They made me pay over 25% retail price.
They send you your watch from Hong Kong and then make you pay all tariffs and taxes, in my case, after buying a €299 watch I had to pay another €81 in taxation that they should have covered...

If you try to return the watch to avoid this ridiculousness, they not only don't cover shipping for your return but also make you pay for the original order's shipment.

Je passe une commande pour 3 montres pour environ 600€.
La livraison s'est effectuée par FedEx et j'ai du payer 156€ de taxes et droits de douanes soit 25% du prix ! Sans quoi on ne me délivrait pas mon colis.
Je pensais que les montres partaient d Angleterre mais en fait elles partent de Hong Kong. Spinnaker n'est pas clair la dessus et il faut aller lire les conditions générales pour s'en apercevoir. Ce que personne ne fait surtout pour une marque qui se revendique anglaise.
Cette mauvaise information est dommage car les montres sont de belles qualités mais le plaisir a été gâché.
Précisez les lieux d'origine de vos envois pour que vos clients ne soit pas mis sous le fait accomplis. D'autres sites le font en mettant un petit drapeau du pays d'envois et là on sait clairement qu'on peut s'attendre à des frais.

I have contacted customer service several times,the first email was at the beginning of November and have yet to receive a reply or acknowledgement.

I am shocked to be charged 20% VAT plus…
I am shocked to be charged 20% VAT plus service fee by Fedex on delivery because Spinnaker products are shipped from Hong Kong. In France the purchase is marked taxes: €0 / shipping 0€ and yet for a simple watch band, an extra bill of €17 is sent by Fedex a couple of weeks after delivery. This is terrible. Imagine the extra 20% on the full watch price! Avoid this retailer who hides the extra charges which European customers will have to pay on delivery.

I purchased a Piccard in dark cerulean. The watch runs over 20 minutes fast a month right out of the box. Definitely needs recalibration or something so i contacted spinnaker just a couple of months after purchase for how to get it repaired as i expected better than 20+ minutes fast a month from a new watch. I was provided by email (good luck finding a customer service phone number as it is non-existent on their website or the internet) a 3rd party repair center and an RMA # with instructions to go to a link for the 3rd party repair center. Believe it or not, even though brand new i have to pay shipping, insurance and $28 for evaluation to get it to them and an additional $5.00 to insure it through the post office for them to return it to me. Buyer beware as they don't repair their products and you will have to pay the 3rd party repair company just to look at it even when under warranty. BTW- even the 3rd party repair center said they didn't have a number for them which i find hard to believe.

I bought a Spinnaker Watch, Dumas Model in December 21. It was beautiful and was lovely to wear etc.
I later discovered that the Bezel Glass was not the same as the Dial Face Glass on YouTube. It was not toughened and inevitably one will suffer the odd knocks resulting in cracking of the Bezel Glass.
This is supposed to be a working Diver's Watch made to withstand tough conditions under water etc.
When I sent it for repair under warranty, i was told it would cost me a third of what I paid for the watch. have it repaired.
Really disgusted that instead of making the Bezel Glass the same as the Dial Face Glass, cost saving was the main aim resulting in a watch good for show but not for practicality!
Would never buy another Spinnaker Watch again.
Will stick to the Seiko and Citizens as these are built to a quality standard, Spinnaker has far to attain.

i bought the Bradner and its a lovely watch, well made and a little bit different, however the bracelet ships a little too small for my wrists, it does fit, but i like bracelets a little loose so i inquired about buying a spare link, the majority of watch companies sell links so i dint think it would be an issue.
Spinnaker inform me that they cant/ dont supply spare links, but i could buy another new bracelet for $70 and scavange the links from that, what a joke !
i dont have huge wrists at 200mm some guys are way bigger so expecting a bracelet to be loose at that size is not unreasonable, what is unreasonable is to expect a customer to buy a whole new bracelet for one link, they are still making these bracelets which mean the links are being made [ stands to reason ! ]
very poor after market service, a little good will goes a very long way, i have had many makers over the years supply links free of charge, but this company just wont supply them, not goosd enough Spinnker

If you’re not getting through to customer service, you’re either contacting the wrong people or you need to check your spam filter. I had a QT issue with a Bradner watch I ordered from them, and reached out for a resolution. They quickly sent a prepaid return label, and immediately sent out a replacement, which is beautiful. I couldn’t have been happier with the responses I received. I also ordered another Spinnaker, a Fleuss, and was also quite happy with the product and transaction. Will definitely do business with again, because they have quality products that they clearly stand behind.

Ordered the MCS HASS Ltd edition and cannot fault the service, delivery communication ( mine was DPD much improved these days, 2 working days) and most importantly the product quality. The watch is heavy, great quality, the box and packaging were 1st class , as was the free turquoise cap.

Highly recommended!

Non existent customer services. I recently ordered & received my 1st Spinnaker watch, unfortunately the packaging that the watch had been shipped in, comprising a fairly flimsy cardboard box inside a black shipping bag had been badly crushed. This resulted in the outer watch box being slightly crumpled, the inner box torn & the Spinnaker baseball cap creased. I have tried contacting Spinnaker via the email link on their website twice now to resolve this issue, but have not even received a reply, even though their website states they’ll reply within 24 hours. I am now in the process of requesting an RMA number & returning the watch for a full refund. I feel badly let down by Spinnaker with the way they have failed to deal with this matter & hate to think what my experience would be like had I had an issue under warranty.
The watch box is an integral part of the purchase & as such should arrive properly packaged & protected. As my shipment included a baseball cap it appears this has been stuffed into a box with no additional protective packaging.

I have had 4 different Spinnaker watches now (I have sold 3 so I currently only have 1). Like others on Trustpilot I have written unbiased reviews for the Spinnaker website (Including open and honest descriptions of issues/design flaws/problems with customer service) and none of them have been published. I do find it odd that most of the Youtube reviews where a watch has been provided to the reviewer free of charge by Spinnaker do not include the design flaws I have found with the various watches I have had.
Also, I did actually have a problem with one of my watches where the movement was out of tolerance yet Spinnaker refused to acknowledge this and I ended up having it recalibrated by a local jeweller (It wasn't faulty, just wasn't set up correctly clearly).
The watches are actually reasonable in terms of quality for the price you pay but the company clearly has some issues it needs to sort out before being taken more seriously by watch collectors.

Having read all the bad news here, I nevertheless placed my order for a blue Spinnaker Piccard, having been totally floored by the design and the way it had been carried out. My order was processed here in UK in less than two weeks from placing my order, and the watch arrived, working, in time for my birthday. I remain entranced by this watch, one of a collection of over thirty similarly large timepieces. Bearing in mind that it cost way less than half the price of a Breitling service here in UK, I'm very pleased with it. It needed two links removing to make it comfortable. but with daily wears of a Rolex DSSD and Marathon J-SAR, it is probably more easy on the wrist than either of those watches.

I bought Spinnaker Dumas and about a week later wrote a review, explaining some quality issues with the watch. I rated it 3 stars. My review never got published. All reviews on their web page are 5 stars and usually include one laconic sentence. Do not trust them. The watch is poorly finished, not worth the money even after 30% discount. There are so many micro brands, and there is always Seiko or Orient, both much better finish quality.

The Spinnaker Dumas is an impressive piece of kit on the size front but once on the wrist it sits pretty and is comfortable. The bracelet was large (which is good, better too large than too small) and impressive ( I removed 2 links to fit).The watch itself is attractive,
functional and well lumed. The watch is hackable and is hand windable. However
the bezel is a little stiff but better that than too slack. Once ordered delivery was swift. A dispatch email was sent with the tracking code and subsequent info was provided by the 'Shop' app which I had previously installed on my phone. A delivery email was also sent. At the time of writing I haven't noticed any time keeping anomalies that might cause concern.

Wanted to buy one of their watches, but I had a question about VAT and shipping. Sent them a mail, but no answer. Also wrote on IG, but no answer either.

Stunningly beautiful watch tainted by incredibly ugly after sales.
This is a company that gives the impression that they care about customer service right up to the point where they take your money and then you are treated like something they have scrapped off the bottom of their shoe.
The level of customer service is so terrible I am returning the watch as a matter of principle. There are lots of brilliant micro brand watch companies using the same mechanism that will offer a far better experience than Spinnaker

Buyer beware. Zero communication. No confirmation emails after purchase. 7 days past posted disclosure of watch delivery. Cant cancel and only after purchase is it disclosed no order can be canceled.
I've left several inquires via website "Contact Us" which is a web form, not even a confirmation email from that - yes my email is correct in my profile.
