Where do we begin - the rental agent failed to declare our expensive new house didn’t have functioning heating system she was very obtuse and stroppy, really unsuitable girl for a customer facing role. Shocked to find she was the manager and not surprised to hear not a popular agent in the area.
Nor does it surprise me that they don’t recall who there previous customers are.

I cannot recommend Symonds and Sampson enough. Jeremy and the team at the Yeovil office have been nothing short of excellent from the initial meeting to the selling of our home in an incredibly short space of time. They are professional, punctual and deliver a high standard of customer service.

The Ilminster team were excellent from start to finish. Their valuation survey was thorough and my needs were respected and discussed honestly. The sales team were efficient and the brochure was extremely professional and included personal touches that I had mentioned. The house sold quickly and the negotiation team kept in touch throughout, doing their best to keep the sale moving forward. I have bought and sold several houses and Symonds and Sampson were by far the best estate agents I have dealt with. Thank you!

I would like to thank the amazing team at Symonds and Sampson Ilminster especially Julie, Georgie and Jonathan all were professional, experienced & knowledgeable in helping me find the right buyer for a unique and complex property. From the initial appraisal, photographs, brochure, viewings with feedback, offers and finally sold. All went through smoothly with a better than expected sale date.
They even helped me source a local plumber to repair a leaky shower. I can't praise and recommend the Ilminster team enough.

An agent came to value my property and after a long and off topic conversation, I wasn't given a price, not even an idea. Instead, the focus was on what I had paid for the place, and what wasn't quite right with it. I visited several properties being marketed via auctions by Symonds and Sampson over the past 4 months or so, finally being successful in a purchase via their auction in late October 2025.

All the staff I met, liaised with over the telephone and spoke with during the period between auction hammer coming down and sale completion occurring were unfailingly courteous, helpful and knowledgeable about a process (purchase via auction) which many people are pretty unfamiliar with.

Arranging a visit with my architect was seamless with S&S respecting the needs of both buyer and seller in how they managed gaining access to the property.

I hope to continue a relationship with the members of the firm.

Jeremy, Vicky, Cheryl and the team are experienced and supportive. They are well informed about current market trends, provide a friendly service and excellent communications throughout the process. Highly recommended.

Lorna Wyatt has been managing my two rental properties (one commercial, one residential) for many years. I used Symonds and Sampson estate agents to sell my late Father's house at auction due to its less than great state.

In all respects from the first point of contact on the phone and in person, through the roller coaster ride going through the auction process, to the final outcome of completion today, their tireless expertise has been outstanding.

In particular I dealt a great deal with Andy Wakinshaw who was always a consummate professional balanced with ease of approachability and constant, faithful assistance. Every encounter I had with Andy was so easy and confidence building since this was my very first foray into selling a property and was clueless.

Andy however was a rock with very perceptive and accurate advice the entire way through over a few months. Following his obvious groundswell of gathered knowledge and insightful advice, we were able to complete on what became a tricky situation, that he handled without fuss and instilling confident peace in what could easily have been so different.

What professionalism, friendliness, expert advice and handling, with great timing too.
