1 star because it shippped

1 star because it shippped. Wouldn’t be surprise if this company had a several pending lawsuits for unethical business practices..this company needs to be boycotted and shut down for this many negative reviews. I wish I read these reviews first before spending my hard earned money.. if you can avoid purchasing from here, please do unless you want endless problems..I’m personally telling everybody I know to never shop here for anything no matter what..shut them down. how could a company continue to run like this unless it has absolutely no care for it customers. My story is they pulled this “double charge” method like they’re seem to be gettin away with everybody. Journeys thinks it’s fair practice to (hold) money you have for a purchase in your bank account. they claim they want to make sure we have the funds in our bank, however they come back and charge again( the same amount as the initial charge) once your item ships..how about if we have the funds take it then and if we don’t have it deny the purchase just like everybody else. Don’t see the science behind that besides them wanting it to appear to be bringing in more money than they actually are to their shareholders. Double charging everybody will definately make it seem like thier business is doing better than they actually are. These reviews seem to share the real story of journeys and how they operate. Surprisingly for me the shipping was smooth. I got the item in a timely manner but it’s been over a week since my initial charge was taken and they’re still holding it. Also blaming it on Apple Pay when Apple Pay has a direct deposite system where there is no wait once the money is released. Customer service was called several times was no help at all. Unexcepable.

No refund for lost package

If i can give negative review rate i will !
Reported lost package last nov 29 to them and Fedex. Yes, it was delivered but placed on top of mailbox, an open area. So when my daughter got home it wasnt there anymore after wks , journeys email her saying they cant refund coz accdg to FedEx it was delivered.
1st , it was delivered yes, but lost it coz of fedex negligence placing it on an open area!
2nd. We dont care if Fedex denied the claim. We are not asking the refund to them. We are asking journey coz they are the seller. We bought it to them. JOURNEY should take responsibility.
We will not stop till we get the refund. Planning to file complaint to california consumer act or to any govt agency if refund not made .
Never will do business with Journeys anymore

Terrible customer service all around

Terrible customer service all around. They advertise an item as being on sale, then I couldn’t get the code to work. Messaged customer service days ago and didn’t get a response. Tried another method just for the customer service rep to tell me that they are not responsible for things being advertised incorrectly. I guess they like losing business. Terrible!

I would give them zero stars if I…

I would give them zero stars if I could. I purchased an item online. Paid through Apply pay on a Friday morning and they took the money out of my account right away as usual. I picked up the item Saturday. Tuesday morning I see that they were trying to charge me again. I called them and they said they hold the amount in case the payment doesn’t go through. 3 days they said. I have never had a company do this. They got the payment. You cannot make online payments without making a payment. Terrible business practices. They have lost a customer. I will never order from here again and will tell others as well.

Awful customer service

Awful customer service. Someone stole my package from my door step and they refused to send out another package or refund me my money. FedEx delivered the package several days early (so I was not expecting it) and just left the package on the front steps for people to steal. Journeys is awful and I will not be ordering from them again.

I was talking to a representative when…

I was talking to a representative when I was placing an order they told me if I placed the order my things would get her by Christmas. I still haven’t gotten a emailing about anything. When I called customer service they told me
My order wasn’t going to get here before Christmas. If they would of given me the right information I would of NEVER placed the order

Faulty website!

Tried placing an order online using Apple Pay because my wallet wasn’t close by. It claims payment wasn’t completed but it emptied my cart as if my order went through. I also received a notification about a pending charge from my Apple Pay as if my order went through. Checked my email, nothing from Journey’s about an order. So I called customer service explaining the situation, she then says “Oh yeah we’ve been having a lot of issues with Apple Pay and the website canceling the orders. I suggest you use your debit or credit card and try to place the order again.” I told her Apple Pay needs to be removed as an option to use on the website and excuse me no I will not so I can have 2 pending charges in my account! She said well we can’t control how the website process authorizations with an attitude! I hung up because I was done talking to her! I used to love Journeys but I will no longer order from them! There shouldn’t be pre authorizations as if I’m getting gas at a gas pump it’s ridiculous!!!

Completely lying about delivery date and holding my money hostage.

I placed an online order. Order details and email said "Delivery: 3-5 Business Days". It is day 8 and my order has still not even shipped. They would not let me cancel and said that I have to wait to receive the order and then take it in person to a Journey's store to receive a refund. Terrible experience.

Only one shoe came, they canceled my order with no communication!

I'm not one to normally write negative reviews but am so disappointed and want others to know my experience before purchasing things that need to be shipped. The customer service I received instore was wonderful - 5 stars. However, the process of ordering and shipping to my house has been terrible. I ordered a pair of birkenstocks on the 22nd of November. I received a box on the 29th that was beat up and only had one shoe in it. It wasn't even the correct color or size. I was told the fastest way to handle this was to go in store and return them and reorder. That's what I did. I was told they had 8 left in stock so I took care of it the same day. 11 days later and I still haven't received the shoes. I contacted customer service through text (a nice service offered) and was told that my order was canceled on the 4th of December due to being out of stock. I was not notified about the cancelation, never recieved an email with my order number either. To top it all off instead of just sending me a refund on the debit card I used, they have started the process of sending a me a check that will take 2-3 weeks to recieve. Now I'm out $175 two weeks before Christmas and had to find somewhere else to order my daughters big gift. I will never order anything from journey again. I was also told if I had notified them by the 7th they could have changed my refund to put it back on debit card. Again, I never received any notification about the cancelation otherwise I would have taken care of it the day it was canceled!

I should have looked at reviews of…

I should have looked at reviews of Journey's before I ordered something from them. The whole process has been problematic from the get-go. I placed the order for a pair of Vans and received a confirmation email telling me it will ship soon. I hear nothing for ten days, so I call and they tell me that its just sitting in a store in Charlotte, NC. Finally, after 3 weeks, I get the shoes... they are too big. So I initiate return. They tell me they will charge $8 to return them, and it will likely be 4 weeks before I get a replacement pair. Its safe to say I will NOT be ordering from Journey's ever again.

Great customer service from salesperson ,Ramses! Such a nice young man , so patient, polite, & helpful. They didn’t have my daughter’s size but he ordered them online for me. The young lady at the register who was assisting Ramses ( bc he was new) was also amazing. Both of these employees were professional and accommodating. We would definitely shop again at Journey’s Jersey City ( 1265). I think Ramses will have a successful employment there.

CHARGE TWICE BY JOURNEYS

i ORDERED 2 PAIRS OF SNEAKERS ON 10/4/2023. MONEY CAME OFf my card and all was normal. i noticed today Journeys took another 132 off my card. so at this time the 132.00 they took when i placed the order is pending and the additional money they tapped my card for today has posted. how does this make sense. customer service is a joke. i was basically told when you order they do a soft auth then a hard charge when the item ships. I asked the rep how that makes sene. basically you are charging ppl twice. the pending charge should posted and that it. i will never shop with them again. its fraud honestly. now i have to wait 12 days for the pending charge to release.

Zero stars!

I took my daughter into the store in Wisconsin dells on August 25th. It was her birthday and she really wanted a pair of Converse shoes. They didn't have her size so we ordered the item there and had it shipped to our house. The first item we received were the wrong shoes. They sent me a return label to send back the wrong shoes and they said that they would send out the correct shoes immediately. I sent the shoes back within 2 days, and they never sent out the correct shoes. We waited for 2 weeks. I called them they apologized and promised me that they would send them expedited shipping and we would receive them within one to two days. Four days later and we still have not received the shoes, again! I called there again and they said they had no record of me ever calling in to have the shoes sent out and they were still wondering when I was going to return the original pair. I explained to the person what was going on and told them that it has been almost a month. That I would just like my money back. They said they couldn't help me with that, so I asked for someone higher up. They told me there was no supervisor that I could talk to, and the only thing they could do is put in my order number to the escalation unit. That it would take them three business days to contact me back by email and that even if they did approve my refund. It would be sent back by a check. I won't hold my breath on that. What a joke! I will never order anything from journeys ever again!

Do not purchase anything you do not…

Do not purchase anything you do not physically have in your hands. I went into our local store, ordered and paid for a pair of shoes for ship to home through the associate at the store. The company cancelled my order the next day by e-mail. It has been 3 weeks, several e-mails and phone calls, and I have not received my refund. I will never do business with a company that blatantly steals money from unwitting customers. Never again.

Ordered my Fila white leather shoes and…

Ordered my Fila white leather shoes and got them in 3 days on 9/7/2023 very good and both shoes matching and size 9 ..I would suggest Journeys online shoe shopping

Not reliable

They canceled my order and did not even send me an email. So I had to reach out to them asking where my order was. They said it was canceled due to being "out of stock" but it is available in all their stores nearby, so it was definitely possible to complete my order if they had any level of customer service. All they had to say was "We really do apologize for this matter".

I’m not a person to write reviews…

I’m not a person to write reviews however I ordered a pair of shoes and a shirt from Journeys Ca. Shortly after Journeys sent me an email stating “ We're sorry to inform you that your payment for your Journeys order xxxxxxxxxxx was declined. To provide a new payment method, please call us at (855) 211-2349”. Please note the money for the order was taken out of my account including an additional $22. I replied to the email— no response. I called the number provided— representative wasn’t the greatest. They had also told me that I would receive a cancellation email. I have yet a reply from Journeys and a cancellation or confirmation email. I have never had any problems with Journeys Ca until now and I feel as if I was scammed from Journeys Ca as I got no response or my money back. I don’t recommend ordering from their site. Use an alternative such as Boathouse.

Worst customer service ever

Bought vans shoes for our 10 year old. He wore them 2 days. Soles are literally ripping off the shoe. Journeys says this is 'normal wear and tear', and they cannot exchange them. He wore them for 2 days! Shameless profiteering at this store, no regard for their own customers. I am embarrassed that I ever thought to shop there.
