After using Revit I found Sketch Up shockingly under advanced and ETREMELY TIME CONSUMING. Things that are quick and easy in Revit are difficult and take ages on sketch up. Have been using it for a few months now, and still think what I thought from the beginning: why is Sketch Up still being used when there are far quicker and more advanced programs like Revit??

Nothing good i can say about. Unfortunatly didint read the opinion before started. Seams all will be gone soon.

the software is designed to be user friendly at expense of professionalism, accuracy, and precision in what it does. It can be called neither modeling nor drafting but simply sketching rough, using very rudimentary tools. Sketching on a napkin with a blunt pencil is comparable to the process. This is not a professional software. Yet is frequently used as such, to the dismay of the worlds architecture. for instance, buildings "designed" with sketchup are immediately recognizeable due to the "plane" effect that lack any coherence of depth or mass. For such a sketchy software you would expect easier access to use it. Quaddruple step authentication is required nearly every time you need a quick sketch. the process takes longer then you need to use the software. It borders on harassment, except the company follows their own laws outlined in "user agreements" that circumnavigate the actual rules of society.

Voor wie zeurt over de offline versie zou ik zeggen dat je betaald voor wat je krijgt.

I was using Sketchup for my webtoon. I paid for a nice big expensive castle that I can no longer use. Because Sketchup decided to put up a paywall. I might have to end up paying for it. But not without voicing my disatisfaction with them. You had a free version before why take it away? Of course. Money. To add onto an ever growing pile of bills as everyone is doing the same thing. Cant catch a break.

AVOID TRIMBLE AND SKETCHUP!

I purchased a full year subscription of their expensive plan. Unfortunately I lost my access token and now can not login to my account.

It has been 2 weeks and I still have not heard back from their support. Reading other reviews I guess this is the way they treat clients. I would strongly recommend anyone that is considering paying for SketchUp to use much better supported and sometimes free alternatives!

It used to be a very good program but now it is essentially unusable.
It has been turned into a crappy web app instead of an actual program. This means you need a constant internet connection to use it which means it doesn’t work while travelling but the worst thing is that, like all web apps, it is really slow, unresponsive and cumbersome. They do still offer an actual computer program version but it costs over $100 and it is a subscription - YOU DON’T ACTUALLY OWN IT.

Why can’t they allow free users using it for personal projects to install a version they can run locally? The answer - money, they want you to pay for the more expensive version so you can actually use it.

While the provided tutorials aren’t excellent, this is the least of their concerns and other websites will help.

The absolute worst client service one could imagine.
Extremely unhelpful and very lazy client service.
Never Have I experienced so much difficulties trying to buy something. Which I decided not to buy after one full day of headache.

From good to disastrous.

Whoever decided this needed to be a webbased thing, instead of a reliable pc programme should be fired.
It doesnt work nearly as well on the web, and there is several reasons why a consumer wouldnt want it to run there.
I personally am on the lookout for a better software, but it's annoying since sketchup is the programme i learned to use in school.

It would be good if the people running this software tried to learn it via their own courses. Lots of assumptions made. The product looks good but hard to tell, the service is poor.
