DECEPTIVE PRACTICES
I don't mind paying a little more if a company is pleasant to deal with. However, Sharper Image is not only overpriced, but deceptive as well.
Their website stated that a clock would be $20 off with a promo code. When I entered the promo code, the price didn't change. It also said I qualified for free shipping, but the shipping charge remained in the total.
When I called, I was told that the price shown on the website WAS the sale price. On the website, it said "comp. price $xx.xx". It did NOT say "Original price..." Plus, the comparable price elsewhere is much less. I found the exact same clock on Wayfair for $30 less PLUS free shipping.
They also told me that instead of free shipping, I would get a credit for future purchases. As if!
In short, Sharper Image wanted to charge over $102 total for the identical clock I ended up buying on Wayfair for under $50 (including tax and free shipping).
If you like throwing your money away and getting jerked around with deceptive practices, Sharper Image is the place for you.
