I called up for a quote for PDI insurance and was put through to Bradford. Who went above and beyond for me, helped me run quotes for a few different vehicles, fully explained every aspect of the policies and gave me all the information I needed to make an informed decision. He also managed to beat the best quote I had received from all the other insurers and brokers I’d contacted and with more beneficial extras in the policy such as courtesy car, excess waver and public liability. I’m extremely grateful for Bradford’s help in making a potentially stressful process easy and looking out for my best interests as a new instructor.

Well, where do I start? I've been with Policywave for a few years now, and in my opinion have become too large too fast to handle the amount of work that is involved. Some years ago I had a fault claim with a deer strike (which ran off into the fields) all was taken care of and was assisted very efficiently, all sorted within two days to have car collected and replacement offered, NOT through lemonaid of course. The entire incident was dealt with and had me car back pretty quickly too. Now tho, had another deer run in front of me, superficial damage, deer did not run away this time unfortunately. Calle it in on Sunday 27th, here we are on Wednesday 30th with car away but no sign of guaranteed car, even though when taking out the policy when asked about the replacement DC car I was hesitant but took the extra policy to be safe as.the call handler told me their claims team have a vast array of access to DC vehicles up and down the country. I have just been informed today that it states "where available" (but they have access to over 50,000 cars across the UK), and low and behold I am unable to receive a car because o my location in Scotland (oh yes and calls a re recorded), pitiful excuse from lemonaid too, they have no clue of these matters, at one point in the calls I had to remind them I require a DC car, their reply was "OH YEAH, so it is". So cut to a call, waste of my time really but spoke with a manager I think, basically it's not our fault!!!!!!!! I pay you to arrange suitable cover in any event. I pay you to ensure that should something happen I'm back on the road teaching and earning. I have students who have tests upcoming, one has his date to cancel now passed and the other is coming close to last date to cancel. It really bothers me that no-one is taking this matter seriously, especially with the condescending comments of "I understand what you're going through" remarks. How on this earth can you understand what we go though when our key tool to work has been taken away and the GUARANTEED replacement with a contradictory clause is not going to happen? You're wages are unaffected if you're car is taken to be repaired, you could work from home. I will certainly not return to Policywave again. for those considering this, take heed and think again, it's not as clean-cut as made out to be. My shopping for next provider is started already. Completely unimpressed with this outcome.

Had a quote recently from Policywave and while this was not the company ended up with I was tremendously impressed with the level of service I received. My agent Leslie was very helpful and definitely not in the slightest bit pushy. He went above and beyond to help beat my best quote but unfortunately was just shy. He delivered as promised with call backs and was patient with me while I compared quotes. I highly recommend this company and in particular Leslie he was extremely helpful and patient. Next year I will definitely make Policywave my first call.

I have had nothing but an outstanding experience with policy wave. They have provided me with driving instructor insurance and made the transition seemlessly smooth and easy. I highly recommend them the customer service staff are highly skilled and knowledgeable precisely what they are doing; and advised me on anything I was uncertain about. I would hope next year at renewal

policywave is a corrupt company and can not be trusted .do not believe anything they say they are trained to lie and deceive.
I recently took out a policy with policy wave
I am a driving instructor and needed a dual pedal car if I got into a accident . I took out a policy with a extra caveat so if I had a accident I would get a hire car if I was at fault or not. the hire car was supposed to be supplied by RAC a reputable company.
but when contacting policy wave they let a insurer called lemonade deal with my claim as it was a non fault accident I explained that my car was fine my mechanic had looked at it and said it could be fixed and it was just the bumper and was not dangerous to drive. I still sent policywave pictures of my car and immediately they said I need to take it off the road and put it into storage and they would source me a hire car. I said no to storage as I did not want to cost insurance companies more than it would cost to fix my car but I needed a hire car while I waited.
So I agreed for them to get me a hire car and explained to them that my mechanic who was vat registered and able to fix my car in a week .
the next day policywave had put me intouch with a company called msl who reported to be a RAC sister company and had been directed to deal with my case on behalf of RAC and now I was hiring a car from msl and was instructed that i was not allowed to use my mechanic .they then went on to say they must pick up my car and put it into storage so the rain did not get into my bumper which was laughable it had a few hair line cracks. .
Msl then went on to hire me a Renault Clio for £180 a day I could of had a Porsche and did not request a photo of my car for 2 months the day after I sent the photo of my hairline cracked bumper msl said that it would be a write off and now needed to speak to the 3rd party laughable.
I called policywave and expressed my dissatisfaction on the amount of time msl was taking and why they sold me a policy with RAC and then put me intouch with msl they expressly told me that msl was a subsidiary of RAC and it was all fine
I knew they was lying I did a company check but I humoured them but my blood was boiling because they had lied and was selling policies and not honouring them .
I have just had them lie on the phone again I took out a policy for a new car in the conversation they promised a dual pedal hire car and guess what the policy shows it was with RAC . 7 hours later I cancelled the policy after paying it in full..
guess what they said as I had cancelled my extras and policy wave proceeded to charge me for the extras ie RAC hire car . the cancellation fee £72 I asked why the extras would still be charged at 42.50 and that I was not aware of this information when setting up the policy over the phone the lady continued to lie and said that I would of been informed of this. refused to except I had not been told and proceeded to charge me for the additional extra .
So I went and had a look at the policy because I did not trust them I had a look and it said I had a 14 day cooling off period and would not be charged. so I copied and pasted it on a email to them . 15 minutes later I got a phone call from the lady who was swearing blind that the policy was to be charged and that I was informed .she then went on to say I would not of been charged because the accounts department would of noticed .
lol what a lie
so to cut a long story short you may save on a little bit in the begining but it's these sort of companies that cost our children and us and why insurance premiums double for a £3000 pound claim companies like this take 4 times as much.

I have had a policy with them as qualifying ADI , I have failed my part 3 test so no longer required the policy, I've sent policywave an email to explain the situation and asked them to amend my quote to private car insurance, what I got from them is we don't do any private insurance so you will have to cancel your quote, I had no option only to go ahead with what they wants me to do, I agreed to cancellation, after few days I received an email asking me to pay £350 for cancelling fee!! When I replied back and asked for explanation how the amount was calculated? I got an email to say it's a policy terms and conditions.
I did ask again which part of the policy says that ? They sent another email to say we dropped the amount to £129 and you have to pay it in 7 days.
I still don't know why I have to pay this amount!!
I couldn't pay the amount within 7 days ( I have not agreed to pay it in 7 days ), I received another email to let me know that they add £45 on the top of the amount and Its been transferred to some collect agency?!!.
It's all about ripping customers off and claiming as much money as they can from customers, the customer service nowhere near professional.
It's worse experience with policywave .

I contacted Liam from policy wave to get a new quote as my ADI insurance was up for renewal. Liam was very polite at all times, friendly, helpful and clear with everything I had to do and what they would do. I had spoken to a different provider earlier in the day who was plain rude and arrogant. Was very refreshing having such a lovely agent to deal with. It was also one of my deciding factors to go with them along with a fair price for my insurance and not an inflated cost as with other companies that I’d had quoted.

Daniel did a wonderful job reducing my annual premium. He also called to discuss my policy as he stated, at the time stated. He was very efficient and could not have been more helpful or friendly.
I recently posted a poor review after a difficult situation following misunderstandings with a call op on 11th May regarding my car insurance.
I can say the team that dealt with my complaint were excellent. Not only did I find the support from the contact centre following my complaint very good, I also received a quick resolution to this dispute, with the director personally writing to me acknowledging all my concerns and providing me with a suitable outcome. I felt appreciated as a customer and thought that the reply was understanding and fair.
I have edited my review to 4 stars as Policy wave acknowledged my complaint quickly and provided me with a quick resolution to my issue.

A good thread of emails allowing constant and professional communication.
Phone to email, Policywave have shown a caring and professional approach from day one.
I originally set up a policy(as a Driving instructor, new years 2024) over the phone. This was an absolute delight and should clearly be a way that others should follow suit.
Since this, I have received emails with advice and politeness, I like that policywave have kept in touch and I feel looked after.
The information that I have received both over the phone in addition to emails has allowed me to feel more relaxed and at ease...always something that is hard to come by.
The quote I received was cheaper than other companies and included more incentives, for example, courtesy car with fitted duals, road side assistance, dash cam incentives etc.
All in all, policywave have allowed me to leave a franchise and become fully self employed with their help. This has allowed me more time with my family and I am able to save a few pounds which will no doubt be used with good intentions.
