Do not use this company!

1. They don't refund the caution (deposit fee). I have been waiting 5 months for my 200 eur back. Probably, I wont get it ever back.
2. I noticed that they invoiced 150 eur from my credit card recently (5 months after trip). I had to cancel my credit card and order new one.
3. They have old and bad cars. The first car stopped after driving 1 km from the airport. We had to wait hours for replacement car. Both cars were driven well over 200 000 km.
4. The customer service is really unfriendly. They were blaming for us, because they couldn't contact us after the flight landed. They were claiming that it was our fault that the first car went broken.

PLEASE DON'T USE RENTACARSPAIN.

Smooth, easy rental process every time. Very reliable company.

Poor poor company... tell you your getting a car less than 1 year old our car was 10 years old clutch slipping headlights not working and it was just pathetic.

They came back 3 days later took the car back because we got a parking ticket asked us for 600 euros we said no they terminated the contract voiding all their rights to our bank but still next day took 400 quid!!!

Have reported to police and bank.... after giving me the car on day 1 and realising it was a con as the car was so bad I drove it at 30mph into a wall and I'm now so glad I did it..... don't try and Rob a brit... our banks are amazing and our actions are even more so...

We have used Rentacarspain for years, and although the cars are often a bit beaten up, they have been cheap and more or less reliable. But waiting times at the airport have been getting longer and longer, vehicle collection has become less and less reliable and the last car we were given had a slow puncture in one tyre, a flat spare wheel, a only semi functioning door key and an under functioning AC. In July. Responses from Rentacarspain were of the 'put up with it' variety. We almost got the impression that as long time customers we were being treated when worse than others.

We are not using them again.

If renting a car in Spain avoid Rentacarspain.. They are based in Malaga and their online rates look very reasonable. However. since reurning from Spain recently having used this company, I have discovered that 390Euros was taken from my card as a supposed deposit. Other rental companies I have used only swipe your card as a security for safe return of car but do not take any money. I have been trying to phone rentacar to have deposit returned, but they do not answer their phones. On doing an internet search I have discovered masses of complaints about this company and people not getting their deposits returned. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

I have used this company twice. My parents have used them several times.
You should expect old scratched bad looking cars with the possible of multiple mechanical disfunctions. The Cars can however drive, but as other costumers have written, "you get what you pay for".

First time, the car was ok, with a minor fault on the brakes that was not dangerous, but still not as you would expect from a renting company.

Sadly i was even more dissappointed, the second time we rented a car.
First of all the car had a electric engine fault, that the representative promised the office would call maximum two days later (we arrived 23:30 friday) so that the car could be swapped to a not faulty one. He furthermore promised that the car were in mechanical good shape. That was incorrect, as the suspension was so noisy from the bearing-arms, that i had to check it for myself, to make sure we won't get in an accident because of that. There was only a little fuel in the tank, and with two small kids and driving at night to look for at gas-station is not optimal. The charge of the car was also a lot more than their website claimed the price would be, because of the wheels and tyres insurance (something that you cant reject, had raised from 20 Euro to 80 Euro) The price was now nearly the double of the booking confirmation. Plus the franchise money they reserve is 390 Euro (The first time i had to call them to pay them back and that took a month, this time i will give them a month, and then start calling them again)

I had to call them myself as they were not calling me back to replace the car. When the car swap should take place i waited for 45 minutes at the parking express at the airport (i was promised 5 minutes) and then i was brought a similar car, with no engine fault though, but still with noisy suspension and ZERO gas in the tank. (i regretted that i returned the other car with a bit more fuel than i had to). The representative seemed somehow irritated that i wanted the car replaced, and i understand that they are busy, but after all i am a costumer in their store, so i would suggest just a little bit of understanding and polite behavior.

Returning of the car was easy, but i had to make a call the day before, as the handwritten description was telling me to call the number and a person would come to get the car (we were leaving at 5:30 in the morning). i asked if that was correct, but the person answering my call was very helpfull and told me to leave the car in the car parking, with keys and parking ticket i glovebox.

I would recommend the company the write back on the sms, to tell if the car is picked up and everything is ok. As a costumer you have no chance of knowing that the car is being picked up, and you can be sure that you will get your deposit back (390 Euro)

With this description of my experience, i hope that others will know what they can expect when using this company. I'm not totally dissappointed, but if i find another good offer from another carrental i will use them the next time i go to Malaga.

Are nothing but a bunch of crooks, have been trying to get deposit back for over two months now, and I am being fobbed off with excuse after excuse. Plus the car was the worst car I have ever driven, 149k on clock and loads of things not working. STAY AWAY FROM THEM !!!!

We rented a car the 30 of May this year for one day. The car was old and big miles on it.
We payed a deposit of 200 euros and still after almost one month havent got it back!!!!
Tried to contact the company by the email-form and WhatsApp but no responce!!
Dont use this company!!! Go to a big company instead. Little bigger cost but hopefully worth it.

We tried to book attracted by very cheap prices and the service they offered. We can only corroborate that what they advertise is the truth. Very very happy.

This is a company I will never use again. To rent a car in Malaga it’s always a hazel. This time I took an extra charge to not pay until we went down. They were supposed to meet me and my family at the airport. They didn’t come and I have to call for them twice. We took a walk to the parking lot and we were just standing on the sidewalk waiting for our car. When we were waiting he charged me what we was supposed to pay and after that our car came. We got a C4 Picasso at least 8 years old and it had run 150000km. There were so many damaged on the car so I just told him that we needed to sign up all the damaged It would take the whole day so he just made a ring around the whole car and said that it was ok. Then he left and I was standing there with a most embarrassing care with a broken exhaust pipe so it actually sounded like a V8 sport car. If you like Folk race this is the car company that fits you perfectly. We were lucky and the car worked the whole week (there was no gas in from the beginning and we barely had enough to the station). Because of the car we didn’t dare to go very far so we left the car almost full. When we were supposed to leave the car we had to phone them 20 min before arrival to the airport. So we did and no one was there. I called them and they told me that they were on their way. I waited but after another 30 min I had to call again and tell them that I will miss my flight. Then they told me that they thought that I already left. I took the keys and put it were the lamps supposed to be and left. I guess they were too scared to face the upset customer.
So if you want to have a bad car and no service this is the place to go.

I booked with Rentacarspain.com as the All inclusive price was very good value , I wasn't able to locate any reviews online before I booked , this was a mistake I didn't look hard enough , when I managed to find the reviews on this car hire company I was really worried as we were making a long journey after arriving in Malaga.
There were telephone numbers and an e mail address listed on their website both they failed to respond to , finally I did manage to speak to a representative from Rentacarspain.com who reassured me that they had been in business for many years , the cars were new and the service they offered was very good , they didn't offer free cancellation so we travelled to Malage and took the chance .
Big mistake , the website leads you to believe they are waiting in the arrivals hall with your name , we received a phone call whilst waiting for our bags informing us they were waiting outside the arrivals hall , 2 colleagues were wearing blue rentacar t shirts which was correct we located them straight away . We were taken a good 500 metres away from the terminal building to a lay by by the side if one of the car parks , after a long journey we were led to believe the car was waiting outside the arrivals hall this was not the case , there was no offer to help with luggage etc he walked off in front and said follow me , not the experience we had received from every other car hire company we had used . We Were presented with a very old Fiat Panda A category, I had booked a B catagory Renault Clio , this was not the car I had reserved , we refused this car and instructed the representative to ring the office , no way could we fit our luggage and 3 passengers in this car , this was not the car I had booked , we spoke to the Rentacar office and the female we spoke to was very insistant this was the car I had booked she kept quoting 5 doors which was not correct , she did have a massive attitude with us whilst on the phone of rake ur in leave it , whilst my husband took the phone I brought up my booking online which showed I had booked B grade car and not A which was the fiat panda , we stood our ground refusing to accept the car , they did eventually offer us a bigger car but at a cost of an additional €20 , this is probably their ploy to get you to okay more ,this we accepted as the situation we were in and didn't have an alternative .The car was brought to us within about 20 minutes , it was a bigger car but battered on every corner , no wheel trims over 80klm on the clock and looked really rough , by now we had little choice than to accept the car . The rep from rentacar pulled our a piece of paper and wrote out the agreement on the bonnet of the car whilst his colleague looked on , very unprofessional , he had the card machine with him , this made no difference as the office had just quoted we have your card details which I felt was a bit of a threat , this un nerved me , we were given a copy and some instructions on where to return the car which turned out to be incorrect , the instructions were so vague , again we had difficulty getting through yesterday to confirm the drop off point , we did eventually get through only to find out the initial instructions were incorrect , we were requested to leave the car in the Car park , unlocked with the keys and ticket in the glove box , take a photo of where we had parked the car and send to rentacar Spain via what's app , unprofessional again .
Thankfully the car didn't break down which was a great relief as other reviews have had issues with the breakdown company that is used
My advise to all of you reading this review , don't use this company , they are very dodgy avoid them like the plague , the old saying goes you only get what you pay for , a big lesson learned by using Rentacar.com never again .

DONT! Very old cars,the guardia who helped us when the clutch burnt out said"this car is at least ten years old and should not be on the road" don't rent from them if you don't speak spanish as when the recovery guy comes out he will not speak english. BAD BAD COMPANY.

Ich habe mit rentacarspain am 1. Januar 2017 in Malaga ein Auto gemietet. Es war in einem sehr schlechten Zustand, zerbeult und noch sehr schmutzig, auch im Innenraum.
Das schlimmste aber ist, dass sie ein Depot von 4oo € der Kreditkarte belastet haben, das sie zurückbezahlen wollten nach der Rückgabe des Wagens.
Dies ist aber bis heute, 6. April 2017, noch nicht passiert, obwohl ich schon zweimal gemailt habe.
Finger weg von dieser Firma!!!

Do not use this dangerous, unreliable and outright rip off company.This is without a doubt the worst hire company in the world not just spain.

We collected a car from them which looked like they had just collected it from a scrap yard. It had more dents than a well used banger racing car, 160000 km on the clock. It had to be jump started before we could even leave the airport, we refused to take the car but were told they didn't have a replacement so to go elsewhere but without a refund. We were promised the car wouldn't break down again but next day we drove anout 2km and broke down with steam&smoke pouring out. Tried calling the recovery no which doesn't exist, we then tried calling all of the other nos only 1 answered and they just kept fobbing us off telling us to call the recovery no. Opened the bonnet to see what was going on to find that the engine manifold wasn't even attached!! Break fluid all over the underside of the bonnet which had clearly been there a while. All warning lights were constantly coming on. We will be reporting them to the police, airport authority and have already got our bank investigating them. This is ruining our holiday.The cars they have are unsafe, unreliable and certainly not worth a single penny of anyone's money.
Our hotel have finally managed to get hold of someone that agreed to tow the old wreck off site but all phone's have now become out of service, proving they are just a fraudulent company. We will now be going to spanish police, airport authority and the governing body controlling car rentals. Do not book with this company, they also go under the name allinclusivecarhire and possibly others.

I have booked With a company called Rentacarspain based in Malaga Airport, that my dad used last year in July and he was very satisfied. They sorted me with a Clio for 6 days for 90 euros debit card only required for all in rate! good service.
I recommend it to anyone who needs a cheap car and a fast service and qualified.

Rentacarspain charges security deposit and does not return it. EUR 390 has been withdrawn on 08/10/2016 and untill today 24/11/2016 not refunded. On 19/11/2016 they informed, money has been transfered back and I asked to send a confirmation, but so far nothing.

Delivery and dropp off very simple and just into airport area. We always have taken the last minute offer, that have good deals, and require a deposit as garantee. They just stop us a deposit that was refunded after a few days we returned our caro.I recommed it.

I collected my car from Malaga airport after a long wait of 40mins. I was shown a Ford estate for 68€ not the Punto at €42 I'd requested. I refused to pay more so they found the car I chose. It was covered in scratches and dents so I took many photos just in case they blamed me when I returned it. I was charged €40 additional insurance for tyres and windscreen even though I had my own insurance cover which they refused to accept. Comprehensive insurance cover they advertised-wrong and a lie. I was then told I had to pay €390 deposit which would be returned in 2 weeks, Another Lie. I hated driving the shabby wreck of a Punto. Midweek I became alarmed with the cooling gauges of the car which fluctuated from cool to red hot warning light. I stopped using the AC which improved the coolant level. Next day the generator warning light shone brightly as we approached our apartment thank goodness. Countless phone calls resulted in an agreement to change the car, but I had to return it to the Airport in Malaga. Glad I got there in one piece and picked up a really nice clean diveable Citroën, the quality I expected from a hire company. Slow collecting from the airport location by Rentacarspain but I was glad I'd got there OK after a 45min drive.
Trying to secure a refund for my deposit has been a nightmare, - emails unanswered, and numerous WhatsApp messages each promising various returns reasons for none payment, but I would receive it!!
I had however contacted my credit card and stated that my money was being withheld fraudulently. The deposit was withdrawn from my account on 15/10/2016 and today 16/11/2016 I'm still waiting. Tonight however I was told by the Halifax that my money would be reimbursed tomorrow morning in full, they agreed with me that waiting 33days was too long to wait for a refund.

I got an old car that was far from nice. Lost my key and they could not give me a new one or an other car in 3 weeks. Tried to contact them over and over again but they never answer and they have no Office if you want to visit them. They stole my things in the car and they stole my deposit.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
