I would give zero stars if it was allowed! I'm looking to start a class action lawsuit against shiftsmart and its partners for nonpayment to US citizens for work completed when instructions were followed completely as stated in app, as well as clocking in and clocking out within the app... but payments were refused. This has happened 3 times with me with the shopper app within shiftsmart, and shiftsmart is "claiming" they will not overturn the nonpayment and have nothing to do with the nonpayment and only suggest contacting the shopper app management, which I have, with zero reply. Are there others out there that have been rejected for nonpayment by any partners through shiftsmart? They are claiming they are not liable for their partners, but they should be. Shiftsmart is the app I downloaded and work through, therefore they should be primarily held responsible for their partners and workers' pay! If there are more cases like me, let's get together and do a class action lawsuit against shiftsmart and its partners that refuse to pay for work completed! pls email me at

According to Shiftsmart, you are entitled to a full paid shift when getting turned away by management before your shift starts. I've filled out the necessary forms to send to customer service in order to received money in full. Well I've only received the amount for "hours worked" which comes out a miniscule 1-3 dollars. Okay no problem, but I wasn't compensated for the full shift as promised and this happened twice. Customer service is lackluster and uncaring and my support tickets were also "closed". I was told it would take "several days" for management to approve my full pay. That's utterly ridiculous considering I filled out the forms properly which includes listing the manager name and check in time as well as a selfie you have to take in order to qualify for full payment!

I just went to work on the first for Shiftsmart. I get there the supervise at Circle K turn me away on N. Pace Blvd. and a policy is if you get turnaway they still pay you for showing up so now Shiftsmart and took the shift off of my app have not paid me And it was on 1 November. No one is responding to my message. I’m had to go back around to Circle K. I’m also gonna write a review on Circle K at first I did like Shiftsmart but it became messy when you laying in the bed and they take your scores Down for no reason and you go 20 minutes away from home. You may $52 or $48 or $56 they charge you $1.99 to cash out your own money and you have to pay $50 to fill up your tank it’s really not worth it , if you read this, you be blessed stay safe and keep trusting God like I am

I worked for them for 2 years , changed my phone number and got locked out of the app with 4 days of schedule shifts waited 3 days for a code to verify my new number , waited 3 days nothing . So took a job at 1 of the stores I booked shifts for .. this company is a joke read the BBB reports nothing is ever their fault git people bring locked out of their accounts or waiting fur pay . I work at a Cumberland farm store now I see shiftsmart homing in stealing stuff and 1 girl high on heroin . This company is a joke

This company is a good example of why some people shouldn't start a business. A faulty app that has had the same issues for at least over a year. Customer service is beyond pathetic for a company that has so many contracts. I opened a support ticket on September 5, 2024. Today is October 6, 2024 the ticket is still open, no movement. Shameful!

Support for the contractors who work these gigs. Do you need regional support? I'm not busy. I can add value to this company. Cause somebody ain't doin their job. There are 3 jobs currently posting and it's 1:06 pm in TX. One job has start time of 11 am and won't change. The other 2 have start time of 12 pm and won't change. Not going to pick one up as it will show arriving late. Not sure the app has ever worked properly. My first gig was over a week ago and I've never gotten paid. NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT. Open ticket but no pay no response no kidding!

The customer service are thief’s they stole my money I had 1k saved in my account and they stole it it’s a scam be careful the employees need to be investigated negative 100 starts

It was my very 1st shift with the company so I went 30 mins early but the manager wasn't there and the employee said they didn't have much work because 4 people came last week and he may not need me.I ended up clocking in 10 mins early. It was a merchandise shift but they asked me to clean the gas pumps and take out trash first. The Circle K was very small and didn't need 4 hours of stocking but I tried my best to keep busy after clearing out the tubs and filling the freezer, I even organized the lotto area. Another shift smart worker came and they denied him, telling him 1st come, 1st serve.I figured since I clocked in 10min early a 4hour shift would be to clock out 10min early. They gave me a 50% reliability score. The app doesn't give you a do's and don't list and it was my first time, no CS to call and ask about it or email. I had to Google it just to see why my score was low. I signed up for another shift at the same time as this one so will do that one but that's probably it. Doesn't seem to be a good app.

My device was banned and i hadn't even worked a shift. I signed up on the app. and then waited for approval, never came. i went back on app and cant sign on because my device banned. What a crock of...

I showed up for my first job at Royal Farms. When I told the assistant manager I was there to work she told
me that they don’t have any knowledge of me working there today.

I sent a message through the app (app has been having issues for a few days) as well as a text message to Tess (whom I have a telephone number for), no response at all.

I guess it’s a wrap for Shiftsmart.

Thee worst app / company to work for. You can schedule a job for merchandising and they will tell you that they don’t have any merchandising positions and that will just need to clean. I completed shifts / mystery shops and they would constantly reject them. I had recording proving I went into the shops to shop and sent several messages asking if someone could reach out to me so that I could prove I was there. No one will reach out you will just work for free. I gave up and left the app.

All fraud from this shift smart. They have cancelled my shift as I am not UK citizen. I know the app is all about different accents with good english as it for AI voice recognition understanding different voices and accents. But after I went there they didn’t even check my accent or how I am speaking . just said we can’t give you a testing as i mentioned indian accent in profile with out even checking how i speak.so rude and useless testing I have seen. please don’t waste your time going there 85 totenham road london.

I booked a shift at circle K only to show up and be told that someone else already showed up for the gig even though I came 2 hours early. Have called shiftsmart about 20 times with no answer or call back. I am going to get banned from the app for no reason now. DO NOT USE THIS APP

this is a very unprofessional app. they are very unreliable in the agents take too long to answer simple questions. There are way too many glitches and you have to input the same information too many times. Just started working with this company 4 days ago. I worked at one shift and it was less than 4 hours. I only worked 2 hours. I chose to cash out my money the next day but I am being told I have to wait 24 to 48 hours to receive the money in my account. It's been 3 days and I reached out to customer service for them to tell me in certain circumstances I may have to wait up to five business days. It's only $36 and I have to wait that long. I explained my frustration and told them I would no longer work with the company after this situation. I still have not received the money I work for. The agent then decided to send me instructions on how to deactivate my account rather than resolve the situation. I don't waste your time.

The staff had no idea i was coming. I tried over and over to reach them to no avail. I was really excited to start with this company.

this company has a great concept, but has no one to run it obviously. Everything changes basically every day you do what they tell you even when it’s written in their own words, and they find fault with you until you point out their flaws I was supposed to be paid on instant pay that’s what they prod their self on for advertisement. I cashed out two days ago I still don’t have my money. And lo and behold on the cash out site no reason no excuses no statements. And lo and behold on the cash out site no reason no excuses no statements. Things have changed on the cash out part of their app. Your bond is your word they don’t have much of a bond, nor a word.

I have worked several shifts for shiftsmart. All have been at Circle K's. Mostly cleaning. I find the work low stress, overall. The pay is fast and have had no problems after starting. Great for college and retirees with some energy.

I accepted my first shift went in early and was informed they don't use shift smart to hire workers.Wasted gas time and was marked as a no show no call and can as it was my first gig I am now unable to work again.

I recorded each screen of my Shiftsmart account yesterday. I have not been paid as stated below. However this morning, my Shiftsmart account states that I have been fully paid except for 3/20/23 that states, "Pending approval."

I receive text messages from my bank. Not one penny of money is from Shiftsmart after 3/8/23. Shiftsmart & Circle K are going to be a part of an investigation. Yesterday evening, I sent you an email stating that I was going to report Shiftsmart & Circle K to the United States Department of Labor. This morning the status of payment has changed but no money from Shiftsmart & Circle K has been paid to me. I receive text messages from my bank.

1) 2/28/23: $70.61 is correct & has been paid to me.

(2) 3/8/23: $63 was paid to me on 3/11/23.

(3) 3/14/23: 29605 Aurora Rd. in Solon: 8:50 AM - 2:15 PM, 5.42 * $15/hour = $81.30 owed to me. My Shiftsmart account states paid on 3/15/23 after I recorded yesterday that my Shiftsmart account stated that the arrival date was 3/21/23. That is today's date but Shiftsmart & Circle K still haven't paid me.

(4) 3/16/23: 20220 Lorain Rd. 6:00 AM - 10:00 AM @ $11/hour = $44.00 owed to me. My Shiftsmart account states paid on 3/17/23 after I recorded yesterday that my Shiftsmart account stated that thr arrival date was 3/21/23. That is today's date but Shiftsmart & Circle K still haven't paid me.

(5) I did not work on 3/17/23 but my account states that I did work & that $30.30 was paid to me on 3/17/23 which is a lie.

(6) 3/20/23: I worked 9:15 AM - 1:15 PM. My ShiftSmart account states $11.00/hour, 4hours, $44.00 "Pending Approval." The total amount owed to meis $44.88.

Shiftsmart & Circle K owe me a total of $1.70.18.

The total that has been paid to me is $133.61.

These pay issues started with the jobs that I worked in an area that is called, Cuyahoga County, Ohio. When I worked in Summit County, Ohio I didn't have these issues.

Please pay the $170.18 that is owed to me.

As an independent contractor, I fully & professionally completed my tasks & responsibilities as a merchandiser. In accordance to Ohio law wage & hours, I am to be paid for my time worked.

Shiftsmart owes me $170.18.

The following are 2 sections of the Shiftsmart contract:

3.2 (b) possess the appropriate and current level of training, expertise, and experience to provide the Services in a professional manner with due skill, care, and diligence; and (c) maintain high standards of professionalism, service, and courtesy.

4.2 Payment from Shiftsmart Except as set forth in Section 4.3, the following provisions shall govern your payment for providing Services. Shiftsmart shall send you a request for Services from a User (each a "Request"), which shall include a deadline for accepting the Request; a description of the task being requested by a User ("Task"); the criteria the User has created for completing the Task; compensation you will earn for completing the Task ("Partner Fee"). Each Task will have different completion criteria and those will need to be accepted before performing the Task. After evaluating the Request, you must submit an appropriate written response within the deadline to accept the Request. You will be paid the Partner Fee within seven days after the Task has been completed in accordance with the completion criteria. You acknowledge and agree that, unless the Request specifies otherwise (e.g., a Task having an hourly rate), you will only be compensated for completed Tasks and not for incomplete or partially completed Tasks. You acknowledge and agree that the Partner Fee is the only payment you will receive in connection with the provision of the Services.

I am reporting this to the United States Department of Labor today.
