Gravesend branch were very helpful

This review is regarding Robinson, Michael & Jackson in sittingbourne (part of the Robinson Jackson group).
This is the second time I have used them to sell my property and have again received the same fantastic service. From start to finish they have been great. Very proactive and understand what a ‘sense of urgency’ is. They qualified the buyer well and ensured everything was in place before the stamp duty holiday ended.
I have no issue in recommending the Sittingbourne branch of this Estate Agent.

Wow. Why did I not read these reviews before using them. I have basically had the same
experience specifically with Robinson Jackson Lettings. Ellie, who I have met sounded so promising at the beginning then everything was just a BIG mess, they dont update you, late viewings, they even tried to put in a dodgy tenant just to get rid of my property! Not to mention they charge one of the highest monthly fees 14% including VAT and the highest moving in fee of over £1000 not even including the contract. The worst is they moved in a tenant without doing an inventory, very dodgy and they obviously do not care about your flat and its contents. Filed a formal complaint today. Please do not make the same mistakes that I have done. It is very stressful.

Used Robinson and Jackson to rent my flat, at first they were very polite and informative. As soon as the flat was rented all communication stopped and it became clear they just wanted the money and had no interest in customer service.

Any repairs that were needed they just demanded money with little explanation of what the issue was.

When I wanted to claim my property back from them they were very slow and unhelpful. Then after the contract ended and all fees were settled, they sent me a bill for £160 stating that emergency boiler repairs had been needed six months ago but it hadn't been added to my account. I wouldn't have authorised this as my family member is a boiler engineer. Very poor communication.

The whole thing was a shambles from start to finish - will never use again.

AVOID, AVOID, AVOID this estate agents at all costs ! had to keep asking for updates which never came. Finally made a complaint to branch manager at Chatham by mail, received in my opinion a vulgar display of how NOT to talk to an existing client.
FOUR DAYS NOTICE GIVEN BEFORE COMPLETION AND THIS COMPANY REFUSED TO TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY.
We had planned to give all of my wife's late mother's furniture to the British Heart Foundation, however this was not possible and we ended up having to have it collected ourselves at a huge cost and the furniture was destroyed as we had nowhere to put it.
We approached RMJ to ask them to cover the cost of the collection from their £4710.00 fee but they flatly refused.
Basically we now have to pay them £4710.00 for not doing a professional job.
ABSOLUTELY SHAMEFUL AND AVOID THIS ESTATE AGENTS IF YOU CAN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Made an offer on a house and agreed the sale via Robinson Jackson and they went dead for a week before telling us a property developer who had “seen the property before” made a substantially bigger offer and basically said tough luck bye! No way do we believe they didn’t show the house after an agreed sale.

Impossible to get viewings.

I have lost count of the number of times I have received a property alert and called Robinson Jackson, only to speak with someone who says they'll have someone call me back 'right away' to arrange a viewing. They never do call back, and when I call back 30-60 minutes later I get told viewings are full. I don't understand how people are being offered or getting priority viewings and what more I can do to view one. I'm actively making offers on properties, have provided them with all of the information they need about my circumstances and it's made little to no difference at all. Shocking service. Don't care about buyers one bit.

Atrocious is too good a word to describe them. 1 viewer in 8 weeks of their being sole agency! They failed to answer detailed questions I asked of them. FAILED TO COMPLY WITH THEIR OWN COMPLAINTS PROCEDURE. Unable to adhere to sellers instructions. They got initial property description WRONG 3 TIMES. Even on last day as my agent, 2 out of 2 viewers failed to arrive! Del Boy Trotter could have done better. 8 WEEKS WASTED BY THEM. Recommend them to your enemies!!

Exactly as the title says.. They will promise you the world until you sign with them. After that, you are prisoner of their incompetence. No proper communication, no sales skills what so ever. And most of all, full of excuses, to cover their lack of market knowledge. Everybody can sell a cheap house and that is exactly what they want to achieve. A cheap sale, pocket their undeserved commission, and go on to the next victim.
I suggest you find an online agent and try and do the viewings by yourselves.

My wife and I purchased our house via the Bexley branch. My advice would be check what information you get verbally and follow up with your solicitor to make sure that information is correct. Our experience has cost us considerable amount of money and leave us with a bad taste. For that reason I would find it difficult to recommend Robinson Jackson.

I engaged with Robinson Jackson a couple of times for sales enquiries and to view properties. I found their service representatives very rude and dismissive, visibly annoyed at my enquiries over the telephone. On top of that, following my contact with them, I was added to their mailing list without being asked for explicit consent.
Although they seem to have a good grip on the local market offering, I believe they should really do an effort to improve their customer service.

Honestly we all know house purchasing and selling is one of the most stressful things to do, so unless you want it to be made 100000x more stressful and virtually impossible then stay away from RMJ. Cant speak for all branches but strood is something else.
Michelle was supposed to be the sales ‘progressor ’ on the house we were trying to buy via this agent, however she ‘progressed’ very little.
Offer was accepted on the property mid july and by end of September, on several different occasions i had to chase what was happening with the sale as the communication was nil and we wanted to know how far away from exchange we were, on the first occasion i was informed by michelle on the phone that she was confident exchange and completion would take place in november. This was at the end of september. By the 10th november we still werent any the wiser. Another 6 weeks of no progress and the sellers solicitor not communicating with mine, Michelle was absolutely no help at all and when i eventually got through to her and questioned why she told us she was confident exchange would happen in november when evidently it was not going to happen, she denied ever saying this. Again another week passes with no communication from anyone and at this point michelle wouldnt even accept a phone call from me. I was always told she was on unavailable and to send an email....funny how a brief and blunt instant email response was received but she didn't have the time to answer the phone. Her attitude was horrendous and professionalism was non existent throughout the whole transaction.

We were then informed by michelle that the sellers would be signing contracts on the friday (13th november) to complete on 24th november! Perfect as it may sound of course this again was also a load of lies. The day before signing contracts was supposed to take place we then learn that another property in the chain was a new build that had now been delayed until April!!! And they expect us to believe that they only just found that out??? Wasn’t born yesterday. Understand a few weeks delay with new builds but 5 months!?
Eventually me and my husband pulled out of the purchase at the end that same working day and instead of communicating with us the following day the property was instantly put back online. No correspondence whatsoever.

Shocking ‘customer service’ and for the substantial amount of money they charge it is a joke.

Stay away from them if you can.
Ewemove or Wards are 10000x better.

Robinson & Jackson Eltham branch are highly recommended. They are friendly, efficient, kept me updated, supportive and go the extra mile especially Theo.

The best estate agent in Kent Robinson Jackson Northumberland Heath very professional Dexter and Jane were so good they always put my mind to rest as I did not need to keep calling them to see how it was going as they kept me updated regularly and it was a very fast turn around I would recommend them to anyone that was selling there property as they did Exactly what they said and got my property sold in good time
