Privilege has given me a consistent service over the last 6 or 7 years. I find knowing roughly what I am about to receive each year is the most important part of the service. However, for the last 3 renewals the price of the same policy content has jumped around quite alarmingly. It jumped up by about 40% 2 years ago. I did the time consuming comparison exercise and found that Privilege was still 3rd best on price out of about 100 providers.
Last year, against all expectations, it was back down again to almost the previous year's price. And now, up it goes again.
The key thing is that I have sufficient back knowledge to trust that you are still competitive in a fully competitive market place.
So, i hope this can continue in the future because nothing irks me more than trying to strike a balance with quotes across the myriad of insurance companies.
I also note that judging the quality of staff is almost obsolete because you and most of your competitors have designed a system and process where there is no need to talk. In the past, your staff have been really helpful and efficient in getting the job done. So rather sadly the old adage "It's good to talk" has gone.

This company penalised me for my ex husband leaving my property. After 30 years of no claims, because the existing policy was in his name, when I came to renew and asked for it to be in my name, I was told I had to start from scratch! Even though I was on the policy too! Policy increased by over double! Plus the excess is much higher! I’m disabled and live alone, but they still charge me so much more through no fault of my own, not happy! Policy is on address as it always has been, so why the massive increase!
