I like how you can find a family to take care of that fits around your own schedule rather than working a fixed working pattern

I've worked with Koru Kids in the past back in London and honestly there's not much that's changed since working with another family again, the app is a lot smoother! It's a nice way to help families out while they work.

My after school nanny was fantastic - reliable, fun and playful with our three young kids, and a good communicator with us. Koru Kids made everything simple, from finding our nanny (the first person we messaged too!), to sorting contracts and all the monthly payroll - which from our previous experience is usually a complete faff. Felt supported all the way.

These people just take alot of money from families, no support for the staff. Just on missing an interview call they will block the account even without listening the reason that it's your fault or not, or the family changed the time and didn't made it from their end, nothing for staff support. Even though they will not reply to the emails.

Very easy to sign up and post a nanny job. There are really good suggestions on what to include in the job post. It’s easy to use the website, very user friendly.
For answering to applicants, there are default messages that makes it easy to handle lots of messages. All steps of hiring a nanny is well included in the process and are taken care of by koru kids. The only recommendation is to level babysitters better. There are babysitters with none or a little experience that have same rate as very experienced ones.

Easy to use and well structured to guide you through. Short term contracts over holidays a bit more difficult to navigate but sorted out with a call to customer services.

I was very happy with Koru Kids services. I thought they were very easy to use and their help line always available for advices. it also made having a nanny on a payroll doable from a financial stand-point and easy to do. Overall strongly recommend!

We've employed 3 nannies through Koru Kids and had mixed experiences with each, but overall would recommend using the service.

Our first nanny only lasted a week, as she tried to serve the kids raw chicken and slacked off on her phone during shifts.

Our second nanny was incredible - she was organised, kept boundaries, got on fabulously with the kids, and helped us through some really difficult personal circumstances.

Our third nanny is sufficient and great at playing with the kids but isn't quite as organised and proactive with household tasks as we need (which we make very clear will be necessary in our job advert and at interview).

In summary, I think if you are very clear with yourself and prospective nannies what you are looking for, you can find some real gems, but don't expect that anyone you speak to will suit your needs. You definitely need to do a lot of digging to find the right fit for you and not all nannies on the platform are to the same standard.

I think Koru Kids works well for students who can work as after school nannies and helps families find suitable people for this that you wouldn't be able to reach otherwise.

The app is easy to use, they're very quick to respond to any issues, and we've never had any issues with billing or contracts. To get the extra star, I'd want them to vet nannies a bit more thoroughly or offer more thorough training on how to be organised, etc but appreciate there is only so much they can do.

I have used Koru regularly for the last 5 years to help me find reliable after school care. I have always had good quality nannies, both male and female, and never had any problems. The process is simple and takes away the admin element and I have confidence that all NI and tax etc is handled for me. Whenever I have queries, I get quick responses and matters resolved.

We had a very positive experience with Koru Kids. We found a lovely nanny through the platform. It was easy to use, guiding us through the interview and onboarding process and doing all the admin (including payroll, pensions etc) for us. I would recommend Koru Kids as an easy to use and flexible option for busy parents!
