Disappointed
Their rates went up by 400%, No Holiday specials anymore and lines to Greece have interference. I am looking for a less expensive service.

After years of being with this service
After years of being with this service, they have gone down hill fast. I went to use the service 3 weeks ago, it wouldn't work. My account is suspended. I was able to log in once to check my balance which is $200. Now it won't let me log in,saying my account is closed. I know it has been more than a year since I have used the service, but with COVID we have had no need since travel days are over for now and that is what we used it for. I have opened a ticket and sent several emails but no response. I have called a couple of times only to be on hold. From what I have read, I have probably lost $200 in us funds which is more than $260 cdn. You would think they would have contacted me before my 1 year expiry
I would not recomend the service now. I can see why they are sending weekly emails about specials

Technical difficulties (SOLVED) in re establishing my account. I had not used it in 4 years. In the meantime my phone number had changed, I had lost my password etc. Customer Service took charge of the problem, it was not an easy solution BUT I did not have to chase them for answers and a solution, they kept me in contact with status - AND SOLVED THE PROBLEM!

I had over a $100 in my account and it disapeared. 87 cents a minute to Austria. I guess it that is where it went.

I’ve been TEL3 customer for many years and they have stolen my money
I’ve had a TEL3 account for many years. It seems my account in Florida has been deactivated during the covid pandemic due to lack of use. I had guests staying at my vacation home who urgently needed to phone home, but couldn't. As I am in the U.K. and been unable to travel this has been impossible. I have emailed on 2nd December ( ticket #20302518) but had no response until this week 25th January asking how well my issue had been dealt with! Unable to call 1800 numbers from UK so asked US resident to call them. They promised to call me in UK but never did. Now I have flown out I call them and I get a message “all representatives are busy. Ring back later, goodbye”!!!! This is so annoying. I tried to open a new account but cannot do this a number already taken. I eventually got through to an agent ( Illiana) on 21st January who said account inactivated as not used in a year and they have taken the money which was on the account. I challenged this but was told Terms and Conditions. Okay but allow me to open a new account. She said she was unable to unblock account number but would pass it on and someone would get back to me within 2 to 8 hours. Guess what it is now 28th January and I am still waiting. Quite clearly TEL3 do not want any customers and have no problem taking your money. I need this sorted asap.
Well that worked. I was contacted by Kerry who has now sorted my issue and the account is back up and running. I hope they take the opportunity to look at their system so similar does not happen to other customers.

Tel3.com website Not Loading.....;Charging 35¢ for calls to Hawaii from Kansas?
I've been using Tel3 for years and have essentially enjoyed the service. Sometimes the access number was busy for my MidWest location and that was frustrating as more and more international students came to University and were using the service. But the rates were good and the telecommunication service Good.
However, it's slowly changing. I am now being incorrectly charged 35¢ per minute for calls to Hawaii, which is a USA state! I've tried to contact customer support and have an email or three from the autobot response, but that's it. Today, Jan. 27, 2022, the website tel3.com won't load with an error message stating it does not exist. What is going on?

UPDATE: January 28, 2022: I did make phone contact with KARY (800 611 3622)
who was most helpful and sincere. KARY is trying his best to correct issues within the system. My situation is not resolved, however, in that 35¢ per minute is the correct rate to Hawaii which is a bona fide US state! The web page says calls within the USA are 7¢ per minute? Too, the web page does state calls from Hawaii to the USA mainland cost an extra 5¢ per minute for a total of 12¢ per minute. As soon as the web site is back on line, I shall be better able to see what is what. Stay tuned....

I've submitted trouble ticket (#20303628) to figure out how the rates from Hawaii to the 48 states can cost 12¢ per minute if the rate from Kansas to Hawaii is correct at 35¢. Tel3 has been right on with providing a small boost $ wise in my account, but that won't last very long at 35¢ per minute when it really is supposed to be 7¢ or so I thought. One place says calls to the USA are 7¢ per minute, but the drop down menu DOES have an entry for Hawaii and that rate is 35¢!! Hope they figure it out soon and before my time is used up! Thanks

Tel3 by way of customer service King, KARY, phoned me and provided great assistance! Tel3.com is working out the "long distance" charges to Hawaii from a USA mainland phone and in the meantime has provided a TREMENDOUS promotion which multiplies x6 the amount of money I add! $10 = $60 in talk time. GREAT SERVICE! Thanks King KARY and Tel3!!

I’ve had a TEL3 account for many years. Tried contacting customer service- non existent!!! It seems my account in Florida has been deactivated during the covid pandemic due to lack of use. I have been for many years with TEL3, but now, I am ready to cancel it. The automatic system charged to my credit card, every time I am talking to chile. I know there is money in my account but there it goes that electronic voice “you have been charge $25, 3 times in few days and I haven make calls in between. I can’t get through any juman to talk and the recording say: at this time we are closed, which is not accurate, then all the agent are busy, good bye, so there is no way to get in touch with anybody. I turned off the automatic charge because they will continue charging me. Very frustrating grrrr….

Unable to place a call for months with…
Unable to place a call for months with this card. All I get is: 'all circuits are busy now'. It's been this way for a very long time. Very difficult to reach customer service.

Trying to reach their customer service to recharge my account as I cannot log in for an unknown reason to me. Weird. Staying on the phone for hours.
Still waiting a promised refund
In May 2019, I discovered the country (Burkina Faso)I was calling through Tel 3 was no longer available.
I called them and asked to get the refund of remaining money (about 55$). I was told it would be done.
Never received anything, so I keep calling every other month or so. Most of the time, I spend 3 or 4 hours waiting to have somebody answering as calls are disconnected most of the time. When, by chance I speak to somebody, the only answer I get is a manager will call me back within the day, which of course never happen.
I finally tried to call other countries just to use my credit as i could do through Whatsapp...No account any more.
I am currently trying to call a last time today...(already been more than 1 hour). If I don't succeed today, My lawyer will take the matter into his hands as I am tired to get ripped off.

Yes, I have the same complaint as others here. I called customer service and got cut off 3 times before calling back yet again and finally getting a real person. I was told that because I was 2 days over my 1 year of non-usage that they were taking the balance in my account which is $43!!! This is a rip-off. I no longer have a valid account# yet I can login on their website, see my balance, and there's no indication that I've been invalidated. The only thing I can say in their favor is that when I used the service to make an international call, it was decent.

Tel3 customer service does not exist. They do not answer the customer service phone number and do not respond to messages sent to their customer support. Trying to re activate my account after 12 months of no activity due to Covid restrictions on travel

Going round in a never ending circle …
I have contacted support but they told me to phone, I can’t get through on the phone. I had an account that has been inactive, I just need to re-activate this. I even tried to set up a new account and it won’t let me saying that my email and phone number are already in use. Just going around in circles.

We never called to these numbers. We don't speak Italian, don't have friends and/or relatives there. We also never use assess# used: 17818104696 We had $282 before fraudulent calls started. Now we have $0.06 balance - all because of these calls. Can you please restore $282 minus $8.18 (one call we placed) to our account. *** UPDATE *** My phone was hacked. Friendly Tel3 representative restored my balance. Thank you very much!

Lot of problems witht this company over the years. Basicly, they have poor service with it goes down. Got lots of line busy signals.Trouble refunding unused money. I would and do use cards that are easier to use and more reliable service.
