I ordered 4 Serendipity Alum perennial plants which were delivered late April. I was VERY DISAPPOINTED in the quality of the plants I received. After numerous emails back and forth, I was told to go ahead and plant them and let them know how they looked in 2 weeks. At $20+ each, (total over $100 with shipping cost) I would have never bought these at that price at a local nursery. Will never order from this place again. Beware, what you see is not what you get.

I've had one of their Leaf joy H2O plants (Philodendron Congo Rojo)for a couple years, and it has been easy to care for, and grown well. However, the cork stopper got waterlogged and nasty over time. I contacted Proven Winners recently to inquire on how to purchase new corks, and they responded quickly. They requested my address, and sent 2 new ones, free of charge! I appreciate the care they showed in ensuring that my plant will be happy and healthy for a long time to come.

The one star is really for their terrible customer service. I would normally give their plants 4-5 stars. I've grown many PW plants over the years, but those were always bought at nurseries and I could pick up a healthy looking plant to bring home. Recently I did my first online order from them and I was absolutely shocked at the state the plants arrived in. Like others have noted, the plants were ridiculously tiny, and it was clear someone had done a hack job on them. But even worse, they had yellow leaves and were so wilted. They'd only been in shipping for 1-2 days, and I could not imagine that they had gotten into that state only due to shipping. After reaching out to the company, I was told that "pruning" was always done on summer plants and that a grower at their greenhouse said to simply plant everything and it would be fine. Well, I did what they instructed. The coneflowers I ordered clearly had root rot and chunks of them just fell apart into my hands. They have since died completely. The coleus I ordered hasn't died quite yet, but I'm not going to get my hopes up.

I have spent tons of money buying Proven Winner plants thinking they were top quality. This season I spent $6 on a sunbini which was marked full sun. I have noticed other local companies who grow sunbinis and state the plant is part shade. The PW plant died three weeks after I planted it. There have been other PW plants that have not done well too. What really bothers me is that their tickets are incorrect. I have stopped spending my hard earned money on Proven Winner plants!

I want to point out that Proven Winners and Proven Winners DIRECT appear to be separate somewhat, whereas when I've ordered from the "direct" website those seem to come terribly packaged and from a third party vendor. However, when I've ordered directly from ProvenWinners.com, my flowers have been packaged extremely well (four individual boxes inside a larger box with no chance of them capsizing en route). Flowers have always come in great condition from them. PW-Direct is another story...

Plants arrived dry with dead or dying leaves. Contacted the company, sent pictures and they said "you haven't watered them enough". They were already dying when they arrived.

Plants received were very dry, wilted. Planted them asap with good soil, watered well. Remain wilted 2 days later. Plants received were 1/2 the size I was expecting. Had bought 2 at Lowes day before in different color, way bigger and healthier for same price. Picture I took for evidence does not represent how bad in person plants look.

i’d rate this zero stars if possible. one plant was missing from my order, one was dead, several were dumped out of their pots, most were unlabeled. The customer service has been extremely unhelpful. i strongly advise you to avoid spending your money with this firm. i certainly will in the future.

I paid almost 50.00 for 6 Sweet potato vines plants and I got the most skinny, wick and flimzy plants. Even tho I plant them with the hope they could do good. A few weeks now and yes some are good but already 2 plants died. I would wait and get them fromHome Depot instead, I just didnt want to wait because they were not in stores yet. Waste of money😣

Very poor customer service. I ordered 4 doozie double play spiraea and only received 3. I placed several calls to number on the sheet. No answer. No return phone calls. I looked up Four Star warehouse who sent the plants. Got same phone message. No response.
Don’t trust them to do the right thing

Loved the beauty of some of my plants. Sadly, Some were jammed on top of others in the packaging, damaging the plants below. I had, for instance, 2 petunias...one was much larger than the other, the smaller one never caught up as I had hoped it would. Still, they grew well in the short time I had them...about 2 months. It appears our intense heat in Fla. was too much for them all. They all started dying close to the 2 month mark and high summer. Proven Winners were no help and indeed, were rather dense, dull, and unintelligent. Certainly there was no help for me. I won't buy from them again. Ever.

Maybe 10% of your plants will survive the winter. Too bad, because this brand is so prevalent in all the big box stores as well as privately owned landscaping businesses. Really a good deal for them as you will have to replace most of your hard work each year for "perennials".

Plants came with black spot and they tried to tell me it was just because I let it get wet on leaves. Pretty
Seriously??? The “customer service rep” was rude and told me to call back IF my diagnosis was right. Plants were on their last leg within 10 days!! Buyer beware

A rip off company. Do not purchase direct.

I recently received my $59.00 order which included shipping. It was 2, 1 quart containers of loose soil with green leaves sticking out and no true root mass. I would even consider them started cuttings. I expected a fully started plant in a one quart container.

One plant was broken into two stems plus the remainder with root.

Never again.

I was so impressed with my plant order. The packaging was so impressive. My plants were in perfect condition. I will definitely be ordering again.

I ordered hydrangeas from this company and needless to say one of them was in terrible condition when it arrived. Half of the stems were broken off in the box and soil spilled all outside of the container. I reached out like their website says to do within 3 days and they refused to take any action. I would never order from them again. When I reached out to customer service they almost acted as if it was funny. They sent me confetti in a text when I was upset they would not help. Very unprofessional.

ZERO STARS. Horrible product (2 of 8 pots were just filled with dirty only & the other 6 were broken stems and yellowed leaves). Horrible service & communication (owner cursed at me). They know they are horrible. COMPLETE GRIFTERS VIA SCAM! There should be laws against this company's illegal practices.

I have ordered extensively from them for the past four years and every time I open one of their boxes I am really impressed with the health and size of my plants. I usually buy larger plants ( quarts are fine and amazing for annuals and some Perenials but the quart sized shrubs just stay small and don’t seem to go anywhere) and find the vigor in my zone 5b garden is excellent. They are responsive to questions and concerns and if a damaged plant arrives they are quick to replace. I’m really do recommend them .

Horrible. The flowers they show on their site are no way reflective of the real color, condition, and size of the flowers you get. They sent me flowers that were half dead and the wrong colors. I tried to call to get a refund and they were very shady. One person named Cindy (or Sandy) told me she was the manager in customer service, i asked if she would process the refund since they sent me flowers they sent were not what was shown on the website. She told me she other things to do and was busy and would get back to me. I sent them pictures of the flowers and they tried to explain the huge discrepancy by making excuses. Never order from these crooks!
