Worst company ever
Worst company ever. I contacted them and was placed on hold for a long time waiting to speak to customer service. I had to go another route to speak to someone and she was rude and hung up on me. I want a refund of my balance at this point. The rates have dramatically increased. The service is poor.

Is there a negative scale of stars? If so Tel3 gets a negative 1,000,000,000,000. WAAAAAY(!!!!) over priced garbage. And if you fall for their bs promises and advertised rates and buy minutes -- do not expect to get through to your intended party on holidays -- "circuits are busy". Also ...no make that ALSO(!)...it's as inexpensive or even cheaper if you have Vonage just to use your phone without Tel3 and in some instances call on any cell or landline service. Oh and I've been calling customer service for 4 freaking days -- no answer then disconnects!

I can’t login to my account and haven’t able to make phone call.
I can’t login to my account and haven’t been able to make an international call for awhile now. When I try to login to my account, it shows “Your account is not active at the moment, please contact customer service at 1(800) 482-4459.” I called customer service 6 times and each time waited over 35 minutes, then I was automatically cut off. I also wrote an email to the customer service, but only received an auto respond email which said it would get back to me in 24 hours [the ticket number is (#20298301)]. Five days have passed and I wrote 2 more emails, but I still haven’t received any response and solution. My account is still locked and I can’t make any phone calls or login. Please help me to activate my account as soon as possible. This is the only way I can contact Tel3 now.

Tel3 fixed my problem quickly
I had $62 in my account, but when I tried it call I got the message, "Your account balance is low." I phoned Kary at 800.611.3622. It turned out that someone from Russia had "spoofed" my phone number and used up all the funds in my account making calls to Russia. Kary gave me a new access code and a free $10 credit. Calling works perfectly now. MANY THANKS KARY AND TEL3! I hope who ever stole from Tel3 will someday wake up to the fact that there is such a thing a karma. Probably they are wondering why they have such bad money karma, even as they are digging a deeper hole with each bad deed they perform.

Not only have their rates gone through the roof recently, it is often impossible to get through as "all lines are busy".
I've asked for my password to my account reset and it's been several days and no temporary password has been sent to me.
Yeah, sure, I've checked my junk mail folder for that too.
People, stay away from Tel3, it used to be excellent, now it's a complete ripoff, no customer service and I don't think they'll be in business much longer.

Tel3 rates have gone crazy
Tel3 rates have gone crazy. Was charged US$3.85 last night for an 11 minute call from landline in Canada to mobile phone in Hawaii - 35 cents a minute!
Have a very small credit balance now so that's it for me - won't be using Tel3 again.

Tel3 Gone Through
I was on the phone with my sister in Trinidad. For years, I have been using their service. When I called Trinidad today, they said that I had $25.60 available. Usually, with that amount, I am able to speak for about 120 minutes or more. However, today, when I began speaking, they said that I had 23 minutes remaining. During my conversation with my sister, a recording came on telling me that I had 1 minute remaining and that they were attempting to charge my card. My card was unable to recharge, so they said to wait for customer service. I waited for a while and then hung up. I decided to call back only to be told that they were closed. I came home and Googled the company only to see that they are permanently closed. Guess, I have to start looking for another company now. Goodbye Tel3.

Tel3 rip off. Charges have gone through the roof.
Tel3 has been my international connection to family across the globe.
Something has really gone wrong. My calls to Sweden were 2 cents or less now they have gone up to 17 cents.
Outrageous!

This company is cheating with fhe clients. My balance was $68.00 and when I called Karachi Pakistan on mobile, they are charging about 40 cents per minutes which is unbelievabe and hopess. I have the other account of a different who is charging 2.5 cents for the same. Tel3 is now cheating the clients. Do not recharge with this company, they are CHEATER.

I've been a customer for about 4yrs. Tel3 has become a total scam. I was told to call my country would cost $1.90/min but instead I'm paying $3.33/min. They send out promo codes that are a total scam, when you try to call them they hang up every time. I'm very disappointed to say the least. Try doing honest business Tel3

Worst service!
I have been a long time customer of Tel3. Unfortunately the service has degraded over time,starting with "All circuits are busy now" some months ago. Now I am being asked to enter my account number (Never in the past) and when I do,system says "This number is in use already". Why? I sent many emails without getting any response and their customer service is always busy(?) and cuts you off after about 10 minutes or so. Also, they increased the cost per minute for my international calls 4-5 times without any warning. It is unbeliveable. I cannot use the service at all and I cannot contact them to get it fixed. I decided to give up and forget about the $5-6 remaining in my account and join the Google Voice. It is now much cheaper, has better quality and backed by a trustworthy company.

Price goes up to match "extra minutes" SCAM!
Been using this service for at least a decade. It is called TEL3 because that was their per minute charge. A penny less if you used local calling access #. About a year ago they began sending emails advertising "extra minutes." First it was 2 for one. I recharged several times. Then 3 for 1, 4 for 1, and now 5 for 1. I recharged at 2 for one and 3 for one multiple times. My balance was at 16,000 minutes. I watched it very gradually go down. Then all of a sudden I noticed it was at 7,000. So I went online to see what was going on. Apparently they have been raising their price, cancelling out any bonus I was expecting. The email advertised "extra minutes," for which I paid in advance. I want the minutes I paid for. When the balance gets low, I will consider recharging if the then rate, including any bonus is reasonable. But as it stands, that part of my balance that I paid for, expecting a rate of 1 cent per minute is now costing me 4.1 cents per minute.

I have used Tel3 for 20 years
I have used Tel3 for 20 years. It has served me well. Recently I had a big problem with access. I had a frustrating experience trying to reach Tel3 through the customer service line, as it would repeatedly put me on hold and then say goodbye and hang up. So I came to Trustpilot and found a direct number to a very helpful man named Kerry. He worked with me and solved my mystery problem. He was very knowledgeable and helpful, and I can't thank him enough. I rate my customer experience with 5 stars, but I would rate Tel3 with 4 stars because of the difficulty reaching customer service. Kerry is going to look into that and, hopefully, will get it fixed. All in all, this was an excellent experience.

Does anyone know the number to call customer service from united kingdom, I recall seeing 0345 number.
The company was very good few years back, but recent year not sure what is going on with them.
I have written them several times and no reply .
Hope someone can help with the telephone.

I have been a Tel 3 customer for years. I even referred others to use Tel 3 . But as the beginning of 2020, whenever I make a call, the response is “ All circuits are busy”. In addition, my minutes are used up by redialing snd hearing the same response. I have reached out to Tel 3 on numerous occasions but each time has been unsuccessful. The hold time for each call is over an hour then it’s disconnected.
