Made me some varifocals which were useless except for distance vision intermediate and close up were no good at all I complained to them and they re-made them but the second pair were even worse than the the 1st ones so it took about 2 months to just waste a lot of money they are ok for ordinary distance glasses but not varifocals but they used to be okay before they shut down a few years ago I think somebody else must have bought the name and re opened the business

First time using this company. I was very impressed with the quality & price of my glasses. Communication with the team was excellent. I made a mistake on colour of frame & to get it changed was no problem.
I most certainly would recommend low cost glasses to my family & friends.

I ordered varifocals from Low Cost Glasses in December 2024. I was a bit daunted about ordering online, although the option to virtually “try on” different frames was very helpful. I’m very grateful to the customer service staff who checked my prescription and who were prompt and patient in responding to my questions. The glasses arrived within a couple of weeks and are perfect and excellent value for money, especially as I needed to upgrade the lenses due to the strength of my prescription. I’d definitely order again in the future.

Arrived three weeks after I ordered my new distance and reading glasses both are excellent. They perfect my vision after having two cataracts done. Very happy with these, particularly considering the price. I have just ordered to more pairs with different frames.

Ordered a pair of varifocals, took ages to arrive. It has some flaws in lenses, and I cannot wear these glasses continuously for more than an hour being poorly designed, though I ordered their premium range . I am a regular user of varifocals glasses. Raised this issue with LCG customer service and even after the laps of many weeks, no response from them as yet. Avoid this company at all costs.

Promises of reasonable delivery time comprehensively broken. Wow! Is this really happening in the ultra-advanced high-tech UK?

Ordered on the 6th of December and registered on their website as "In production," almost immediately. Was that a lie? It is now the 22nd of December - and the status is unchanged.

Is there usually a rush on glasses for Christmas, or is this an inept company? Perhaps I should order my Santa glasses for next year...

Bought a pair but within 3 months the arm came off. I thought maybe it was a one off so ordered a second pair. The same happened again within 3 months.Was informed that I couldn’t not get a refund as been 3 months or slightly over. They only broke on the 3rd month-maybe faulty/design fault. I got offed 40% off for a pair which I am declining. Really disappointed. I ordered the glasses as was hoping to save cash compared to other places and no have to pay put £50 for repairs somewhere else. Avoid at all costs. I will not order from here again, rip off.

Two years ago lowcost glasses sent me a pair of unusable unfocused glasses and when I returned them they put it wright. Skip forward 2 years, ordered glasses again thinking previous experience may be a one off? Not a chance! Exactly same issue again. This time there arguing and will not help. I ordered a pair of glasses from selectspecs at the same period and same prescription as lowcost, they arrived over a week earlier than lowcost and they where perfect.

I also think given the cost of the postage with no tracking option during delivery?? Is a rip off and there making profit from postage. The cost of the item weight and size is well over priced from my checks!
I believe they are sending out unfinished and unmanaged lenses in the hope that some may not complain given the cost. Whilst also making profit from the delivery which should never be the case!

If you don't want the pain in the head of dealing with these people for what are also very flimsy plastic frames and terrible quality? I would seriously heed my words.

I will go on fighting to get my refund and return tese unusable glasses and will go back to selectspecs for my second pair.

By from lowcost? Waisted your money waiste your time, you have been warned.

I do like my new glasses, but found the frames really tight about my ears. I was going to send them back but when I read the small print it says no refunds or returns unless faulty or damaged, does not include fit issues! Do be warned to read the small print!

Having “boasted” to a friend that I had bought a number of excellent pairs of varifocal glasses at about a quarter of my optician’s price, I resolved to get him a pair using his post cataract treatment prescription using the 50% off offer! The selection and specification stages went well, but a small hiccup in the payment process caused a little delay AND I missed putting the discount code in!!! Oh well my mistake, nevertheless I got them at 5th of the high street price rather than a 10th. They arrived promptly and are in constant use!

I was dissatisfied with my glasses when they came because the sides were distorted. However, after contacting the company they replaced my glasses straight away with no quibble. Excellent service and my glasses were approximately 150 to 200 percent cheaper than the shops.

I have ordered several pairs over a period of time and have extremely happy with them and have always been of a high standard at a a good affordable price

I ordered 2 pairs of varifocals, ordering and delivery was quick and easy however when glasses arrived I was unable to wear either pair. I had my eyes tested by boots and ordered one pair from them, they were great but expensive therefore I ordered back up pairs from low cost glasses but I am unable to wear them as the varifocal is too harsh. I followed up with low cost glasses late and was told as prescription was correct and outside 5 months they would not do anything about it. I have wasted my money and am very disappointed with both quality of lenses and customer service

I’ve bought four pairs of glasses now, two different frames and various coatings and prescriptions. All have been as ordered and although a long lead time to delivery they arrived within the expected timeframe. I’ll happily consider ordering further pairs in the future

Bought on a 50% off offer, as a spare pair, so great value. Appear well made. Prescription spot on, in fact can see better with these than existing glasses. Recommended
