First time on this food our cat had vomiting and diarrhoea. The cat was in obvious discomfort and howling in pain!!!

This food should be banned!!!

AVOID AVOID!! My cat started having NESTLÉ PURINA food this week and quickly became lethargic and not himself literally jus lay there and wasn't himself after a vet visit I learned this may be the cause as was advised to research PURINA NESTLÉ pet food and sure enough as the vet had hinted on there were YouTube... Fb etc videos etc on the long list of pet fatalities and illnesses/fatigue..fur loss..sickness...bowel issues etc.. All proven to be from NESTLÉ PURINA pet food all around the world not just UK cases! I would never of thought this was the cause!
RESEARCH IS KEY TO EVERYTHING

Our 7 year old Cat lost 750g in 6 weeks, and is now in intensive care at the Vets on fluids, all since switching to Felix Cat Food 6 Weeks ago.

If anyone here has had a cat with similar symptoms;

• Huge weight loss
• Fur malting and almost dead
• Lethargy
• Sick constantly
• Chronic diarrhoea
• Coughing up blood

Can you please let me know how you recovered your Cat? We have switched her to Hydrolized Proteins as her intestines are now shot, but any advice would really help.

I tried to find the Facebook group for the government petition on change website but I cannot locate it.

But it has disappeared, any help/advice on recovering our Cat would be hugely appreciated.

I would rate a 0 for Felix Doubly Delicious pouches of all varieties. Last year the product was fine, this year since September my 3 cats would rather starve than eat their daily pouch portion. Something is seriously wrong with the food quality, cats are an extremely good indicator of BAD FOOD! Most supermarkets are charging £5 per box of 12 pouches & the food is only good enough for biofuel!!
My cats are ALSO refusing to eat Purina Go-Cat Five Promises dried biscuits, both Fish & Meat varieties, again £5 for 2kilo very recently purchased! My message is to PURINA…. I PROMISE TO NEVER BUY YOUR PRODUCTS EVER AGAIN!

My cats appear to love this food. Unfortunately, the foil tops have become SO difficult to remove recently that I will need to find an alternative. Purina really should be more considerate of more elderly and disabled customers who will have difficulty removing the foil tops if you use too much adhesive.

Contaminated manure manufactured by a corrupt brand. Nestle/Purina sponsored vets are making an absolute fortune out of this!!

I've fed Purina Gourmet Perle for the last few years, my cat loved it and I could get it in the big boxes of 40 from Asda when doing my food shop. Recently he's been experiencing some diarrhea and refusing to eat much of the Purina at all - it smelled fine to me, and he'd lick some of the gravy up, but would refuse the rest which is unlike him.

Tried him on a couple of other brands as a last resort before getting him to the vet and he's eaten them up fully, whereas any attempt at giving him the Purina he still refuses it. He seems absolutely fine eating other brands. It's only now that I'm googling it that I'm discovering others have had the same issue. Such a shame as I have a pack of 40 I'll have to bin to be on the safe side, I really hope they investigate and identify the issue so other cats don't get harmed.

Been giving my cat purina gourmet for a year now, this is the only brand that he would eat. But recently he has been turning his nose up at these and i have noticed a bad odour from the pouches. Thinking that the warmer weather had made the pouches go off, i then purchased another box.
Still wont eat them.. he’s usually a greedy boy bit now he gives it a lick and leaves the food ..

Our cat used to love gourmet Gold but recently has turned her nose up at it. Then when she did eat it she immediately threw up. We initially thought it was a bad batch from Sainsburys as they were selling them cheap. We switched to buying form Tescos and the cat has just thrown up again, immediately after eating it. Wish I could attach pictures, opened a tin yesterday with a best before date of 05/2024 and there was all green and white mould over the top of it. Phoned Purina and they put the phone down when we mentioned the issues and the mould. Pictures have been sent to them, so we will see how that goes. Absolutely terrible behaviour from a company.

Awful stuff. Will never again buy Purina.

I know that Purina are trying to pass off these bad reviews as nothing more than slander or biased lies, but the food is simply making cats sick.

I used it for a while and it took me a long time to make the connection. I have 5 cats and on Felix food, 2 of them became ill. One was worse than the other. She was being sick, loosing fur, scratching all the time, scabbing over. She's back to her usual self now - and I will never feed my pets Purina products again.

This is both due to the poor, low, quality of the product making her sick, but also due to the egregious manner in which this company has handled hundreds, if not THOUSANDS, of complaints about their loved cats becoming unwell.

No longer a UK Felix Cat! Wish I could give 0 stars. Almost lost my cat to Felix "As good as it looks", Doubly Delicious and vet bought Purina Pro Plan from after severe symptoms including fitting, vomiting immediately after eating, coughing up white foam, runny poos, lethargy, fur loss, red raw scabs and huge vet bills.
The look and smell of this "food" has really changed. It smells gone off and was being refused 8/10 times, so many meals had to be binned. Even the local hedgehogs and foxes refused it! Do your own research. Will never buy again.

Wish i could give 0 stars..Awful food! Never buying any Purina product again.. i nearlly lost my fur babies. They refused foods so many times and when they did eat..
My poor babies had severe symptoms.. vomiting very soon after eating, blood in poo, runny poos, lethargy, layimg around all day, no activeness, itchy red scabs & fur loss very unhealthy looking. Eventually led to fitting. 🥺
Currently in a few Facebook groups and reading thousands of similar stories and many cats that are uncurable and/or didn't make it. Was very nearlly me. 😩

We've now changed foods to natural wet food, home made & raw. (After all they are Carnivores thsy need their high meats and natural realness.) within days they improved so so much.. skin, nice thick fur growth, their energy they appear happy, pooing better and none smelly. Amazing!

Poor quality food, marketed well. Grew up thinking Felix was a good brand, but research as an adult showed me how low the meat content is and how much grain and sugar appears to be in it. Would not purchase Purina food ever again as it’s low quality packaged to look good. Cats deserve better.

I will never buy purina food again. Do not buy this rubbish if you care for your cat

I would give zero stars if I could - I feel this food is poor quality, addictive, fattening and dangerous based on my own experience with two cats.
Many other people have experienced the same thing - vets find it hard to diagnose problems but all pointers go back to the food. I will never feed my pets on it again .

Wouldnt want my cats to touch purina products again after all the cats been affected and dying.

Luckily we changed food brands before this situation started.. stay away from ALL purina products.

I took in cat with terrible sickness and bloody diarrhoea for which a vet could find no cause. His elderly owner could not cope with cleaning her home due to the constant mess on every floor. I found out he'd been fed on Felix and I was aware that others were having problems and the company refuse to take responsibility so I'd already banned all Purina from my home. This cat started to get better almost immediately with the change of diet and now I have a happy, healthy cat. In my opinion there is only one place for this food and that's the bin.

Will never buy any purina food for my cats again after seeing a page on Facebook about how bad purina cat food is for cats.
After stopping buying this stuff for my cats at Christmas, i saw such a difference in them, more energetic, their fur feels so much better, normal poo's not diarrhoea that smelt so bad, not being sick everyday and happier. I have 4 cats and noticed a difference in them all.

I normally feed my cat fresh real fish, chicken and other meats but he gets fussy sometimes I thought I'd try gourmet wet cat food for a couple weeks. The result was it never filled my cat up he would eat 12 sachets in 2 days he was always hungry literally meowing for food I dont know why. He also pees and poo a hell of alot more. I changed him back to normal real proper meat no more craving for food no stinky litter tray I'll never use pouches again maybe my cats spoilt I don't know

Order didn't arrive. Repeated delays. Poor customer service. I cancelled in the end and took my custom elsewhere - Avoid!
