Fabulous service. Fast delivery. Unfortunately the shoes didn't fit, but the return process was simple and the refund was applied really quickly. First class!!

No issues, really fast shipping to Republic of Ireland. (No hidden charges as it ships within the EU.) I would order from them again.

Recently read the Co history which is a fasenting story. 51 years old and as a kid age 10ish I started wearing Dr Martens due to flat feet per a Dr recommendation. I didn't know Docs were made in your factory until recently.

Just wanted to give you guys a huge "hell yeah! from the states.
I love both pair, and plan on a few more to grow my collection.

I recently purchased a pair of Solovair Classics, 8 Eye Derby Boots, Navy Rub-off, size 9 1/2. from the Solovair Outlet website. Yes- they do half sizes!!
I absolutely love them! They are so comfortable, feel great, and look amazing. They are a million times better than the ones made by a certain "Doctor"...maybe that's because Solovair are the Originals, still made in England, since 1881. They arrived quickly and well packaged. I will treasure them for many years, and think of you all at Solovair, every time I wear them.

Pair of Solovair didn't last long.
Received as a gift few month ago, the sole staring to split (pictures sent to Solovair, no option to add them here) so I've contacted the company via the website. Soles and top great condition.
Not having the receipt anymore, they just asked me to contact a cobbler, as they are well made welded soles and easy to mend, to fix them.
No cobbler would risk to try as the result could be messy.
Back to Solovair to ask for help (even if I have to pay for the courrier and work) but not possible. I've been redirected to the website "Repairs" where few trusted cobblers are listed. After contacted the closest one I was told that no repair can be done. The only solution was to resole them (£75). A bit sharp considering how quickly they split and the original price.
I like paying the "made in England" price when the product is right but unfortunately for my first experience, it is not a success.
2 stars for: the email communication and the impression of the good materials used in the shoes.

I ordered a pair of boots, but got the wrong size,so I had to do an exchange....
My local DHL shipper caused a bunch of confusion and we couldn't find the items...
After a few days between customer service and the shipper,everything was taken care of, the boots found and solovair sending me my new boots =)..
Easily some of the best customer service I've worked with... Made me a customer for life .

I love my 11 Eye Derby Boots. I have worn them to work for last 5 years, they look fabulous and I'm so proud that they are made in the England, I get so many comments about them. I recently had an issue with a second pair I bought but this was quickly resolved. The NPS Solovair customer service is absolutely excellent.

I bought a pair of Solovair shoes from Solovair NPS about a year ago, and although the sole unexpectedly broke after that time, their customer service genuinely impressed me. Instead of treating it like “too bad, too late,” they handled the situation quickly and professionally.
They sent me a brand-new pair of soles and even provided enough money to have a cobbler fit them properly. That level of responsibility — especially after a full year — is rare, and it turned what could have been a frustrating experience into a reminder of how good companies stand behind their products.
The shoes themselves are great, and with the new soles fitted, I’m confident they’ll last. But what really stands out is how NPS treated me: fairly, respectfully, and with real commitment to their craftsmanship.
I can wholeheartedly recommend Solovair NPS — not just for their iconic footwear, but for the way they support their customers when something goes wrong.

Excellent customer service. I have bought multiple pairs from Solovair and always been happy. The fit is good but do follow their foot measuring instructions. I usually include insoles for extra comfort.

I've purchased 6 pairs over the last 7 months - 8 hole Cherry red Derby boots, 8 hole black Derby boots, 11 hole Oxblood Derby boots, 11 hole Gaucho Astronaut boots and 11 hole Gaucho Derby boots as a present for my son.

I look after the boots, rotate them regularly, spit and polish the hi shine boots and use quality tree shoes.

Whilst cleaning my black Derby boots I noticed that the stitching had come undone on the heel so took relevant pictures to show that the wear was not excessive and that they had been well maintained.

As this was my first encounter with Solovair customer services I was surprised at the speed and efficiency with which my issue was dealt with and I had a new pair of boots delivered within a week. Although this was a quality issue I would say that all my other pairs meet high standards and although all businesses will have issues to deal with, the experience I have had has given my confidence in the manner in which the company deals with genuine product issues and would thoroughly recommend them.

I appreciate the quality of Solovair/Gripfast footwear, but I no longer trust the colour representation on their website.

This is my second order where the colour received looked very different from the product photos. My Oxblood Hi-Shine boots looked much more brown than the rich oxblood shown online. More recently, I ordered Gripfast Burgundy Rub-Off boots expecting a real burgundy colour, but what I received looks closer to black cherry, almost black.

The construction, comfort and craftsmanship are excellent, but colour accuracy matters, especially at this price. I feel like I was promised one colour and received another, twice.

I own older Gripfast burgundy rub-off boots from around 25 years ago, and their colour is absolutely beautiful, so this new pair was especially disappointing.

Great quality, but I feel misled by the product photos and I do not think I will order again.

The best customer service in the world. When i ordered the wrong size (shipped to Norway!) right before holidays, viv threw herself around and made sure i had the right size the day after! Even before the «wrong pair» was back with them in England. Also, the boots are lovely. Where i am in between sizes with dm, solovair’s half sizes make these perfect for me. Quality also seems better, th.

I'd like to share my excellent experience with Solovair's customer service.

I contacted Solovair regarding my Black Hi-Shine Platform Derby Boots, which were over 1.5 years old. Over time the left boot developed a significant tear in the sole. They replied within a day and immediately offered me a replacement pair as a gesture of goodwill.
This was far beyond my expectations. I honestly thought that, at best, I might be offered a repair. I was even allowed to choose a different model from their range of equal value.

After confirming my shipping address, the replacement order was placed immediately. The package was delivered quickly and safely from Portugal to Germany via DHL Express, and I did not have to pay any shipping costs.

I would especially like to highlight the speed of communication. Almost all of my emails were answered within an hour, which genuinely impressed me.

I am truly grateful for this generous gesture and very impressed by how quickly, professionally, and customer-oriented this matter was resolved.
Besides the excellent quality of their footwear (I originally switched from Dr. Martens to Solovair because of the higher quality), I can highly recommend Solovair for their fairness, customer service, and willingness to stand behind their products.

I had an excellent experience with Solovair and wanted to leave a special thank you to Viv, who went absolutely above and beyond to help me with a return after I had a sizing issue.

Customer service like this is incredibly rare these days. Viv was helpful, responsive, understanding and made the whole process completely stress-free. It really reinforced why Solovair has such a strong reputation, not just for making fantastic boots but for genuinely caring about their customers.

I also had the opportunity to take the guided factory tour in Wollaston and would highly recommend it to anyone interested in quality footwear. Seeing the entire process firsthand gave me a much greater appreciation for the incredible skill, craftsmanship and complexity involved in making a pair of boots. It was a fascinating experience and even more special given that these tours are only scheduled on rare occasions.

The quality of the boots is outstanding and after experiencing this level of service, I can confidently say I’m a customer for life. Thank you again, Viv and the whole Solovair team.

I had a great experience. Viv was amazing. I was ordering some boots to be shipped to Canada and wanted to get sizing correct. I followed the guidelines on the site and Viv helped immensly. They arrived and... fit... PERFECTLY! I love them. Thank you so much to Viv and the team.

First time ordering from Solovair. I saw a lot of praise online and decided to go ahead with an order. I saw a lot of people say to size down, but also that the shipping is quick which helped with sending back if the fit was off. I placed my order June 8th, and received June 16, which is a bit longer than I expected but nothing to complain about in terms of international shipping at all. The problem I had was with the shipping updates. I placed the order, and I got a couple updates about bringing it to the international shipping centre, but after that basically nothing. I’d click the carrier update links provided to me and get redirected to pages that said something along the lines of “Incorrect tracking number or error loading”, and there was around 2-3 different sites provided. The day before the arrival, I got a vague email from a different courier that had no previous updates except for “out for delivery, arriving today”, and that was early in the morning. For the rest of the day I kept an eye out and made sure someone was around to grab it as theft has been an issue before. But that was the 15th and it was out for delivery the whole day and didn’t arrive. The 16th it still said it was out for delivery, but at this point I thought it was lost, but then randomly it arrived in the evening with a delayed update. The plastic surrounding the box was partially ripped, and the box itself looked pretty beaten up. Thankfully nothing on the inside was damaged. The shoes are a bit big, so I should’ve sized down at least half a size more (1 and a half sizes down), but I have stuff I ordered off Amazon to make the fit better because I’d rather not deal with the shipping again. The shoes themselves are beautiful and I can tell will be a favourite part of my wardrobe. I’m just a bit disappointed in the shipping especially after seeing praise online, lack of updates and unorganized in terms of couriers, and also the state the box was in. I assume this isn’t a typical shipping situation, so if anyone reads this and is interested in Solovair I’d say go ahead, but my experience wasn’t as fluid as I expected.
