Speeded things up at a very difficult time.

Although my application was fairly straightforward at my age I needed it to be stress free.
The help I received and the clear instructions and information made it just that.

I can't believe how incredibly smooth the probate process was with this company! I was on the verge of hiring a solicitor, which would have cost me a small fortune.

Every probate case is unique, but in my situation, everything was wrapped up in just 15 days. From the moment I filled out the easy “you-can-do-probate” form, to sending it off to HMRC, I was amazed at how quickly I received the email confirming that probate had been granted.

YCDP asked all the right questions, it was fairly easy to complete.
I spent about 2 months preparing the application, getting valuations etc.
Probate was approved in 3 weeks from posting the application.

I was very impressed and encouraged with how easy it was to use this service; a welcome change at a time when it is difficult to process the loss of a loved one, and all the legalities that involves, I was given reassurance and confidence that I can, and did do probate. Found details about the service within a bereavement box. Sounded doable so gave it go. A few questions aroused filling in the form. Fairly easy to contact an advisor on how to resolve. Took around two days to be happy to submit. Now wait for the probate decision so can't award 5☆ yet. Certainly in a uncomplicated scenario not having to use a Solicitor to carry out the work then a worthwhile alternative. Thanks

This was the first time that we had applied for probate ourselves and without a solicitor.
The step by step process was quite easy to follow.
Some of the uploading of documents was tricky but we were able to do it and information was there to help with this process.
It took us some time to complete as we found it best to do a bit at a time.
We expected the form generated once we had completed all of the steps to contain a breakdown of how the estate value had been calculated, but there was only a summary.
We were unable to make contact on the support phone number given to check if this was correct and so decided to post the form anyway.
Two weeks after sending in the form we received the letter of probate.
Would definitely use this service again.

If you want your Probate to come through quickly and efficiently then I cannot recommend this company more highly. We had an appointment with a Solicitor for 5th March 2025 and at a cost of £1,503 and was told it would take 12 weeks or more. I searched the internet for an online Probate Company and came across YouCanDoProbate. Looked at the reviews and saw that someone had put that you don't pay only the £399 fee - they said there were hidden costs. So read through everything and noted that you also have to send a cheque for £300 for the Courts to gain the Probate. I did phone them to make sure there were no other costs involved and was told that no this was everything charged - no "hidden" costs at all. So on 19th February I sent off all the paperwork together with the cheque for the Courts. Just over a week later I received an email from Gov.uk to say they were dealing with the probate and that it could take up to 12 weeks. A couple of days later I received an email to say Probate had been granted and I would receive it within 10 days - on 5th March the Probate arrived through the post. So it only took 2 weeks from beginning to end. I would recommend this website and if you have any questions they are more than helpful. I don't know why Solicitors charge such outrageous fees - this was half what was quoted and we had the Probate in our hands before the actual appointment with the Solicitor. I cannot thank you enough for making what is a really difficult time in any families life a straightforward and easy application.

At such a difficult time we found the whole process so straight forward. From my initial call to explain how the platform works I cannot fault ‘YouCanDoProbate’. From start to finish the platform was so easy to use, the online and telephone support was excellent. Theres no need to rush and complete in a day as the platform saves your progress so it can be completed as and when you’re ready. In comparison with a solicitor the fees are very competitive! Once completed we received probate forms back within 2 weeks.

It was all clear and concise instructions. You could leave the site at anytime and all your work is saved so you can go back to where you left off. The only negative I feel is that it doesn't tell you until the end that you have to pay more money which was abit of a shock so maybe you could just make your applicants aware that it isn't just £399. Thankyou though still as it only took 3 weeks to get the probate done and to become the administrator of my mums estate.
