I received the wrong shoes in my order, Solovair responded promptly to my message and more than made good on the order.
These are great shoes, and customer service is outstanding.

Excellent Customer Service from ViV. I had to contact Solvair regarding an issue with my boots. I'd gotten them out for Autumn and although I had bought them last year, there was a small issue with them. I contacted customer services and I can only say the best experience I've had with a customer service person. Efficient, quick and friendly. Viv deserves a bonus, she's a credit to Solovair.

These are incredibly well made boots. Top quality made the old fashioned way. Shipping to the United States was quite quick- within a week of ordering. I accidentally ordered a size too large and arranging an exchange was quite simple. The response from a representative was very fast. I had a minor issue with the return carrier not servicing my area and the company was quick to arrange a different courier to facilitate my return/exchange. Absolutely everything about my experience was 100% positive!

So I ordered a pair of boots on the reduced outlet section. There seemed to be a delay with the order it was outside the timescales, so I email them and a lovely customer service advisor got back to me right away. There had been an issue with the site and the boots were no longer available and she asked if I wanted to switch out for a different pair or a refund. I went with refund as there were no more in my size that I wanted. The customer service advisor was great she apologised for the disappointment and she even gave me a good discount code for if I choose a different pair later and it has no expiry date. I wasn’t expecting it I was just happy to have my refund sorted so quickly. Great example of how even when things don’t go to plan, good customer service makes a big impact (I have now picked a different pair in my size and am happily awaiting my order) thank you Viv in the customer service team you are a star.

Great service - very well packaged, very quick delivery, great communication, easy ordering, and a superb pair of shoes. Quality of material and construction is excellent! Just wish more companies could match this level of service. Recommended

I purchased a pair of Solovair boots after hearing so much about their quality, but my experience has been very disappointing. After fewer than 10 wears, the elastic had already stretched and become misshapen, making the boots look shabby and unpresentable.

When I raised this with Solovair, customer service responded once, saying the issue was not a fault but just “wear,” and offered me a 25% discount on buying a new pair, which to me felt like being asked to spend more money to fix their quality problem. I politely asked for clarification and what options were available for compensation, including whether I could return the boots. Since then, I have sent multiple follow-up emails and received no response whatsoever.

It is extremely disappointing that a brand that trades so heavily on heritage and craftsmanship treats its customers this way. The boots have not lived up to their reputation, and the aftercare has been dismissive and unprofessional. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Solovair.

Update: Der Kundenservice hat sich nochmal gemeldet und die Schuhe mit DHL verschickt. Diese sind heute angekommen und wirken erstmal super. Vielen Dank!

Es ist generell alles sehr seltsam und unprofessionell. Wir haben Schuhe bestellt, die angeblich mit ups verschickt wurden obwohl auf der Webseite als Versender DHL angegeben wird und wie soll es anders sein, diese Schuhe sind nie angekommen. Angeblich wurden sie vor unserer Haustür (an der Straße!) abgestellt, und das obwohl nie eine Abstellgenehmigung erteilt wurde. Einen Zettel im Briefkasten hatten wir auch nicht. Der Kundenservice ist ebenfalls absolut unbrauchbar, die sagen nur sie hätten von ups ein Zustellbild bekommen und damit wäre alles erledigt. Ich kann absolut nicht empfehlen da Schuhe zu kaufen, vor allem eben für den verlangten Preis.

Une livraison en temps record, commande de France le lundi matin, reçue le mardi. Oui oui, le lendemain ! Hallucinant !

Truly amazing customer service! Following an issue with my shoes where the leather began to peel (due to a fault impossible to see in quality control), Solovair were very responsive and sorted the issue right a way. The person handling the case truly cared and talked me through different options, before arranging a replacement.

I was surprised how easy and fast it was to exchange boots for a different size. They even arrive with a bag you can use for packing before shipping back. We needed to exchange the size twice and both times it took under a week from Latvia. Great experience. Now lets see how the boots hold up.

I got my Solovair boots a little under a year ago and I am really happy with them. It’s always nerve-wracking to order shoes (especially boots) online without being able to try them on but I made an exception and I am so happy I did. I received the shoes quickly considering the international shipping. Initially I tried to break in the boots while wearing thick woolen socks but quickly discovered that it actually did more harm than good and switched over to normal socks. Ever since the switch I have only ever really experienced pain in relation to the boots when wearing them for extended periods of time (+8) hours and that has been minimal.
I am now excited for the weather to change so I can wear my boots again! (Note that my boots have not been exposed to very extreme weather, no more than a few cm of snow, so I can’t say how they do in such situations)

Fantastic customer service. I returned a pair of unneeded shoes and the returns process was by far the easiest and quickest I've experienced. Money back in my bank just 2 days after posting. Says a lot about the company and I'll definitely return in the future.

Due to the fact that Solovair does not have any brick and mortar stores in the metro Detroit area, I asked them if I could buy a couple of different styles of their boots for a birthday gift to see which style she liked more, and then send one pair back at their expense, they gladly sent me two pairs and covered the return shipping on the pair that we did not want. I have owned a pair of the 11 eye black astronaut boot, for somewhere around two years now, I have put hundreds of miles on These boots, and they are super comfortable, and are showing no signs of breaking down whatsoever. I think this is an excellent quality product, and I highly recommend them to anybody that wants to support handmade craftsmanship.

I ordered several shoes from Solovair. The sizes run high so I had to order a few pairs. The returns process was quick and easy. Furthermore, I made an error on one of my bookings (Sizing) It was resolved by customer service in an instant. They also merged an order to save costs and processed a return for the money I was out of pocket. Really helpful, especially because it was my bad.

The shoes I received and have worn are exceptional quality. I recently visited a DMs store for comparison and it is chalk and cheese when it comes to the quality.

I recently bought a pair of solovair boots and for my surprise the sole started coming apart. The boots are not even 1 month old.
I notified the manufacturer and I was told that they are aware of this issue and they could replace them for a new pair or to find a reputable shoe company to fix them … of course they would pay for the bill. I just don’t even bothered to do either of these things . I had a friend who welded the sole with a reputable shoe company and few months later had the same issue. These company doesn’t make quality boots anymore but they charge as they were. I would not recommend to buy these boots to anyone unless they change their internal politics and starts making them in uk again. What a shit show!

I’ve worn Doc Martens for years but had decided to switch to Solovair. This experience has confirmed that choice—both for the outstanding quality of the footwear and for the exceptional customer care. I bought a pair of Solovairs last November and I've worn them almost daily. I wear them to work, clubbing etc and they're incredibly comfortable, easily my favourite shoes. Recently I noticed a small break in the soles and contacted them to ask if they'd be able to repair them, got a reply in under 10 minutes saying they don't have the ability to repair them, but they would send me a replacement pair free of charge. Within the hour I got a shipping notification. Unreal customer service. I already recommend them to everyone, but I'll be even more enthusiastic now!
