ordered, overhaul the repairs are excellent on the vehicle so I can say I'm happy with the standard, just the delay and missed bits where a little disappointing as the car was with Alton for nearly 3 months 12322

My car has been back into Alton cars in hull to complete outstanding issues,front alloy and striping now all finished excellent job ,staff where first class and provided a hire vehicle too happy to give 5 stars now and can recommend to anyone

Hassle free - Great service
Really impressed…After being involved in a non fault claim, Alton cars were put in touch with me to arrange repairs. From start to finish the process had been smooth and professional. The assessment of my vehicle was booked within a couple of hours of me reporting the incident for the next day. I was informed throughout the repair process which only ended up taking a week. The repairs to my bodywork look to have been repaired to a high standard which reflects their 5 year guarantee provided. Overall very impressed with the service services by Alton Cars in Hull
