Excellent Redweek follow up

On a recent timeshare rental purchase in Maui, multiple parties’ approvals were needed. Redweek managed the approval process well while keeping me informed of the status.

Smooth and safe Transactions

I feel this company is very trustworthy and gets the weeks that are purchased cleared and changed into the new name on The reservation quickly and smoothly! I feel that sometimes they don't get some of the questions answered quickly but overall I'm happy with my experiences with Redweek!

We reserved.a unit that was listed as…

We reserved.a unit that was listed as oceanfront and when we purchased and transferred the reservation it was Oceanside. Clearly a different level. No action no apology nothing just oh well and you can cancel or proceed. I feel very deceived and feel the property was misrepresented by the owner yet Redweek says oh well and collects their fees.

We understand how important view categories can be when booking a stay. As soon as the discrepancy between the originally listed “ocean view” unit and the confirmed “oceanside” view was identified, our team was apologetic. We wanted to ensure you had the opportunity to consider and review your options prior to finalizing the reservation, and at that time, we offered the ability to cancel for a full refund if the updated view category did not meet your expectations.

We appreciate that you ultimately chose to proceed with the reservation, given the timing and availability at the resort. That said, we take concerns about posting accuracy seriously. RedWeek is a marketplace where individual owners create their own postings, but we do work to hold owners accountable and will address discrepancies like this directly with the owner involved to help prevent similar situations in the future.

We’re sorry again for the inconvenience and appreciate your feedback - it helps us continue improving the experience for both renters and owners.

Booking was seamless!!

The process of using Red week was so easy, we will be back. I did learn some things through the process so next time, it will be even easier. I appreciated all the communication and the fact that it was easy to search for the exact location that we wanted to visit. Our friends had suggested using the site after having a positive experience.

We hear you, and we understand why some members preferred the previous model.

Direct communication did work well for certain experienced owners and renters. However, it also became one of the primary ways bad actors were able to target our community. Unfortunately, we saw too many cases where funds were taken or bookings weren’t honored, especially impacting newer or less experienced members.

The move to a full-service model was made to protect everyone, creating a more secure, standardized process where transactions are handled safely from start to finish. This helps ensure both parties are protected and removes the uncertainty that often came with direct deals.

It’s also worth noting that while some members used the DIY approach successfully, it was also the area most frequently exploited by those looking to take advantage of others.

Since making this change, we’ve seen stronger overall results across the board, including higher booking success rates, increased owner payouts, and greater renter engagement.

We know change isn’t always easy, but this shift has allowed us to build a safer, more reliable marketplace for all members.

Too many email exchanges and agents involved

My issue was finally resolved but not to my full expectation (taxes should be calculated on the final cost of the rental; not on the original price if there is an adjustment of price in favor of the customer). The issue resolution took longer than necessary and with too many email exchanges (with long periods of silence in between); a call back would have expedited the resolution. I also didn't like having 3 different agents replying to one issue; it should have stayed with 1 for the entirety of the issue resolution.
