Mövenpick Zurich airport location is…

Mövenpick Zurich airport location is the worst experience while traveling Europe. I found the evening staff unfriendly. In the morning we find out that unless you make a reservation with the airport shuttle, they will not make any regular pickups. But worst of all, dinner in the restaurant Le Chalet was terrible. The waitress was so rude we had to walk out. I don’t recommend staying there.

A pleasant hotel but a negative experience with the front desk

Stayed at the Mövenpick Hotel, Accra, Ghana in March 2026 and had a mixed experience.

The hotel itself is clean, well-presented, and in a great location—close to main attractions and shops. Facilities like the pool, gym, and sauna are well maintained, although the pool is open to the public and can get quite busy. I was also informed at check-in that there are daily building works between 10am–2pm, which is worth noting if you plan to be in your room during the day.

Unfortunately, I had a negative experience with a front desk staff member during my stay. Four days after check-in, my booking was questioned and I was asked to pay again, despite having paid in full months in advance. The situation was handled poorly—the staff member was dismissive, stated he had never heard of the travel agency (implying there may have been an issue with legitimacy), and did not offer a practical or respectful way to resolve things.

The matter was eventually resolved I assume (as I was not asked to vacate the hotel), and it turned out to be an issue with a virtual card between the hotel and the travel agency—something completely outside of my control. However, what was particularly disappointing was that I never received an apology for the stress and inconvenience caused after said matter from Felix.

The way the situation was handled made me feel uncomfortable and unfairly treated, and it could have been managed with far more professionalism, discretion, and a solution-focused approach.

On a positive note, I’d like to thank Moses from Guest Relations, who was excellent—professional, attentive, and genuinely helpful; and assisted in making the last day feel special. Also, the restaurant staff (Issacs, Mary, Vivian, and Dennis) were fantastic—friendly, welcoming, and provided great service throughout.

Overall, there are definitely positives, but the experience with the front desk did impact my stay as this was my first trip to Ghana and a birthday treat for my 75-year-old Mother too.

From the moment you step into the…

From the moment you step into the hotel, you gain the distinct impression that a different choice might have been wiser. The subtle aroma of wastewater sets the tone nicely, even before the receptionist requests your card as insurance against empty minibar’s potential temptations.

The atmosphere of gentle neglect accompanies you throughout your stay — walls decorated in what appears to be historical paintwork and furniture that has clearly witnessed more optimistic decades. This sense of quiet endurance continues into breakfast, where by 9 AM even the salami seems to have developed a slightly philosophical shade.

Given the hotel’s thoughtful distance from civilisation, dining options are conveniently narrowed down to a €34 Wiener Schnitzel, which arrives with all the confidence of something recently liberated from a freezer and introduced to oil that has seen things, but personnel still waiting for their tips.

And then there is the airport transfer: €27 for the hotel’s service, or about €15 for an ordinary taxi — should one feel adventurous.

Betaald premiumverblijf tijdens beurs – geen dienstverlening & geen compensatie wegens insolventieen recente beursperiode…

Mövenpick Hotel Frankfurt City. Tijdens een recente beursperiode verbleven wij in dit hotel tegen een premiumtarief, specifiek gekozen omwille van de volledige service die werd gecommuniceerd.

Ter plaatse bleek echter dat er door een staking geen normale dienstverlening was:

Geen housekeeping of verse handdoeken
Zeer beperkt ontbijt
Geen mogelijkheid tot lunch, diner of drankje
Algemene service ver onder het niveau dat je van een Mövenpick-hotel mag verwachten

Na onze klacht kregen wij schriftelijk bevestiging dat het hotel zich in een imminente sluiting en insolventieprocedure bevindt. Om die reden werd meegedeeld dat er geen enkele financiële compensatie of terugbetaling mogelijk is, ondanks het feit dat de betaalde diensten niet of slechts gedeeltelijk werden geleverd.

Wij vinden het belangrijk om toekomstige gasten hierover transparant te informeren. Indien u overweegt hier te reserveren (zeker tegen beursprijzen), raden wij aan vooraf grondig te informeren naar de operationele situatie.

Hopelijk helpt deze review andere reizigers om een geïnformeerde beslissing te nemen.

Worst experience I’m staying in movenpick mecca my…

I’m staying in movenpick mecca my checkout is on 7 feb 2026 there were bed bugs in my room bitting me all night and no compensation was made by the hotel management last year there was also a issue if drill noise making it difficult for us to even sit in the room and again no compensation was made by the claimed *5 star hotel* i also posted with videos and photos on google reviews

Keine hundefreien Zimmer ausgewiesen.
Leider konnte man mir nicht sagen, ob es Zimmer gibt, in denen keine Hunde waren.
Ich möchte nicht in einem Zimmer schlafen, in dem vorher Hunde genächtigt haben und so wie ich manche unverantwortlichen Tierbesitzer kenne womöglich mit im Bett geschlafen haben, was diese Klientel auch noch als verbrieftes Recht versteht.
Ich gönne jedem sein Glück, aber ich möchte nicht in einem Hundezimmer schlafen müssen.

So I have come back for the first time…

So I have come back for the first time in over 15 years. There was a significant issue that caused delays in our checking in because we were not happy with the rooms that were supplied by the hotel that was booked by the travel agents. I have to give gratitude and thanks to.Hani in the reception area who worked tirelessly to get replacement rooms sorted. We are beyond grateful that he worked so hard to get this arranged for us as we had a very long day travelling from Mecca.

Alhumdulliah Hani may Allah bless you abundantly for the hard work you have done for us. The hotel does need more investment and renovations.

Very disappointed from Movenpick hotel

We arrived at this hotel and were immediately met with problems. Our room had no hot water, and instead of simply giving us a new one, they sent in their technical staff, who spent nearly two hours trying and completely failing to fix it. Only at 02:00 AM were we moved to another room, which turned out to be far from clean. During our stay, no one bothered to change our sheets while we were out, and we were even given torn towels. Overall, a deeply disappointing experience.

This is not a way to treat clients that choose to stay at your hotel, poor treatment,

We do not recommend this place!

Mövenpick Lalez Albanien

❌❌❌ Mövenpick Lalez – absoluter Reinfall & pure Geldmacherei! ❌❌❌

Dieses Hotel ist eine einzige Enttäuschung und jeden Cent, den man hier bezahlt, nicht wert. Ich habe selten ein angebliches 5-Sterne-Haus erlebt, das so wenig Qualität und Service liefert.

➡️ Check-in / Service: Unfreundlich, gestresst, keinerlei Gastfreundschaft. Man fühlt sich von Anfang an unerwünscht.
➡️ Spa-Bereich: Ekelhaft – Zigarrenstummel zwischen den Liegen! Hygiene gleich null.
➡️ Fitnessraum: Mehrere Geräte kaputt, nicht nutzbar. Für ein „Luxusresort“ einfach nur peinlich.
➡️ Frühstück: Schon ab 7:30 Uhr kalt und unappetitlich, Auswahl schwach und alles lieblos angerichtet.
➡️ Pool-Bar: Dauerhaft geschlossen – null Angebot, null Service.
➡️ Internet: Katastrophal langsam, ständig Abbrüche – absolut unbrauchbar.
➡️ Preis-Leistung: Überteuert bis ins Letzte. Man zahlt 5-Sterne-Preise, bekommt aber nicht mal den Standard eines guten 3-Sterne-Hotels.

💥 Der Gipfel der Frechheit: Beim Check-out wollte man mir einfach 60 € für eine angebliche Gebühr abknöpfen. Auf meine Nachfrage nach einer Rechnung und einer Erklärung hieß es plötzlich, es „passe schon“ und ich solle doch nichts zahlen. Das ist nichts anderes als ein dreister Abzock-Versuch!

👉 Fazit: Dieses Hotel lebt nur vom großen Namen „Mövenpick“, liefert aber in Wahrheit Schmutz, Defekte, schlechten Service und versucht am Ende sogar noch, Gäste auszunehmen. Das grenzt an Betrug und ist in keiner Weise entschuldbar.

⚠️ Warnung an alle: Spart euch Frust, Ärger und euer Geld – das Mövenpick Lalez ist den Preis und den Namen nicht wert. Ich werde definitiv eine Rückerstattung verlangen, denn hier wurde man regelrecht veräppelt.

I am writing this at 2.50 am in the…

I am writing this at 2.50 am in the Movempick hotel in Jeddah. It is the weekend and I was looking forward to a restful nights sleep.

However the hotel have an event on with extremely loud music blaring out so I cannot sleep - and I am two floors above.

The staff couldn’t care less and no respect for your paying guests. I was going to book here again - I will now go to a competitor.

Just awful lack of respect for guests.

Avoid this hotel at all costs

Well they just don’t seem to care at all frightfully experience and they do not even acknowledge or reply to my emails so I am putting the contents on here

This is the third time we have stayed here the first was a problem which I have previously reviewed. The last time before this time it was very hot and the air conditioning was not working in the bar area which made it very unpleasant and we left to go elsewhere. We have eaten in the couscous restaurant once and did not find it good. We have eaten in the bar several times but the quality is not as it should be and they seem to not have many of the items available. Today we had lunch a caeser salad which was full
Of chicken and I ordered cheese with salted biscuits, no biscuits arrived we asked and a couple of straw broken biscuits and some other biscuit just a couple arrived so very disappointed again. This evening I wanted tomato soup but at 7pm they had run out so I asked for two fied eggs. These arrived dripping and running in oil and were stone cold. I returned them and decided I would starve this evening. For what is supposed to be a 5 star hotel I think it is disgusting service and bad quality food. Accor need to get a grip and sort this place out. Does not seem to be very busy so I guess people are realizing and not coming. The only good point is the room we have but globally for what is the complete picture this hotel is grossly overpriced.

I have had no acknowledgement or reply to my below email and I am now adding this.
Yesterday we came back to the hotel about 15.30 extremely tired after businesses commitments. We went to our room a for a couple of hours sleep. This was however impossible with the boom boom music from the swimming pool area. Nice calm music would be in keeping with what is supposed to be a 5 star hotel. The boom boom is nether acceptable or suitable!!
We then came to the bar and I ordered tomato soup which I refused to eat due the very high salt content which us dangerous to mine and anyone else’s health. How a chef in a 5 star hotel produce this is absolutely staggering. We complained to a manager who said he would advise a senior person responsible for this hotel. We are leaving tomorrow and despite being a Accor gold member I don’t feel we will be returning.
I trust that a suitable reduction will be made to our bill to reflect our bad experiences.

Poor service

For a $300 night a hotel, the service doesn’t match the price. Read the 1 star reviews- they match the service I received before even staying at the hotel. I had to contact All Accor to reach them about transportation to the hotel. They kept hanging up and even laughing before hanging up on my travel agent. As a solo traveler visiting Egypt, this is unsettling. After my already scheduled stays I will no longer be staying at an All Accor location. I travel for a living and have stayed at a much lower price points for a significantly better experience.

Best vacation ever!

This was our first holiday, as a family with children, at this hotel (Mövenpick 6th of October) in Cairo! We all ENORMOUSLY enjoyed the service, quality, food, facilities, and pools. The staff here have a super high level of hospitality and professionalism! Security was also top-notch under the leadership of Mr. Ahmed Nawar. We felt like we had absolutely no need to worry about our children or belongings. The reception staff gave us a warm welcome, especially Rawan, who was always there for us. Furthermore, the room was perfectly clean thanks to housekeeping by Emad from cluster 16. He was super friendly and flexible and always provided top-notch service!

We truly enjoyed ourselves for 10 days, so we wanted to share our experience in detail and highly recommend it!

Bu otel, Movenpick adını kullanarak insanları yanıltıyor. Geldiğimiz andan itibaren yaşadıklarımız tam bir rezalet:

Yemekler: Kötü kelimesi az kalır. Lezzetsiz, bayat ve hijyen açısından endişe verici. Aç kalmamak için yemek yiyorsunuz, keyif almak mümkün değil.
Temizlik: Oda temizliği diye bir hizmet yok. Günlerce çarşaf değiştirilmedi, çöpler alınmadı. 5 yıldız değil, 1 yıldız bile fazla.
Personel ve Servis: İlgisiz, umursamaz ve profesyonellikten tamamen uzak. Sorun söylediğinizde “hallederiz” deyip asla çözmüyorlar.
Genel Deneyim: Hayatımda gördüğüm en kötü tatil deneyimi. Ödediğiniz her kuruş boşa gidiyor. Movenpick markasıyla alakası olmayan, tamamen hayal kırıklığı yaratan bir işletme.
Tatil yapmak isteyenlere kesinlikle uzak durun diyorum. Antalya’da çok daha kaliteli, temiz ve misafirperver oteller varken buraya gelmek paranızı ve zamanınızı çöpe atmaktır.

Blatant discrimination

I would like to submit a formal complaint about the Movenpick Dead Sea in Jordan. As a local I have always had a pleasant experience until this year. I was confiscated my JBL speaker upon arrival being informed that it’s not allowed as it disturbs guests only to find a foreigner guest allowed his speaker! I was told that they must have ‘missed it’ upon security check which is impossible because they x Ray all bags. Then I was told he was allowed it because he is hard of hearing. Finally I was told that they were mistaken and they should have taken it from him. I was absolutely shocked at these 3 statements knowing that no where in the T&Cs that I will be confiscated any of my tech! I sincerely hope that such a thing doesn’t happen again. It was absolutely a terrible experience to be lied to and knowing they purposely took mine away because I am a local resident.

As a family of 4 adults

As a family of 4 adults, we stayed in the Oceanfront villa in Hua Hin Thailand. Lovely villa with 2 separate rooms and joint area with front sandy beach area, plunge pool, table with loungers & sunbeds. Villa was spacious & kept well cleaned by our lovely cleaner Taew .Breakfast was a reasonable selection, staff were ok and one chap( sorry can't remember his name, could be Pau? ) in particular very attentive remembering us after we had stayed afew days. Hotel was overall clean, set in a lovely garden setting. It isn't as central as we would have liked needing to get a taxi or tuk tuk to get into the centre and nothing outside to just walk to except the 7/11. We did have afew issues during our stay like our toilet leaking all over the floor but this was dealt with promptly once our cleaner arrived. We didn't have any English channels except news, when we asked about this was at first fobbed off, only when in conversation mentioned to main manager did someone add afew more. We have travelled to Thailand many times especially Hua Hin area but our first time staying here. Although we had a pleasant time do feel that this hotel isn't 5 star. It for us seems to be missing those little nice extras we have had in other 5 star hotels like attentive staff, flowers, chocolates, fruit bowls upon arrival. We would have expected this, especially baring in mind we stayed in one of the only 2 villas of this type & after seeing videos on you tube of others getting such treatments when staying in regular rooms. Overall we did have a pleasant stay despite the lack of above and stains in bathroom, lumpy bed, worn wooden sunbeds. The Thai people in resort are such lovely people which is what makes us travel back but will be staying in our good old favourite Grand Centara villas once their renovations are complete or Cape Nihra.
