WARNING!! DO NOT BUY FROM JOURNEYS ONLINE!! Journeys completely ruined my daughter's Christmas, what they did should be illegal!! I ordered the Ugg's Tassman Slippers , weeks ago, they had stock, along with other places , I unfortunately chose JOURNEYS , they accepted my order, took my money and a few days ago I got a text msg saying my order is canceled! Without any explanation, I still have not even been refunded, after spending hours with customer service, I got a sorry explanation that there was high traffic during my purchase and they did not have the stock and said this happens quite often!!! So they screw people on the regular without regard !!! I know it's a pair of shoes but my daughter won't understand why she doesn't have her most wanted Christmas gift! I also could have ordered them elsewhere at that time as there was stock and now is sold out everywhere, unless ur paying triple , I am not! The sheer audacity and disregard is embarrassing to such a big company especially around Christmas time. JOURNEYS YOU HAVE LOST 1 LOYAL CUSTOMER ! FIX YOUR STUPID SYSTEMS AND STOP BREAKING LITTLE KIDS HEARTS !!!!!

I honestly cant remember going through a worse retail experience. Journeys takes the cake - please do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere.
I ordered a pair of boots for my GF for Xmas. This was on 12/14.
I received an error at check out that said "Were sorry there was issue processing your order" OK, no problem..so I tried again. I got the same message.
Just to make sure there wasn't any recent fraud on my checking account which might have caused me to have insufficient funds I check my bank account only to find that Journeys placed 2 ACH holds on my account for both transactions totaling $442.
I got online with their Chat support who told me my order didn't pass their "3rd party fraud verification" - fair, but then why hold the funds if your system deemed my transaction to be fraud?? Why not just decline the transaction??
I was then told Id have to wait 3-5 days for the hold to be released . Here we are day 5 and they still have not given me the funds back.
I went again to their online chat and was told to wait until the end of the day today (the 5th day of the "3-5 days" they quoted me)
I said "what actions should I take if the funds aren't placed back in my account by the end of the day" and they said "just chat us back " then disconnected the chat as if they would have a different solution than apologizing and doing absolutely nothing about it.
How is a company allowed to get away with this nonsense?? THEIR system deemed my order to be fraud - great I can appreciate the security measures however, how can you justify declining an order and then holding on to $400+ of a customers money for a week?? Be better. Your systems and processes are terribly flawed and your customer support is trash. I've been in que with phone support for 23mins and have yet to speak to someone.

Never buy from Jorneys. I made a purchase. It didn't fit I took it back to the store. I got full credit for it and bought another. That was more than then the first one I paid full price for item in the store then when the item shipped i got charged again. Nobody even told them they could even touch anything in my bank account. And they still did without even asking. So I got charged double. And they overdrawn my account without even telling me. And don't wanna help me pay the $27 charge. That's ridiculous, don't buy from journeys.

i went shopping at journeys in the palisades mall and had the greatest experience! coco was my sales rep. she went above and beyond to assist my father and i. i will definitely be back.

I have ordered from them for years. I made a order lastnight and was charged last night woke up today was charges again. I called customer service they told me its a holding fee and would be given back in 3-5 days i was never aware they where going to do that and customer service basically told me nothing could be done and i had to wait to get my money back. Dont order online they will charge your accounts for whatever amount they want!!!

I bought men shoes in october (90$). After less than one month of unintensive use (1 or 2 days a week), lthe material of the shoes is torn in places. I contacted customer services to have a refund or a replacement . First, they ask few details like adress to help. But eventually after 3 weeks of recovery, they They indicate that there is no major defect even though the shoes are borderline good for the trash and it is more than 30 days after purchase. They therefore offer a $10 voucher to be used on a minimum purchase of $75... To be avoided, dishonest and unprofessional. Very poor quality products

Worst experience I have ever had…
Worst experience I have ever had online. First they charge me 2x the amount of the shoes. And proceed to tell me that’s how it works 🤦♂️ the put a hold apparently then charge separately and you get the hold back in 3-5 business days.(we will see fingers crossed.) and then the shoes come and they sent the wrong ones. Now I have to either go to journeys or fed ex to return the pair they messed up and I was double charged for before they send the other one out? And just hope my money goes back on. Btw the transactions were already cleared through the bank, so I’m sure I’ll be calling again in 3-5 days. Wtf is wrong with this company? Never again!!!! Don’t do it!!!

I’m a regular shopper at journeys. I needed customer service for the first time today and it was horrible. The agent couldn’t wait to end the conversation and kept rushing me. I ended up not getting any help. I’ll no longer be shopping at journeys.

ZERO COMMUNICATION
I ordered a pair of the Dr. Martens x Wednesday Jadon boots on Oct. 26.
I never received any emails notifying me that they had been back ordered. I had to reach out via chat three times to find out that information.
Then they cancelled the order - and NO email notification. I again had to reach out via chat to find that out.
I’m glad I’ve never given Journey’s a lot of business - but now it will be none.

BEWARE OF RETURNING ITEMS: JOURNEYS WILL SCAM YOU
SCAM ALERT. I returned a pair of shoes to Journeys in PERFECT condition. The shoes did not leave my house and were tried on ONE TIME INDOORS then placed back in the box and sent back on September 6. I did not hear anything regarding the return until November 12 where they issued me a gift card. Upon asking for a refund to the original payment method, they claimed the shoes were received damaged. This is impossible. Every person I have spoken to or chatted with states nothing can be done. Feels entirely like a scam as the items were NOT damaged in any way, shape, or form. They refuse to send photos of the condition the item arrived in. This is absolutely unacceptable. Horrible horrible horrible company. If you return an item, DO IT IN PERSON OR THEY WILL LIE TO KEEP YOUR MONEY. I paid to ship the items back and was scammed. I feel completely taken advantage of and I will NEVER be shopping with Journeys again.

I'm disappointed in the returns process at Journeys! 😤 They charge a return fee and then don't refund you in a timely manner. 😡 I waited two weeks for my refund and they said it takes 4-6 weeks once they receive the returned product! 🐌 Most companies refund when they receive the tracking info. 🤨 This is poor customer service! 👎Would just like to voice this information if youre like me and can only shop online so there are things you must return. #BadReturnsPolicy #CustomerServiceFail

Went to two different locations and both locations had bad customer service! Very much ridiculous! No one never spoke to me or helped me when I was in store. It was not busy at all …only two customers in store! So I walked out! The second store was worst! I walked in and one of the customer service workers was on the register desk….I was coming in to return the shoes I ordered online…it was two registers. I went to the first one and one of the girls that work there was slumped over on it and didn’t move and didn’t speak to me or look like she didn’t want to work or help me out…no emotion on her face. It made me feel like she wasn’t going to move to return my shoes…I went to the second one and that girl that was on top of the desk …helped me with the return. Another girl looked/investigated to see if I wear the shoes or not…that took extremely long looking/investigating. Made me feel very uncomfortable. The most worst experiences in two days! Do better Journeys and hire better people that want to work! It’s crazy I went to a crocs store and it was a way better experience and I let them know! I’m a person on spend my money at places that care about their customers and the experiences they have!

When I contacted customer service I was told exchanges/returns are at each stores discretion. This company allows their employees to discriminate against their customers. Ordered 10/12/24 with the clarity I would receive my sneakers within 3-5 days. 5 day slater I call and they have NO CLUE where my purchase is. $ days later they cancel it 2 days later they send email statin refund going to wrong account. Called the same day and they said it would take 3-4 WEEKS FOR A REFUNDDDDDDDDDDDD or get a gift card. Why would I want to purchase from you again??? Make it make sense. Ordered shoes to be delivered in 3-5 business days. It’s been 10 and no delivery. No tracking number and no one can tell me where they are. Chatted with suppprt 5 times in the last week and they keep telling me I should get an email from them in another 4 days. DO NOT BUY FROM JOURNEYS. They are no help and I’ve asked for the order to be cancelled and refunded three times and they say they can’t do anything since it’s been shipped though they have no clue where it went!!

Absolutely horrible experience. I’ve been purchasing shoes from journeys for over a decade. I purchased two different pairs of shoes two different orders. They double charged my account. Both of my accounts are negative. I called the company I’m not renting a hotel room. I’m purchasing a pair of shoes. There’s no reason why both of my cards should’ve been charged for days apart. I am irate. And will never purchase anything from journeys ever again. Putting an authorization hold on somebody that’s purchasing shoes is insane.

Order fail
Order was supposedly delivered successfully to my address, according to tracking, but I was home all day no deliveries were made and they couldn't even tell me the carrier that supposed to have made the phantom delivery. Tried to get customer service but just keep getting the run around of excuses. So customer service has now claimed order was lost and offering a 30% refund. What a joke, if the order was lost then how could it have been supposedly been delivered to my address.

Customer Service Policy Loses Loyal Customers
My Journey's account which had NO saved addresses shipped my shoes to an old address. I called FedEx to fix it. Fedex said only Journeys, the shipper, could fix it. I called Journeys immediately and was told to place the item on a FedEx hold which I did. The shoes were delivered anyways.
Their "policy" states that because it already went to FedEx, they couldn't offer a replacement or refund.
I have called and asked for my rewards account to be removed/Deactivated and I will now buy from anywhere but Journeys. What could've been a $60 replacement is now going to be missed sales in the thousands. I bought my own work and leisure shoes from there, shoes for my husband, shoes for my family. Any accessories picked out will now remain on shelves as I will not step foot in that store.
I wonder why Genesco stock is down and has been on a downward trend. Their policy makers are costing them loyal customers.
I bought from them for the last 10+ years.
