Horrible experience
This is about the Calgary south centre location. Coverse shoes about 6 months old and the soles on one of them is totally falling apart. Not in rough condition it’s obviously a defect. The person at the store agreed. Wouldn’t do anything and couldn’t even tell me what I should do. Pathetic

Don't order off journeys save yourself the hassle as well as stress
Don't order off journeys, avoid it at all costs I've bought shoes in person a few years ago and expected no issues with ordering online. Additionally I placed an order it would take my info and then the website would get an error saying my order didn't go through (this happened three times) as well as making a different account.. I gave up and ordered the shoes off another website the next morning, I check my banking info and journeys withdrew $201 I contacted customer service was waiting for 30 mins and the guy picked up spoke to me and as I spoke I'd like to cancel my order and voiced my concern about the website crashing I was put on hold so the person could "see" what he could do about the cancellation..he cut the call on me after leaving me on hold for additional 30 more mins. Furthermore I call back and wait an hour and the next lady that helps me is nicer.. but tells me my shoes are going to come in before the end of august.. which is a lie because after waiting for so long I contact journeys again and am told my shoe won't be coming until September 10th I find this outrageous as well as the website practically scamming me by saying it didn't process when it in fact did THREE times and kept saying error it didn't process and having to cancel multiple orders which I didn't even get a confirmation email or text regarding any of these orders. stay away from journeys as much as you can I wouldn't recommend this to anyone I'd give zero stars if I could. order off DSW or other more reliable shoe stores DSW gave me 10% off for my next order just because I had trouble cancelling the order with the same shoe and journeys messed up on their end and I only got a "sorry that happened" after all this stress and chaos they've caused me.

Journeys with holding money from voided transaction and clerk error
After horrific experience see previous review they finally admit they had messed up refund and reversed it from happening. Took double the time and constant gas lighting from Journeys blaming my bank as the issue. Daily calls to bank proved it was journeys. The territory manager who said he would work on getting me a gift card for the awful experience went silent and never followed through. Buy anywhere but from this company and remember Little burgundy is also owned by them

Poor order fulfillment-no follow-up
I ordered Aug 4,2024. It is Aug 18 as I’m writing this and my order hasn’t arrived. I asked assistance from their chat support and I ended up wasting my time and got nothing. Take note, i ordered 3 amounting to over $400. Order somewhere else, don’t even waste your money and time buying for journeys.

Deserves ZERO stars. Poor customer service. Incompetent people picked the order and sent a shoe a full size up higher than the requested 9.5. Jumping through complete hoops to get a solution. They wasted my time, money, and energy due to their lack of concern while picking the order. RUN for the hills and order elsewhere!!!

My package with 2 pairs of shoes for my kids for back to school was “delivered” to the wrong house. A house that isn’t mine. I told their customer service this and they continued to tell me I’m basically SOL. I will be doing a dispute through my bank. A picture of a package on the ground by a wall is not considered “proof” of delivery. I would have been fine with a redelivery. But now they will no longer get a penny from me & I spend hundreds here a year.

Update: I have already called in to corporate I sent the shoes back per request. Still as of today I do not have any shoes. I have called everyday & nothing one person told me they would be expedited then I was told they couldn’t do that. I’m so mad I still have no update my daughter has been in school 3 weeks and still has no shoes.If I ever get these shoes I will never order from journeys again the 1st shoe was ordered July 30th & we still have nothing ). I have order a Birkenstock and receive the wrong shoe 3 times I’m not sure who is working in these stores but this is awful. These shoes were for my daughter back to school I’m clearly going to stop buying shoes from this place. I have called the corporate office and all they can do is issue me a return sticker and have to reorder them. This is really bad customer service. I understand a mistake but 3 times is a little much.

ASCO! hice dos compras una de ellas me llego y hice otra para un regalo y no se donde la entregaron , hablo con ellos le pido mi rembolso o los productos me hacen esperar 15 dias y me dicen que no me van a dar ninguna opcion ni dinero y ni producto. que fedex entrego y me envian la foto, donde no se donde entrego? estoy con la queja directa al banco es imposible que ellos se nieguen ayudar. No volvere a comprar con ellos me parece politicas muy malas al cliente. Pesimo.
DISGUSTING! I made two purchases, one of them arrived and I made another for a gift and I don't know where they delivered it. I spoke to them and asked for my refund or the products. They made me wait 15 days and they told me that they weren't going to give me any option, neither money nor product. That FedEx delivered and they sent me the photo, where I don't know where it was delivered? I am complaining directly to the bank, it is impossible for them to refuse to help. I will not buy from them again. It seems to me to have very bad policies towards the customer. Terrible.

Package lost/or stolen and 0 compensation offered.
I placed an online order on the Journey's website for an order total of $368.38. 2 pairs of adult shoes and 1 pair of children's shoes. I never received an order confirmation through email although my credit card was charged. I screenshotted my order screen and the order number given to me never worked in their system. When I got a day off work I contacted them and was told it was delivered, I told them I never received a confirmation email, an email with tracking info and asked why my order number didn't work when looking it up. They agreed that my order number didn't work and although it was dropped off in front of my door, in a hallway with many other tenants, they refused to open an investigation to try and find out what happened. This is not considered safely delivered, a signature would have helped greatly or to leave at the depot if noone is home. They aren't offering any type of compensation even after bringing up the Ontario's Consumers Protection Act. According to this law, since I did not receive my package, they should have offered either reshipment or a refund. I will make a complaint to the Ontario Ministry of Government and Consumer Services.
Edit* I responded to their response below and have been completely ignored. Don't be fooled by their kind responses as it's just for them to appear good.

AWFUL customer service. Like unbelievable levels of awful. FedEx said my package was delivered. The picture was not my house. I contacted journeys about it and they said that because FedEx said it was delivered, they couldn’t do anything. Contacted customer service through phone, first agent said the same thing. I asked to speak to a supervisor who immediately offered to launch an investigation. I asked why this wasn’t offered by the previous two people I spoke to, and she said that’s just their policy. She said it would take 9-12 business days to investigate, then IF it was approved I’d be submitted for a refund. I find it crazy that as a customer, they expect me to wait for them to launch a half month investigation before I can even be approved for a refund. The dispute should be between FedEx and Journeys, not the customer. I ended up just filing a dispute with my credit card company instead. They said it would take 2-3 business days to process. Crazy how much more quickly they can “investigate”.

Don’t shop online
Terrible customer service. If you order online and don’t receive your package due to the carrier, you’re out of luck. They will not resend it or give you a refund. Employees on phone told me it wasn’t their problem. As a business, it absolutely is your problem if your CUSTOMER WHO PAID does not receive their merchandise.

Journeys is SCAMMING you!!!!!!
I think that Journeys sends two pair so you will have to pay fees to send them back. Their system randomly sent an additional pair of shoes and I tried to cancel the order. They wouldn't let me! And now I have to pay $15+ in fees. Don't order from them!

Ordered from the website and I received one shoe in a box. I contacted the store on the website in email, chat and on Facebook and I could send photos from the site and had to send them through email after being contacted. I was told in chat and email that I’d get an email on 7/11 to tell me what’s going on or to be notified that the other shoe was mailed. No contact. I wish I could post photos and the interaction through email but THIS site doesn’t allow it.
I know customers can be rude and that working in a store can be hectic but it seems so careless that someone did not look into the box they picked up from the picker to the cashier or packer. That was such a careless mistake that caused anxiety and frustration. The average worker doesn’t care about it because they aren’t losing a customer and they aren’t losing money. They still get paid. To make this worse, no one ever contacted me after I got an email saying I’d be contacted on 7/11. …..me off so bad I took all four pair of shoes back and I won’t shop at Journeys. Mess like this make you want to just go to a mall so you can get what you want, have it and move on. I also had to email different places because I couldn’t get through to the number provided online

Ridiculous that when we want to return…
Ridiculous that when we want to return an item out of 3 they want the client to do a form when there's a recipet with all the info and order number in the box and ship it back ourselves with a carrier ..I never had to do this with any shoes store or anything I have to return to resend it with out own carrier and spend 20 $ for a return journeys shoes sucks for this and I'm in a neighbor province in top if it ... never will i shop this company making us work for them to send back an item

I ordered my XX-HI Chuck Taylor Converse in BLACK but received white. The two ladies I spoke to at Journeys direct customer service number were wonderful, but unfortunately nothing can be done, and I will not be getting the shoes I actually ordered. My local store had me on hold for 35 minutes before I gave up and hung up.

Wrong color sent
Ugh, wish I would have checked reviews before ordering! Ordered black knee high converse for my daughter's birthday. They sent white ones and their chat and phone on their website go nowhere. I sent an email but no answer yet. I called local store and the girl on the phone was wonderful but they don't have any black right now...just a pair of white ones that someone else returned from an online order that was also supposed to be black!! Never again!

I ordered shoes online for prom, they sent THE WRONG BOOTS. Customer Service said she could go to a store to exchange for the correct boots (2 hours away, she would have to leave school early because prom is this weekend) or they would send a FedEx label (FedEx does not pickup in the mountain area she lives) to exchange them and give us a $10 off a $50 purchase (THIS IS THE CODE ON THE WEBSITE BANNER). Moving up the line from customer service to supervisor to manager, Melvina, she says the something. Your warehouse sent the wrong shoes! After over an hour on the phone, she says I will refund $30. WOW $30 for your mistake, now the shoes don’t match the dress for prom. I even told her overnight the correct boots and I would pay half the price of the correct ones, so she has boots that go with her dress for prom. Nope $30 ONLY - good to know that if Journeys warehouse ships the wrong shoes the only thing, they will do is $30 refund after spending over one hour with the manager and going through all the recording, speaking to customer service, supervisor, and senior manager. $30 is the best they can do, oh wait they can give you the website banner code for $10 off a $50 purchase. THANKS JOURNEY! Guess you lost a customer.
