I was very impressed by the easy to use website that allowed filling-in, as the required information was collected. The completed probate application then emerged ready for signing. Difficulty with registering for the service after taking payment, caused by a server outage, was promptly solved by your team that rang back and guided me through the process.

I've been more than happy using all I can do probate I'm nearing the Finnishing stages of the process and Tom, one of the specialists has been more than helpful. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to do probate.

A very straightforward process to follow that demystifies the complexities when dealing with someone's estate. Yes, you have to do a lot of the leg work in gathering the information first but you may well have to do that anyway when dealing with a solicitor.

I found the website simple to use with an easy step by step process. The support information and guides were very helpful.

When I did have an issue with printing the IHT forms, raising a ticket was easy and I had a response within an hour.

It is a very affordable price that has saved us thousands of pounds.

It would be good if you could now integrate using the online Probate application process rather than print out the forms in the future.

Having used a well known company previously to carry out a probate application and being very dissatisfied as it took 12 months (this was not a complex case)
I was determined to apply myself this time around. However the government online system is not very user friendly and I found myself rethinking my approach. You can do probate were the perfect middle ground. The cost was considerably less and the availability of experts to consult with throughout the process was very reassuring.
Before you go straight to a solicitor or an independent probate firm take a look at we can do probate. The biggest difference is that you are in control of the time frame . I will use them again if the event ever arises.

Easy to follow, well guided

I wanted to have a go at doing probate myself but did not have the confidence to go it alone. This platform was the perfect compromise and saved us thousands in Solicitors fees.
I work as a Digital Project Manager so I am computer literate, but I can confirm the platform is very user friendly and intuitive for anyone to use.
I phoned the helpline once for advice and they called me back within 24 hours with helpful and friendly guidance.
It was not an 'accepted estate' and there were several exemptions to be submitted. You Can Do Probate handled this with ease.
After using the platform to generate the first set of estate summary forms for HMRC I received confirmation from them within 11 days of posting. I then printed and submitted the probate forms to HM Courts. It took 9 days to receive an approval email and the Certificate of Probate arrived in the post the next day.
So from start to finish - 20 working days. We were shocked at the speed!

Very straightforward process which explained everything required to fill out the form. This coupled with excellent back up with regard to speaking to somebody if clarification was required & explained in simple terms. Very recommended and good value for money.

Probably like so many, probate can be a little daunting once you start to look into it, so I did a little google search and came across YouCanDoProbate. Initially I was suspect, you have to be, but carrying out my own research everything came back good, so gave them a call.

I can honestly say they are so so helpful and there online forms make the process so simple with the added benefit of having someone available (an actual person) should you need to either question something or looking for advise. The whole process to less thank 4 hours (with a few queries). All the forms, you actually need, are then printed off for you and or other executors to sign. Today, two and a half weeks since they were sent in, I received an email stating probate has been approved - wow.

I'm so glad I went down this route, it removed so much headache and worry and I cannot recommend this service highly, hence 5 stars from me.

Maybe the government should use the same platform, oh and lets not forget about the cost if you opt to use a solicitor, £499 to complete the forms and then another £300 for the court applcation/certification

Using your forms was really straightforward and you were on hand on the phone to help with any if our questions.
The IHT calculation on IHT400 was straightforward and accepted by HMRC within 2 weeks.
After then printing off and submitting your forms the probate accepted within 10 days!! Fantastic service.

I was bit hesitant about using them, but OMG im so glad I made initial contact with them, they were so helpful, they answer my questions & put me @ ease, solicitors quoted thousands to do it for me, so I took the plunge, had forms to fill out & if u had any questions they were only a phone call away definitely 10/10

Solicitors wanted to charge me between £2300 and £2700! They made it sound very complicated. I contacted this firm who offered a fixed fee of £500. Their online platform was easy to follow. When I ran into a couple of things I wasn’t sure of I called their helpline. They guided me through those areas and it was all sorted and posted off the same day. The solicitors had quoted me six to twelve months to get the Grant. I’ve just received it in six weeks! I don’t normally bother with writing reviews but felt I had to with this firm. They were superb. I’m just coming up to eighty and hate form filling. If I can do it , anyone can. Excellent.

My mother died in March this year and I now have an IHT421 AND Probate. Very happy with the process and occasional need to call for guidance. Callbacks were always prompt and informed. The idea of having a named case worker is as particularly helpful.

This is an excellent service which is very good value for money and lives up to its name - yes, you can do probate yourself if you use this platform. In particular, being able to call up and put your questions to an expert, without having to worry about increasing the cost, is a godsend and I wouldn't have managed without it (thank you Tom!).
The process is still time consuming and it isn't easy, but this service makes it possible and way more affordable than using a solicitor.

To significantly reduce the cost of using a solicitor to do probate for my late mother; we decided to attempt probate ourselves. The platform was excellent and made what could be a difficult task, very manageable. The information required would have to be given to the solicitor, so it didn’t feel challenging inputting it ourselves (although her estate was relatively straight forward). It was great having support at the end of the phone. We had a couple of queries, which were responded to quickly and well. We were so impressed with the clear instructions at each stage and how the relevant forms were automatically generated for both HMRC and subsequently for probate. From starting to input data to gaining grant of probate took us 8 weeks! Would highly recommend.

YouCanDoProbate were very helpful when things needed explaining a little more, The questionnaire needed a bit of research to get the information needed but overall things went smoothly.

The YouCanDoProbate portal made the whole process extremely straightforward and it was at a fraction of the cost of engaging a solicitor, or a probate consultancy service. And, it was quick… Thoroughly recommended!

From my first call to YouCanDoProbate I felt confident in the help I would receive throughout the process of applying for grant of probate for my mum's estate. The HMRC forms are not complicated but having access to support and having confirmation that no tax is due and that you have declared everything correctly, is very reassuring. It is worth the money for peace of mind and cost much less than hiring a solicitor
