READ GARON RUSHTON review - AVOID!!! Almost the same happened with myself. I ordered what was described as a ‘universal inner tent’. This arrived just in time for my camping trip. When I arrived I attempted to put it up inside of a brand new Olpro Breeze awning. After an hour of failed attempts (no way was it going to fit), I packed it back in the original packaging, with labels etc attached & on my return home, paid almost £10 to return it. I waited over a week, before contacting Outdoor Action to find out if it had arrived & when to expect a refund. I was told that the person who deals with returns was unavailable, but a message would be passed on & I would be called back. Two days later I called again & received the same response. I then received an email to say that a refund would not be issued as the item had been unpacked & used. Their ‘evidence’ of this being a photograph of the item with a blade of grass on it! I telephoned Outdoor Action & asked how I was supposed to try the item without unpacking it & was just told to arrange to collect it. appalling customer service, would never use this company again.

Pray nothing goes wrong with your order. £160 pound down with no item. Their customer service is comfortably the worst I've experienced.

I have just received delivery of a Stanley 1.4l flask.

Good points = competitive price, quick delivery

Bad points = 'packaging' was limited to bubble wrap, no box, no further protection. This resulted in the product being dented on the bottom edge of the flask. Why didn't they box it? Presumably to save on packaging costs. End result though is that if I can't trust them to send me undamaged products then I'll have to shop with another company, it's not like they're the only company selling these products. Yes, they might be a few pounds cheaper yet, if I have to send it back to them at my expense, that cost saving is wiped out.

Solution = pack the flask with more care and preferably in a box with bubble wrap. Prior to opening I could feel the bottom of the flask through the bubble wrap, this tells me there weren't enough layers used. What do you think happens to the package? It travels around in numerous vans, being thrown around/dropped/jarred every other minute, before ending up with the consumer. This might not be a problem with clothes but it certainly is with something that could break.

After being ripped off trying to buy a hard shell jacket by my local shop now referred to as Go Elsewhere, I turned to OA. What a difference, so helpful on the phone, even helped me with my lack of experience ordering on line. 36 hours later Montane jacket arrived, happy bunny!
Without doubt the best shop, most helpful staff (JR?) and my new go to shop for future purchases. Well done guys.

I've ordered a couple of times from Outdoor Action. Good prices on ferrosi gear. Fast delivery. I had to return something for a smaller size and had return post refunded by PayPal's easy returns system. An excellent retailer, recommended.

Ordered goods sent my royal mail signed I did not recieve goods. I track goods all week stated tracking number not found then i emailed said it was delivered by royal nail and signed for .i did not recieve item and the signature was not mine
Outdoor actions not interested believed I had recieve it now I'm out of pocket by£43.00 and no item was present for grandson xmas

Great service from this company, customer service was ideal. I bought trousers, that once received I realised had the correct label but were mis-sized (fault). The company responded quickly to emails, and refunded my money (no others in stock) immediately they received the returned trousers. They also, when asked, refunded my postage cost since the item was faulty and not my fault - without quibble. I can recommend this company with flying colours.

AVOID!!! Very bad customer service. We purchased x2 camping chairs from them and opened x1 for less than a minute, only to have a look at it. We realised it wasn’t what we were after and packaged them straight back up and sent back.

They’re refusing to give us a full refund on the basis that the chairs are used. NOT TRUE and definitely not fair on us. They accused us of lying and are refusing to give us our refund and have kept our chair?!?! How does that work?!?! Furious is an understatement.

I have now bought Berghaus fleeces from Outdoor Action Ltd on two separate occasions and I am very happy with the service I've received from this company. The goods were as described and were delivered in good time to the collection point I'd selected. Very happy to recommend them to others looking to purchase outdoor gear at a good price.

Excellent customer service! Ordered some shoes online for a great deal. Delivery was fast but unfortunately the shoes didn't fit. Contacted the store and spoke to a very friendly and helpful represtative. Shoes were returned and refund was process within days. I'd definitely buy from this store again :)

I bought two items from this company in one order, so as to be eligible for the free delivery, the order was dispatched very promptly, and it was with me in no time!

When I decided that I wasn`t happy with the quality of one of the items, I gave them a call, and the very friendly customer care team made it easy for me to exchange the item for something else!

I would happily buy from them again in the future!

Product arrived promptly but sizing was very small. Having bought items from same manufacturer I was confident in size selection. Approached store for free return label as I was very disappointed. They refused my request. As a gesture of goodwill they could have been more helpful.

Fast cheap - perfect!

I ordered a Regatta Coat and Regatta fleece from this company online, the items came within 5 working days as stated, which was the only positive. However neither items were the same as pictured online, the fleece was meant to be a burgundy/maroon colour and it came as an orange colour and the all black coat came as a black with green trim coat. I would normally just accept this as I didn't mind either of the colours that came, but the real poor service and problem arose when i tried the coat on, only to find it still had the magnetic security tag on.

After calling them, their only answer was to send it back to them in the post, so they could remove it, then send it back to me. Which would ultimately leave me probably 10 days without the coat, or go into a local shop to ask if they could remove it. Which would make me look like a thief as I am asking a random shop to remove the security tag off an expensive coat, the guy was quite rude on the phone and made me feel like I was to blame or that I was putting them out and being difficult.

I would never shop with this company again as they failed to sympathise with me when it was clear they were at fault.

Terrible customer service, which is disappointing as they have such good reviews previously.
